~~~~~Authors notes: Remember this is my first fanfic so don’t send me any flamers cause I’m just going to delete them. And now here is were the story or at least part of it will start. ~~~~~~   THE MYSTERIOUS SEVEN By: Theory of an Invisible Man Prologue  

First I fell I should tell you about the characters in this story since some you might not have heard of. First is Artemis he isn’t from any show the name came from a book but the character himself is of my own. Now I will introduce the STAR OCEAN cast: Fayt is 21years old. His main weapon is a blade called the Divine Avenger; he is fast and just as strong. Next there is Cliff and who is 39 years old, his weapons of chose are the gauntlets and he is incredibly strong but not the fastest and defiantly not the smartest among them but has good hunches. Then you have Maria the sharpshooter of the group. Her weapon of chose is the particle beam pistil. She is 21 years old. All of the females have Elemental Leather where as the guys have the heaver reflexives armor. Then you have Mirage who also uses gauntlets. She is about 30 and is like Cliff except faster and smarter just not as strong. After her we come to Peppita who is 17. She is very fast and kind of strong. She is extremely agile and a little weird. Her weapon of chose is a cape with heavy steal and/or jade rings on the end. Then you have Sophia who is the spell caster, healer, and worry wart of the group. She is 20 and is very smart not to strong physically but magically she is also one who shouldn’t be underestimated in a fight. After her you have my personal favorite Nel, she is a twin blade user fast and strong, plus she’s smart with pinkish red hair. Then you have Albel. He uses a mechanical claw that is his right hand and a katana. He’s fast and strong, slim and smart. He is the most cut throat of the group. He is the type of person that kills first and tries to ask a question while he is killing people though he isn’t as bad as he us to be. The story begins

It was three year after the events with the creator and the executioners ended and everyone had gone there own way, only to end up at a conference at earth in New York City, where this story starts. It’s about 6:00 A.M. and the conference was just about to start as soon as everyone got reacquainted.

“So where have you been Fayts? The last time I saw you, you were heading back to Vanguard III to visit the two kids you met there.”

“Well I did, but then I decided to go visit Nel, and that’s where I’ve been. It is really easy to get to other planets when I transport through Gemity,” Fayt stated.

“Yeah I guess you are right about that.” Cliff said with a shrug.

“They’re so unusual. So what have you been up to, Nel,” Sophia asked.

“Recon missions and things of that nature with Fayt and Albel, he has mellowed out some over the time he’s been with us.” Nel stated glancing at Albel will he was watching Fayt and Cliff chat about what they each had been up two when Mirage and Maria walked into the conference room followed by a tall man who was bigger than Cliff with a white suite and medals pinned on his chest.

“So why exactly have we all been called here if you don’t mind me asking.” Fayt asked with some genuine curiosity although he had a good idea why.

“The reason is simple you all have been called here to be awarded for stopping the creator and granted one gift from the Federation if you want it, as long as it’s in a reasonable range,” The man said in a deep rough voice.

“Oh, is that so? Well how about you leave me the hell alone! Your bosses are annoying as hell.” Cliff said and got up to leave the meeting.

“Alright, now sit back down.” The man said. Cliff did as he was told.

“I would like some of that armor of yours for me and my brigade.” Albel said for his first words of the conference.

“I could also use some for my unit as well.” Nel added.

“Okay, that can be arranged.” He turned to Peppita, Sophia, and Fayt and said, “What about you three?”

“I’ll be happy if my circus could perform for the Armed Forces of the Federation.” Peppita said with a little giggle thinking that the man would say no.
“That would be just fine the men need a laugh ever once in a while.” The man said with a grin.

“Really, that would be awesome!” Peppita said jumping up and down.

“I would just like to be left alone with my friends,” Sophia said and looked at all of her friends and giggled.

“I would like to be left alone with Nel, Albel, and Clair, but two other things what is your name first, and what did Maria and Mirage ask for?” Fayt asked looking at the man.

“It is Lukas Feuma. They both asked for complete and unrestrained pardons from the warrants that they have acquired. Every thing else will be taken care of after the ceremony latter this evening at 11:00 P.M.” Lukas replied standing up and leaving the room.

“Are our rooms ready so I can get some rest till then?” Cliff asked him as he stood up.

“Right, sorry about that, Cliff and Albel are sharing Room 505. Sophia and Mirage are also sharing another room, Room 506. Maria and Peppita are sharing a room, Room 507. Fayt and Nel have room 609. There is a little gap because of the men’s rooms. Although the rooms 573 through 608 are all empty and are used for storage. 610 and 709 were damaged when a robot went haywire and started to cause trouble. ”

“That’s fine. Let’s go, Fayt. You get to carry the bags to the room three floors up and there’s no transporter to that floor is there Luke.”

