As the many characters get closer to Okinawa, their mode of transportation suddenly fills with a light hissing noise, and they soon become very sleepy.

Miroku examined his surroundings as a group of military men escorted him, his friends, and several other strange characters to a warehouse. Inside, everyone sat down on the floor, on a counter, or anywhere there was space. The room went silent as the author entered the room. Iris seemed to have a crazed look in her face. HoroHoro leaned over to Yoh and whispered, "I wonder what's wrong with Iris, she looks sick."

"That'd be nice it that was me, wouldn't it?", Yoh jumped and looked over at a cage where another Iris sat, this time she looked depressed. There was a pair of headphones duck taped to her head.

"Then who's-?"

"Hello, hello. Ah, so nice to see your bright faces. I am Siri Moon, Iris Sun's evil clone. I was born from the anger of frustrated anime fanfiction authors."

"What the hell are we doing here?" growled Wufei. Siri giggled and spun a knife in her fingers, this was obviously not a laughing matter.

"You all are here for Battle Royale."

"Battle Royale?" cried Sanosuke, jumping to his feet, "I've heard of that! It's where they get a bunch of innocent anime characters to kill each other!"

"Very good, Sano-chan.", Siri smiled and made a kissy face at him.

"Hmph." he grunted, "I'm not going to participate."

"That's quite impossible to accomplish. You see, to leave this island before Battle Royale is over will result in you losing your head."

"Nani?"

"Look at your neck and everyone else's neck for that matter." Sanosuke did look around and felt his neck, there was a metal collar around it. He tried to pull it off, but Siri's laugh caused him to stop, "Now, now, Sano-chan. Why don't you quit fighting, sit like a good bishounen, and just watch this handy video?"

"Like hell I will!" Sanosuke ran through the crowded room and threw his fist at Siri. The punch missed and Sano received Siri's knife in his gut. She grinned at the others who watched in horror as she twisted the knife around in his stomach. He cried in pain and fell to the ground, the knife still embedded in his abdomen. Siri looked down at her blood stained hand and sighed.

"I just got my nails done."

"You bitch!" Yahiko immediately stood up, only to be pulled back down by Kenshin. A scared look was a across the Battousai's face.

"What a good bishounen." snickered Siri, who licked the blood from her fingers, "He knows what's good for him." She stepped back and and clicked on the TV set behind her. An overly perky fangirl appeared on the screen, dressed in combat school fuku.

"'The Right Way To Fight a Battle Royale' by the BR Act Committee. Hello, specific characters of Shaman King, Inuyasha, Rorouni Kenshin, and Gundam Wing! You are the lucky animes chosen for this year's Battle Royale. Congratulations! Now, I'm going to explain the rules for you! Listen well to fight right and with gusto. You are on a island that looks like this! Its about 10 kilometers around, but we evacuated everyone, so it's empty!"

Ren slid back in his chair.

"The island is divided into many zones. Every six hours, your author's clone will broadcast updates about which zones are becoming danger zones. If you're in those zones, you should leave quickly because the danger is... Ok, about the necklaces you're wearing. They're 100% waterproof, shockproof and permanent! It monitors your pulse, informing us of your location and movements. So if you linger in a danger zone, or cause trouble we can identify you and transmit radio waves that trigger an alarm and BOOM! It explodes! If you try to rip it off, it explodes too, so promise not to do that, ok? Also, if you happen to refuse to fend for yourself, a small chip in your collar call the OOC chip can be activated!

"Oh, I forgot one important thing! There's a time limit on this game! 3 days. If we haven't got a winner after 3 days, all the necklaces automatically explode! And no one wins. As long as we're here, lets fight hard to make sure that doesn't happen!"

"You'll leave the room one by one, but first you get a kit! Inside is a ration book for these conveniently placed vending machines, a map and compass, and a flashlight. You've been allowed to keep your own weapons, just for natural selection." the fangirl smiled as she held a sword over her head and sliced down, "And one last thing, there are also rabid fangirls lurking around the island, they've been forced to listen to monologues their least favorite anime characters over and over for two years, so watch out for them!" Siri turned the video off and smiled at the group.

"Any questions?"

"I got one." Trowa raised his hand.

"Shoot."

"How were we chosen?"

"Impartial lottery."

"One more."

"Go ahead."

"Why are you doing this?"

"It's your own damn fault. You mock us authors as if your lives did not revolve around our story making powers. Go ahead and mock us but remember you're are the pawns we use in our game. So fight for your lives and see if you're worthy enough to live." Siri sneered. She motioned for one of the military men to come and call out the names of the characters and hand them their kits. As he called out Yoh's name, the lazy Shaman rose to his feet, patted his butt, and told the others he would wait for them.

"Yoh..." Anna whispered.

"Daijoubu."

The last of the characters were called out and they scattered into groups to find ways to get off of the island. Yoh sent HoroHoro and Anna off by themselves as he waited for Ren. The Chinese exited the warehouse.

"Ren-chan!" Yoh dashed over to him, "HoroHoro and Anna are already gone, but if we get moving now, we'll be able to catch them!"

"I'm not going."

"Nani? But, we're friends and we need to stick together." Ren turned to look at Yoh, his eyes darkened and full of a malice that had long since disappeared.

"I'm not your friend. I am the only one needed." He leaned forward and kissed Yoh. The Japanese boy was caught off guard by first the kiss then by Ren's Kwan-Dao going straight through his heart. Yoh whimpered and Ren smiled, carrying Yoh's body out into the brush to go hide it for someone, hopefully Anna, to find.
