Author Notes: Quick note I don’t own any of the characters in my story except for Artemis. I just come up with the strange and weird things to do to them.

When they came out they were standing in a field outside a giant building that put everywhere else they had been too to shame. They were outside this huge white, blue, and red building that strangely resembled a tear.

“So were are we this time?” Nel asked walking up beside Artemis although she was happy to be back in leather and actual clothes that resembled her original leather shirt and skirt except instead of being black these were a bright purple that matched her eyes perfectly and had Fayt completely star struck, plus instead of a skirt she was in leather paints. All the girls’ outfits were completely identical except they varied in color. Peppitas’ was an almost neutral orange, while Sophias’ was more of an emerald green color. Were as Marias’ was a dark blue that matched her hair, and Mirages’ was almost a golden shade of yellow that also matched her hair perfectly. All the guys’ had completely deferent outfits. Fayt got long dark blue leather paints with a white t-shirt and a dark blue almost black leather jacket. Artemis was in long black paint with a red button-up shirt. Cliff was in jeans with a black trench coat and a black shirt. Albel got blue jeans with a dark blue shirt and a combat jacket that had Albel sewed into it.

“This is were we will hopefully find Squall.” Artemis said as he headed for the giant building.

“This place is called Balamb Garden. Squall is suppose to be the headmaster here. So if we are lucky he should be in his office on the third floor.” He said as he continued to walk toward the Garden.

“But what if he isn’t in his office?” Peppita asked bouncing along beside Artemis.

“Well if that happens to be the case then we will just wait for him here unless he isn’t suppose to be back anytime soon then we will just have to go look for him.” Artemis replied smiling at her. As soon as they got to the entrance they saw a small group of people headed there way and Artemis decided to do the smart thing and ask if Squall was around the garden somewhere and if so where he was and so he did.

“Excuses me but do you know were we can find Squall.” Artemis asked the young man in the brown trench coat.

“Yeah, but who are you and why do you want to see him?” The young man asked reaching inside of his coat to where his hand couldn’t be seen.

“Well the thing is my boss need to see him to talk about some private business that, unless you’re Squall has nothing to do with you.” Artemis said as he looked the man up and down before deciding the guy couldn’t be too big of a threat to him.

“Well you right about one thing he isn’t Squall. His name is Irvine. That’s Selphie beside him in the yellow dress, Zell beside her in the blue jeans and red and black jacket, and that’s Quistis and Rinoa on the other side of him a young man in black pants a black leather jacket and a white t-shirt under his jacket said as he came down some steeps behind Irvine and his little group.

“So that must mean your Squall, aren’t you?” Fayt said stepping forward.

“Maybe but who are you to come in hear and start asking for the headmaster without even giving your names first.” The young man said as he continued to walk forward.

“Sorry, I’m Fayt this is Artemis that’s Albel over there, then this is Cliff, Nel, Sophia, Maria, Mirage, and that the one who is examining your flowers over there in the orange is Peppita.” Fayt said introducing everybody.

“I see well, in that case I am Squall the headmaster of Balamb Garden.” Squall said introducing himself.

“See Peppita I told you he would be here.” Artemis said walking over to where Peppita was standing.

“Yeah, you were right Artemis; I wonder what kind of flower this is.” Peppita said shifting her attention back to the red and pink flower.

“It’s called a hybrid between a rose and a begonia.” Quistis said walking over to the two of them. Peppita and Artemis turned around to find that Quistis was now standing behind them.

“Hello, who are you?” Peppita asked smiling up at Quistis.

“I am Quistis, and you must be Peppita, your friend Fayt told me your name.” Quistis said smiling back a Peppita. While Fayt and Artemis talked to Squall the others were being shown around the garden by Irvine and the others.

“So let me get this straight you want me to go meet your boss for at least a week and leave this place in the hands of my friends, have got it all or did I leave something out?” Squall said as he crossed he arms and leaned back in his chair.

“No that pretty much covered it.” Fayt said as he leaned back in his own chair while Artemis sat as straight as a board in his chair with his arms in his pockets.

“How about this if you all can beat me and my group in an all out no holds battle I’ll go with you. If you can’t beat us then I stay here and you all leave.” Squall said leaning forward and putting his elbows on his desk and interlocking his hands in front of his face.

“Okay you got a deal, when and were is all we need to know.” Artemis said starting to get interested in this.

“Tomorrow outside the garden there is nothing but field and forest out there for quite a ways so we should be able to have a battle there without drawing any attention to ourselves.” Squall said as he got up from his desk and walked over to the door leading out of his office.