“I’m afraid that the transporter was also damaged during the ruckus with the robot.” Luke said with a frown.

“Oh joy,” Fayt answered with a scoff, “sees you all later. Hey, Nel Come on! Let me at least walk to the room first!!!”

“And there goes the new couple.” Albel said with a smirk as Fayt cased after Nel. Once Nel got to their room, she felt Fayt hug her waist and pick her up.

“Hey- what are you doing?! We’re in public- at least wait ‘till where in the r-” But she didn’t get the chance to finish her sentence when Fayt stared to kissing the gap of her neck and then nibble on her ear causing her to softly moan, and they stumbled into the room.

“Fayt we’re not doing this now! Oh, if you keep this up, I’m going to have to punish you.” Nel hissed and pushed away from him.

“That wouldn’t be so bad, now would it?” Fayt said with a sly grin on his face.

“Fine, but get the bags first. Then, if I feel like it, we’ll pick this up,” Nel said giving up the fight.

“Oh fuck the bags, it’s been 6 weeks since we last got together and I’m starting to think you don’t like it anymore.” Fayt sighed.

“Fine, but at least get the bags so I will have something to wear this evening.” Nel said

Fayt sighed, got up, left the room and took a transporter to the hanger and picked up Nel and his things and headed back up to his room. Not that they had much except for what they had bought in Gemity so they would have some nicer clothes than what they had on and there weapons which he wasn’t sure why she had made him bring them. He had bought her something that he thought that she would like and was keeping it a secret until later that evening. Once he got back to the room he set the bags that had there new clothing in them and the two boxes that had there weapons in them down in the far corner of the room. The room itself was pretty ordinary there were two beds but only one would be used there was a shower and a bath tub in another room that was connected to there. There was a computer terminal by the door which was all that was in the room.

“Happy? Here are the bags. Now where were we,” Fayt said as he picked her up while she wrapped her legs around his waist and he kissed her neck then nibbled her ear lob.

“Hold on a second Nel.” Fayt said as he sat her on the bed.

“What is your problem? You’re the one who wanted to do this in the first place.” Nel said getting a little upset.

“I know, I know, I‘m not stopping I‘m just switching positions.” Fayt said as he started to undress her and began kiss all the skin he could get to. First to go was her stockings and he kissed his way down her legs and placed kisses on all of the Runological tattoos. Then he took of her top and kissed the top of her breast and her stomach. After that he slid her bra off of her while kissing her nipples.

“Where did you learn to do that?” Nel said Fayt threw her bra to the floor with the rest of her clothing.

“I had a lot of time to think about it since you stopped having sex with me and I figured I would try something new.” He said then before he started to play with her breast, then gently squeezing the mound in his hands. “Lets just get it over with then we can celebrate.” Nel said as she and Fayt got off the bed.

“All right then lets get dressed.” As they were about to get dressed Fayt looked through his bags for the dress he had got for Nel.

“Here it is. Hey Nel, I had some money left over so I got this for you. I hope you like it.” Fayt said as he handed the dress to Nel. The dress was a silk red dress that was strapless and with a slit came up to her thigh.

“How do you like it Nel?”

“I really like it. Thank you so much Fayt its lovely.”

“Good, then should we get going and get this over with.”

“Yeah, where did they say the ceremony was.”

“It’s in the dinning hall three floors down.” As they left there room they say a sign that said the transporters were working again so they headed for the transporter only to notice no one was out in the hall or in the transporter room. When they got in the transporter it took them to a large corridor that wasn’t where they were suppose to go.

“Where we at?”

“I honestly don’t know where we are.”

“Please advance down the corridor and follow the yellow lights on the floor.” came an announcement over the intercom system.

“Well let’s go.” Nel said. As they walked down the long hallway they talked about getting married and when they would have it. As they continued to walk down the corridor they notice that there were no doors on ether side of the hallway. When they reached the end of the hallway there was a door where the yellow lights ended. When they went through the door they came into a completely dark room.

“Congratulations!!!!” All there friends shouted at once.

“What the hell is going on here?” Fayt said.

“Why are you all here?” Nel asked

“Well we all decided that since you two are a couple we would throw you a party.” Sophia said giving them a happy smile.

“Well thanks guys but that’s not necessary.” Fayt said looking at all of them.

