Celena: *entering on Kohaku's arm happy and flushed* Ah, that was so fun- *as she steps further into the room, Naraku's figure becomes clear in the middle of the room, kneeling down, the pelt hiding him* AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Kohaku: *grabs his chain sickle from his bed and steps in front of Celena protectively* Kisama….

Naraku: Kukuku…you think you can protect her? How pitiful…not that it matters. It is not her time to die-it is yours. *With a flick of his hand, the Shikon shard embedded in Kohaku's back pops out and floats over to Naraku's hand as Kohaku's eyes widen and he drops to the floor, lifeless. Naraku disappears with a sinister chuckle as Celena screams and kneels down and throws herself over Kohaku.*

Celena: *barely able to speak* No…please…this can't be happening…. I won't let you die, Kohaku. *passes out as everyone walks in on the scene*

Sango: *clasps hand over her mouth* Kohaku! Celena! What's going on!

Inu-Yasha: *sniffing* He smells…dead….

Sango: NO!!!!

Kagome: What about Celena? Is she…?

Inu-Yasha: No, she's alive…just unconscious, but…it's hard for me to sense her soul…it's as if part of it has left.

Kagome: WHAT?!

Hitomi: No, it's okay. She's gone to bring him back.

Van: Yes…just like you did for me, Hitomi.

Sango, Miroku, Shippou, Sesshoumaru, Rin, Inu-Yasha, Kagome, and Kikyou: …?

Penguin: *runs in, panicked* Celena-chan? What happened? I felt something… *stares blankly down at her* Celena-chan…

Hitomi: She must really care for him if she's able to do this.

Sango: *shaking Hitomi by the shoulders* What do you mean, Hitomi? What's she doing? What's going on, here? What about Kohaku? Is he going to be alright? Will they be able to get back? What's happening?

Penguin: *placing a hand on Sango's shoulder* It's okay…she'll come back with him.

(Meanwhile, Celena is free-falling in a black void, calling for Kohaku.)

Kohaku: Celena…? Is that you, Celena…?

Celena: *seeing an orb of light in the distance and heading towards it* Kohaku! I'm coming! *She reaches out to touch the light, which brightens and blinds her. She closes her eyes, and when she opens them she sees the fortified village where Kohaku once lived with Sango and his father. Kohaku is sitting with his father, smiling.* Kohaku….

Kohaku: Hi, Celena! I want you to meet my dad.

Kohaku's Father: *looking mournful* He doesn't understand, you see. It took me a while to remember when first I came here.

Celena: I'm sorry, but this can't be. Kohaku, you have to come with me.

Kohaku: But I just got here! It seems like I haven't seen my father in so long….

Celena: But you can't die! You need to be with me and with everybody else! *she grabs his wrist and pulls him into the black void*

Kohaku: But…where are you taking me? What's going on? What is this place? *they land on a river bank where there is a radiant woman dressed in gold seated on an ethereal throne* Who are you?

Gold Woman: You need not concern yourself with such. Come here, Kohaku.

Kohaku: *steps forward nervously* …

Gold Woman: *touches his shoulder gently and smiles* Now, go, you and your friend. You have been returned to life. All you need to do is cross the river. *she motions with her arm and a golden bridge appears over the water*

Celena: *grasping Kohaku's hand with a smile* Come on, Kohaku. Come with me.

Kohaku: *Grasping her hand in return, they run across the bridge and as they step onto the other side, they feel warm and all goes black. A second later, they open their eyes back on the floating fortress, still on top of each other.*

Celena: *sits up* Oh! Hi everyone!

Kohaku: *sits up, reaching to feel his back* It's gone…

Sango: *tear* What?!

Kohaku: I don't need the Shikon shard anymore! It's gone!

Sango: *falling to her knees, she embraces Kohaku* You did it!

Hitomi: *hugging Celena* I knew you could…. You must really care for him to be able to do that.

(Kagome, although still confused, kneels and hugs Celena as well. Inu-Yasha looks relieved, although he tries to hide it by asking if Naraku has the shard. Miroku is smiling down at Sango, glad to finally see her happy. Penguin and Folken are hugging in their happiness, but quickly stop once they realize what they're doing and glare at each other. )