“You all can stay in the garden since I doubt that there are any rooms that the hotel in Balamb that you can rent. I’ll put the guys’ in my old dorm and I’ll put all the girls’ in Rinoas’ dorm since it’s the least crowded.” Squall said as he lead Fayt and Artemis to there rooms down on the first floor were they ran into the rest of there friends.

“So Squall want do you want us to do with them. We have showed them everything and even let them have a crack at the training grounds; o and on that note we need to get some more monsters because I think they killed them all.” Zell said as he walked up to Squall.

“Well the guys’ will be rooming in your dorm for tonight and the girls will be rooming in Selphies’ dorm.” So why don’t you show them the way and then if they want you can show them around, which town are we closest to again, well whatever you can so them around the town.” Squall said honestly haven forgotten were they were.

“You are you sure about that?” Selphie asked looking up to Squall who just nodded a yes to her.

“And don’t stay out to late. Tomorrow we have a little contest and if they can bet us in a no holds battle they want me to go see there boss but if we win then we won’t every have to deal with them inside this garden again.” Squall said as he turned around and headed back up to his office on the top floor of the school. Meanwhile Zell showed the guys’ were they would be staying and gave each of them there own room because of two reasons, one they were guest, and two the rooms were too small for two of them to spilt. While Zell did that Selphie and Rinoa showed the girls’ were they would be sleeping that night. After that Irvine and Quistis showed them the town which turned out to be Esthar. It was a nice city with lots of people and tons of shops that ranged from weapon shops to magazine shops to clothing shops. Peppita and Quistis went and drowsed threw the magazine shops while Rinoa, Selphie, Nel, Maria, and Mirage went to the clothing shops. Finally Albel, Fayt, and Artemis were left with only Zell and Irvine to show them around and Fayt wasn’t completely thrilled with the idea of being lead around a strange cite by these too.

“So should we go to the weapons shop or the bar? The choice is yours.” Irvine said turning away from the direction all the girls went and looking to the new comers. I want to see what the weapon shop has.” Fayt said and Albel did to so Zell showed them all the deferent weapon shops while Artemis wanted to go to the bar and get a drink so Irvine showed him the bar and decided he could try and score with a chick while he was at it, so those two headed for the bar. Over the next couple of hours Artemis won five drinking contest, Irvine got four girls numbers, slapped twice, and kissed once. Fayt and Albel found a couple of interesting weapons but nothing that could compare to Fayts Divine Avenger, although Albel had found a sword that was very impressive but couldn’t stand up against his demonic sword.

“Those are some pretty impressive weapons you guys’ have but I’m doubtful at best that they could stop Squalls Lion Heart Gunblade.” Zell said as he pulled out a copy of the very first weapons monthly and showing them a picture of Squalls gunblade.

“Wow know that’s a sword the thing looks nicer than your Fayt.” Albel said taking the magazine from Zell and closely examining it.

“Well we’ll just see how well he can use it tomorrow Fayt said as he took the magazine from Albel and gave it back to Zell. When they left the store they spotted Artemis being supported by Irvine and Artemis looked like he was about ready to faint.

“What the hell happened to him?!” Fayt asked walking up to Irvine.

“Well the thing is I took him to the bar and I figured he would tell me when he was ready to leave. Well to make a long story short-” “To late” Fayt interrupted, “He competed in a few to many drinking games and now this is what’s left of him.” Irvine finished as Fayt helped him set Artemis on a nearby bench.

“Where the hell is Sophie when you need here?” Albel said looking around trying to see if he could spot her, but she and the others were nowhere to be seen.

“Don’t worry so much Albel I got an idea. Are there lakes or rivers around here that we can dump him in?” Fayt asked walking over to Artemis and putting him to sleep with the wave of his hand.

“Yeah the ocean is just a little was out past the edge of town.” Irvine said and so the dragged Artemis out to the ocean which took them about twenty minutes all together. Once they got to the water Fayt took Artemis dragged him out into the water walked back to the shore and mad sure he wasn’t touching water and told the others to do the same, then before they knew it he had shot a bolt of lightening into the water and causing Artemis’ brain to basically reboot itself and completely vaporized all of the toxins in his body.

“Erg, hot, what the fuck did you do that for?” Artemis said jumping out of the water his hair had shot of in every direction making it look like he had a very wavy afro.

“Well it woke you up didn’t it; a first all I was going to do was throw you in the water to see if that would wake you up and when it didn’t I improvised and added a little lightning to the water.” Fayt said as he crossed his arms in front of his chest.