“Well we're all already here so let’s enjoy ourselves while we’re here.” Nel said looking at the table that was prepared for all of them.

“All right, if you say so, Nel. Oh should we tell them now or later?”

“Lets go ahead and tell them now.”

“Guy’s we have something we need to tell you,” Fayt said.

“And what is it you want to tell us.” Cliff asked.

“Well Nel and I are going to get married,” Fayt said

“What? When the hell did that happen?” They all asked in unison.

“Well it happened after I found out Nel wanted to have a child, which was about half an hour ago.”

“Uh well congratulations I think.” Maria said not sure of wait else to say.

“You two sure like to jump straight into things don’t you?” Cliff said putting a hand on his hip and another on his head.
“Cliff be nice now, we get to plan another party for them.” Albel said with a smirk.

“Yeah good point. When are you going to have the wedding?” Mirage asked.

“Well we are planning on having it on Elicoor II in a few months.” Fayt said looking at Nel getting a mental picture of their wedding in his head.

“Well congratulation you two.” Sophia said.

“We decided to have an outdoor wedding.” Nel said glancing at Fayt. After they talked about the wedding they all eat at the party and talked about wedding plans.

“So when is the ceremony suppose to start.” Fayt said getting of topic for a moment.

“Oh shit it starts in ten minutes come on ever body we have to get going to make it on time.” Albel Shouted and took off down the hall to the transporter and went down to the floor below where the ceremony was suppose to take place. After he steeped out of the transporter the others come out of the other transporters around the room.

“How far is the ceremony room,” Nel asked glancing at the others.

“It’s up one floor and third door on the right.” Fayt said.

“No it’s on this floor down the hallway third door on the left down another hallway and through the door at the end of that hallway.” Peppita said as she bounced around the group. As they made there way to the ceremony room they heard music and talking getting louder as they approached the room.

“Just made it on time. Look theirs our seats up in front.” Fayt said and made his way to his seat. The others followed behind him.

“Ah it’s about time you all showed up I thought I was going to have to stall them.” Jack said.

“We wouldn’t do that to this people they would never forgive us if we did that to them.” Cliff said with a grin.

“Now without further ado we would like to honor the people who made sure that we all would be alive right now by defeating the Creator. Please give a round of applause for Fayt, Cliff, Nel, Albel, Mirage, Maria, Peppita, and last but certainly not least Sophia.” As the audience applauded the group walked on stage and sat down behind the man speaking.

“Now to award them there meddles. For bravery in the face of danger and saving the entire universe, here are your meddles.” As the man pined meddles to all of there shirts, then he smiled and congratulated all of them for deleting the creator and his army.

“So what are we suppose to do now that we have our awards.” Fayt asked Cliff who was beside him.

“Well I guess we can sit down now,” And he sat down followed by ever one else.

“Thank you all again and enjoy the celebrations.” The tall man said to them as they walked off stage.

“So should we mingle or just find a seat and talk among ourselves.” Albel asked hopping they would chose to find a seat and just talk amongst themselves.

“I guess we can just take a seat because there is no one here that I know.” Cliff said and headed for the nearest unoccupied table with the others behind him. When they all wear seated they talked about wedding plans and decided on having the wedding the way Nel wanted, in which was a traditional stile where the wedding would take place in the Sacred City of Aquios in the church there. It would be very extravagant wedding with a white silk dress for her with diamonds in it and a black silk suit for Fayt that could carry his sword on his hip with a golden sheath with rainbow colored gem stones imbedded in it. Then there was a loud boom that caught everyone’s.

“What the hell was that?” Cliff asked as everyone drew there weapons.

“And why the hell do we all have our weapons with us.”

“I always have my blade(s) with me.” Albel, Fayt, and Nel said at the same time.

“I just had my gun with me for safety.” Maria said “And I always have my gantlets on.” Mirage said. Then a loud voice echoed threw the room and screamed “Raaaaaa!!!! BLOOD RAIN.” then of red light shoot from the dust of the collapsed roof and shattered into thousand of pieces that hit everyone except for our Fayt and his friends.

“What was that exactly it looked like one of the attacks the Creator used on us except red?” Cliff said.

“Yeah you’re right but that didn’t sound like Luther to me.” Fayt said.

“That’s because it wasn’t Luther.” Maria said.

“Then who the hell was that?” Cliff asked when suddenly a tall dark monster with large silver wings and blue eyes stepped out of the smoke.

