InuYasha Fan Fiction / Gundam Wing Fan Fiction / Vision Of Escaflowne Fan Fiction ❯ A Sequel! More things you didn't know and didn't need to know about Escaflowne and Inu-Yasha! ❯ Chapter Twenty-three ( Chapter 23 )
(Meanwhile, Hitomi is preparing breakfast for herself when she spots Heero standing in the door.)
Hitomi: Oh! Heero! Everyone's been looking for you, where were you?
Heero: *turns to leave*
Hitomi: Hey, wait! Where are you going? *follows Heero out the door and sees him enter another room down the hall* Heero? *follows him into the room and the door closes behind her, leaving her in darkness* Wha…what's going on?
Within the black, an image begins to form…she is looking down at Amano as he reaches up to her…she's going to Gaea, but all she can see is his face, his scared face as he reaches up…and he fades from view as she is pulled away…. She sees Allen, kissing Millerna, but that scene falls away as she sees him wounded, wounded because of her…it's her fault he's lying there. He saved her….
(Dornkirk and Naraku are watching the scene on Kanna's mirror. Kanna had suddenly appeared about five minutes before. Now, Naraku is holding her mirror up before Dornkirk. Meanwhile, Kanna and Heero are standing by the door giving each other sidelong glances of interest. The scene in the mirror changes to Folken, who is still lying on the table, although now awake.)
Dornkirk: Monkey-kins, press THE BUTTON.
Naraku: Yes, my Dorny-kins. *presses a large red button on a table in the middle of the room labeled "Evil Button of Pain. Warning: It Bites When Pressed Too Frequently"*
Folken: *cringes as a jolt of electricity from the mechanical device (machine) travels to his metal arm and shocks him. The shock lasts for five seconds and is repeated every ten seconds*
Dornkirk: That will teach my former Strategos to try and kill me, as I have foreseen he will.
Naraku: That would be an awful thing to come to pass, dearest Dorny-kins. However, now that your Strategos is sure to meet his end, that can never come to pass. Now, let us watch him suffer…kukuku….
(Okee dokee now…let's move on. But! Before we do, we have a little-bitty-itsy-witsy author's note. Here it is: [[In the next portion, we state something that has never been proven in the Escaflowne series and is just something that we speculated at 2:00 AM one day, `cause that's just how things work. So, pretty please, if it offends you in any way or just seems totally weirded out, don't bother flaming/e-mailing us about it-we know. Arigatou gozaimashite.]] Anyhoo, moving on. Here we are in the boy's dorm in the middle of the day, for once. Anyone ever noticed that EVERYTHING in this messed little ficcy happens at night? Well, we have, but maybe that's because we're writtin' the thing. Heh, don't you just love this little babble-filled tangents? Okay, so: The only people in the dorm are Kikyou and Allen, who are sitting on Allen's bed, trying to escape the noise and drama from outside. Unbeknownst (ooooooooooooooh, big word!) to them, Kohaku and Celena are right outside the door, listening, trying to figure out exactly what has been going on between them.)
Allen: What was it like for you to be such a revered priestess? I mean, you must have had to lead a very different life, having to devote yourself to purifying and protecting the jewel you held against youkai.
Kikyou: *smiling bitterly* Yes, my life was changed when I received that cursed jewel. I had to become something superior, something inhuman, something completely pure. I could not express my emotions, succumb to my desires or my whims. I had to be strong and protect and purify the Shikon no Tama. That was my life-the Shikon no Tama. I was nothing more than its guardian. Feh, what a joke. And then, of course, there was Inu-Yasha, and my powers began to fade…I suppose it was the first time that I really had my own life, though. It wasn't just about the Shikon no Tama then, it was about what I felt. *She catches herself as she realizes how personal she is getting and suddenly turns to Allen* And what about you? What secrets do you hold?
Allen: Secrets? Well…anno…I suppose I could tell you about…
Kikyou: Nani?
Allen: …about my father. You see, my father abandoned our family when I was only a child. He left because he sought adventure and yearned to know the secrets of the ancient civilization of Atlantis. Because he left, the family was left defenseless and my sister was captured by Zaibach's legions, and my mother died of sorrow once my sister was gone. Years later, I was able to meet my father's ghost in the ruins of Atlantis, and he said that he married and had children only to fulfill the duty to his family. He did not truly desire my mother's love, nor that of any other woman that I can tell. Thus I suspect that maybe he did not favor women, if you catch my drift.
Celena: *finger to lips* !
Kohaku: O.o
***ANOTHER AUTHOR'S NOTE: Just like to clarify that to the societies within Escaflowne and Inu-Yasha, any other sexual preference outside of the typical one boy and one girl in love relationship was not condoned, so that's why the reactions are so dramatic here. That's all.***
Kikyou: But what does that have to do with you? I want to know something about you, your story.
Allen: My story…? Oh, Kikyou, you really don't want MY story.
Kikyou: *smiling* Now I really want your story. Come now, tell me something about yourself. What are you thinking?
Allen: …I doubt you would want to know.
Kikyou: Come now, I told you something personal about myself, now let me know something about yourself.
Allen: Promise you won't get mad?
Kikyou: Why should I get mad?
Allen: Just promise!
Kikyou: Very well then, I won't get mad.
Allen: All right, then. You remember the woman Marlene I spoke to you about earlier?
Kikyou: The woman who once you loved?
Allen: Yes. Well, she and I…progressed further in our relationship than it seems you and Inu-Yasha did.
Kikyou: What do you mean?
Allen: I mean…we had a child.
Kikyou. …you had a WHAT?!
Allen: *meekly* A child….
Kikyou: That is MUCH further than I ever went with Inu-Yasha!
Allen: You promised you wouldn't get mad.
Kikyou: That's before I knew what you were going to say!
Celena: *beckoning to Kohaku, having heard enough*
(Kohaku follows Celena back to the girls' dorm, where all of the girls are sitting and talking to each other.)
Kagome: Has anyone seen Hitomi? I haven't seen her since breakfast….
Sango: And neither Folken nor Heero nor Dilandau have shown up yet. Somehow, I just can't believe that this is all coincidence.
Relena: Where are Celena and Kohaku, by the way?
(Celena and Kohaku enter at this point, heading over to Celena's bed and sitting next to each other.)
Celena: I cannot believe that. I mean, my father…and then my brother…. Talk about family scandal! I mean, I have a niece or a nephew?!
Kohaku: Your family is very interesting….
Celena: Well, now I even a better excuse if Allen yells at me for talking to you. I can say: "Well, at least I don't plan on conceiving a child!"
Kagome: Whoa, what's this?
Celena: My dad was gay and my brother had a child!
All: …eeeeeeeeeeeeh?
Kagome: What are you talking about?
Kohaku: We were listening in on Allen and Kikyou. They were exchanging secrets, and Allen had some very…interesting ones….
Celena: Yeah, you could say that.
Sango: Who did Allen have a child with?
Celena: Some lady named Marlene.
Millerna: *appearing in the center of the room in a puff of pink smoke* With WHO?! With my SISTER?!
Erinah: And the plot thickens….
Millerna: *disappears in another puff of pink smoke*
Karen: Vhere deed all the pink smoke come from?