“I am a being with no name and no past I am just a messenger from the one. The message is: If you wish to live past the end of the mouth then you must bring seven people to my castle on Styx III in exactly one mouth and since today is the first you must start immediately. That is your message, I was also instructed to provide assistance in anyway possible as long as it involves catching the seven people the one is after.” The creature said in a rough crackly voice that would make a normal persons skin crawl.

“Well what should we call you then? Dragon thingy or do you have some kind some kind of name your master calls you.” Albel said scanning the monster over.

“You can call me Artemis the master of the elements.”

“Good thing our armor can absorb all the elements. Thanks to some people we meet on Elicoor III.” Fayt said showing the reflecting amore he was wearing.

“At lest you are not as stupid as some of your companions look,” Artemis said looking and Cliff, Nel, Peppita, and Albel.

“And what the hell is that suppose to mean you overgrown jackass of a dragon!!!!” Albel yelled at him will Fayt and Cliff held him back.

“Calm down, you’ll get your shoot at him later.” Fayt said as Albel tried to through his sword at Artemis.

“Okay I’m good let me go now.” Albel said calming down, but as soon as they let him go he tried to charge Artemis but failed when Fayt and Cliff grabbed him again.

“Knock it off Albel, god you’re like a fucking mull.” Cliff said letting go of Albel with Fayt.

“Are you finished yet? Because if you are here’s a list of the seven people. They are two too four solar systems away so we better get moving. Gemity is the fastest way to get there the transport has already been set up for us.” Artemis said while handing each of them a list of names.

“Who arranged the transport and how are you going to travel with us.” Fayt asked when he took the list then he noticed someone he had herd of before, “Hey, I thought this guy was just a myth.”

“Which one is it? There are seven: Yusuke, Alucard, Vash, Inuyasha, Spike, Squall, or Gene.” Artemis said as he finished handing out the list and went to look at Fayts list.

“This one, Yusuke, he is a legend here. He’s supposed to be the underworld detective.” Fayt said then looked at the power ranking he had received and it was a shock even to Cliff, it was 25.97 out of 30.”

“If he’s this strong how do we rank compared to him, better or worse.” Cliff asked hopping they were even.

“Well divided none of you can best any of them but together your all a 26 so you can beat all except for Alucard, he is raked as a 30 even though his power far exceeds the others, but he won’t be a problem. So you all should be able to handle them but you must stand together or fall forever with my master. By the end of this you all will be able to go at them separately and win, if you are lucky and learn anything from this.” Artemis said as he shrank to the size of Cliff and materialized clothing around him. They weren’t fancy just long black pants with a flaming red shirt that was hung loose on him and a light brown trench coat.

“So which one do you all want to go after first, or shall we just go to the nearest one.”

“Which one well be the easiest to go after.”

“In my personal opinion is that we go after Spike, since he is the trickiest but not very powerful as long as you all don’t underestimate him. I can also black mail him if I need to.” Artemis said will scratching the back of his hand and chest.

“Is there something bugging you.” Fayt asked looking at him suspiciously.

“It is just this dame skin it itches like it’s crawling with insects.” Artemis said while scratching his arms and back before just letting it melt off of him and turned back to his old form.

“After we take care of Spike I say we go after Gene then Vash, followed by Yusuke, Inuyasha, Squall, and then last we go after Alucard because of his regeneration ability, his superior marksmen skills and unmatched strength.” Artemis replied while headed for the hole he made in the roof.

“Now come on my master is waiting for us on his planet, we will take my ship there and then transporters to the other planets where we will capture the targets. Oh, and by the way my master can be real annoyed at times so don’t mouth off to him since he can kill all of you like you were insect under his boots.” Artemis told them as they made there way up the hole towards his ship that was waiting for them. Once they all were in they instantly were thrown into hyper space headed toward a planet Artemis called Styx III which was were his master was. He then told them how to find there rooms and five days later they were at Styx III. (Now I skipped the over the five days because nothing happened during the trip to Styx III so don’t have a cow. You didn‘t miss anything.)

When they arrived at the planet they saw that the planet looked was basically deserted, but as they got closer they noticed that there was a small castle that sat all by it’s self on a large mountain with nothing around it except for a landing pad. When they landed and they went inside the castle to find that is was also deserted, even the throne. There were suits of amore all around them that headed straight up to the throne.

“Hey, Artemis is this the right place because I don’t see anyone around.” Peppita asked looking around the room.

“Then who the hell am I you stupid little brat!!!” Boomed a voice that shock the floor that they stood upon, the voice just seemed to come out of no were for everyone except Artemis who got down on one knee and bowed his head.

“Master please forgive the new comers they did not mean to insult you but you weren‘t visible when we came in.” Artemis said while looking at the throne were there know sat a very tall man who looked more like a person made of rock with his large arms, broad chest, and big legs wearing a black suit and he had a long red cap draped over one of his shoulders and a gold crown on his head with a glass with golden decorations on it in his hand plus it had a very dark red liquid in it.

“My name is Leon, King Leon to all except Artemis. I assume you are the one’s who defeated Luther the creator am I correct? And why didn‘t you tell them that I don‘t have a physical body like them?” Leon asked them seating his glass down and standing up.

“It slipped my mind master, after seeing you like this for so long I guess I just stopped noticing it.” Artemis said standing up.

“Yeah that’s right but how do you know we have never met before know.” Cliff said stepping forward.

“Well we have never met directly but I have crossed paths with you before now.” Leon said to them.

“And were have you seen us.” Nel asked the King.

“Well that is the complicated part of this. For me to gain my flesh and blood back I had to either defeat Luther or capture seven people that were equal in power to me when I was living. The seven you are to capture for me are the only ones who were capable of defeating me if they were to fight together. You all are to be my helpers since I cannot leave this planet and Artemis can’t defeat them by himself.”

“I am sorry for my weakness master. I shall do all I can to help capture the seven and aid these people.” Artemis said bowing again to the King.

“There is no need for apologies my loyal friend. And I told you there is no need to bow to me. Now you probably have questions for me and if I can answer them I well if I can’t then o well.” The King said to them as he sat back down on his throne.

“Right first question, why did you pick us and not some other group of people out there in the vast universe?” Fayt asked the King.

“Well that is simple I only have a few weeks left and you all were the easiest to get to help me.” Leon said.

“Okay second question. What is so special about this seven people?” Sophia asked thinking it was a good question.

“The reason is because they all have one thing in common with each other and that is there strength and determination that I use to have when I was alive.” The king said to her.

“Okay third question. How come you only have a few weeks until wait exactly?” Cliff asked Leon.

“I was hopping I wouldn’t get that question until you all returned but I will answer it now. The reason is because this planet is going to be destroyed and if I don’t get my body back and I will go bye bye when it goes, because I am bound to it.” Leon said to them picking his glass back up and taking a long look at it before throwing it up into the air and then blowing it to pieces with a flick of his wrist.

“Okay final question, how did you do that if you don’t have a body?” Albel asked looking at him as if he was a liar.

“It is simple I’m just a spirit, and what is the spirit you might ask, well it’s just energy and I can harness that energy anyway I see fit at the time when I concentrate hard enough on it, like you just witnessed.” Leon said to him.

“Okay if you have that ability who’s to say you won’t come after us when you have your body back.” Fayt asked him.

“I swear on my body that you are completely safe while in my company.” Leon said showing them his hands.

“Okay now that you have met my master and the questions have been asked lets get on with this and go capture some people and get this over with.” Artemis said and headed for the arch way next to the thrown. (Okay I see this as a good time to give you all a layout of the room they were in. It was like a large throne room there was the throne with many suits of armor all around the room lining the walls of the room. There were pillars placed leading to the throne that had arches connecting them. There were five way into the room including the main entrance. In-between the suits of armor were windows every two to three suits in-between the rest were ether portraits of people that had one thing in common with Leon and that was the look in there eyes and the fact that all of the pictures and Leon had the same colored eyes, there were a very dark red that grew darker as you got closer to the main entrance. That is basically the layout of the room.) As the group followed Artemis they all were wondering one thing what’s up with the red eyes, is kind of creepy.

“If you’re wondering what’s up with there eye’s it a generic thing. All of my ancestors have red eye’s, but we were the only ones on the planet that had red eye’s so most people were scared of us that is why the castle is in the middle of nowhere and there no people left on this planet; it gets very lonely here and I so wish to leave this planet and find someone to spend my eternal life with.” Leon said while looking at all of the portrait then lying back in his throne and closing his eyes.

“Let’s go so he can sleep in peace until we return.” Artemis said as he hurried to a glowing purple square in the middle of a completely bare room.

“This will take us to the deferent planets and will change our appearances so we can blend in better it will also provide us with a small amount of currency for were ever we go.” Artemis explained to them.

“Alright then lets get going. This place gives me the creeps and the phantom guy doesn’t help much.” Cliff said and was the first in the transporter followed by the rest of the group.

Authors notes: Okay that was the first chapter and I’m tired so this is were I’m going to end it for now the next chapter will pick up were this one left of with them coming out of the transporter. Please review and I will take suggestions for latter pairings.