“Yeah and look at my arm the thing wont stop wiggling around, not to mention every one of my muscles just did a system check. Do have any idea what that feels like?” Artemis stated really angry with Fayt for trying to electrocute him. Irvine and Zell shock there head no to his question, but Fayt actually shock his head yes.

“As a matter of fact I have been shock over god now how many times from when I was on my last quest.” Fayt sad not wanting to say that he was on another planet around people he didn’t even know, because they would probable think that he was crazy and try and lock him up in a mental institution.

“What happened to your arm?” Peppita said as she cam running down the beach towards Artemis with Quistis walking behind her.

“Don’t worry Peppita; it’s nothing to worry about me so much. Just remember my body heals a lot faster than yours dose.” Artemis said smiling down a Peppitas’ worried face.

“Well okay if you say so then I guess your okay.” Peppita said letting go of his arm which had stopped squirming around and was finally back under his control.

“So what did you two do to him to make his arm go nuts like that?” Quistis said walking up to Zell and Irvine.

“Hay don’t look at us, he’s the one who shot him with electricity. And besides we were only the guides they chose were they wanted to go.” Irvine said putting his hands inside his pockets.

“Is that so, then let me guess Zell showed them the weapons shop while you must have taken him to get a drink at the local bar. So how many girls slapped you and then called you a pig?” Quistis said putting her hand on her hips and giving Irvine a look of disapproval.

“Hey I got four girls phone number, and one of them even kissed my.”

“Then let me guess, you got slapped at least twice.”

“Hay I resent that what I do is my own business and who I do it with doesn’t concern you.”

“Well you have a point but it dose concern the garden and if you keep hitting on almost every girl that walks past you Selphie will throw you out of her room then Squall is going to throw you out of the garden.” She said and that was the end of there conversation.

“Jez you people are really strict aren’t you?” Fayt said as he sat down on the beach and looking at the sun start to set.

“Well when it comes to some people we have to be strict.” Zell said in place of Quistis.

“So I take it that you all have a higher ranking that the students I saw in the black uniforms.” Fayt said as he looked over to where Zell was standing.

“Yeah, you see there are two groups at the garden. There are the normal students who are training to become SeeD members and then there are the SeeD members who go out on missions by the garden and help all sorts of people.” Irvine said as he started to walk back towards the city.

“Shouldn’t we get back to town about now?” Artemis said as he started to walk back to the city.

“Yeah the others should almost be finished shopping or hopefully they haven’t spent all of our money.” Fayt said walking after them with Quistis and Peppita right behind him.

“Don’t worry about it the garden all SeeD members when we shop for thing that we need or at least say we need.” Quistis said as he hurried past him to go keep an eye on Irvine and Zell. Once they all got back to the city they found that the others were actually the ones waiting on them.

“Where were you Fayt? I started to think that you guys’ had left us hear.” Nel said putting her hands on her hips.
“I have never left you behind and I don’t plain on starting to now.” Fayt said walking around behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist and putting his chin on her shoulder. Once they were all back together they decided to head back to the garden since the sun was setting and they were starting to get a little hungry.

“The food in the cafeteria might not be a four star meal but its good.” Zell said once they were back in the garden he showed them to the cafeteria where they were lucky to find that there was still a cook there with some food left over; thankfully there was enough food left over for all of them. After they had all eaten everybody headed for there rooms except for Fayt and Artemis who headed for the training area.

“Okay Artemis you promised you would show me how to do that thing you didn’t to Naraku, Divine Judgment was it?” Fayt said drawing his sword.

“Right but remember I only used that attack because I knew it wouldn’t kill Naraku. If you use that attack on someone tomorrow you will definitely kill them.” Artemis said and Fayt nodded a yes and got his sword ready in both hands.

“Okay first of all this is a very physical and mentally taxing ability there is a good chance that if you do it successfully you will pass out afterwards. If you mess it up, well lets just say the only thing you would be doing from then on is just lying on you back in a dark space.” These caused Fayt to gulp out of uncertainty but he was determined to learn the attack.

“Well first of you need to put as much of you magic as you can into your sword or you can do what I did and draw the magic from the universe itself and use that which will make the attack stronger but also posses a greater threat to the new or inexperienced fighter. Second you have to know what you want the energy to become and when you want it to become that. Let me demonstrate. First I concentrate on collecting my energy.” As he said this his sword started to glow with the familiar white light.

“Then you have to harness and contain it around your weapon.” Again as he was saying this the energy did as he said and formed perfectly around his sword.

“And the final thing to do is to think of what you want you want the energy to do and what you want it to become.” This time as he said it a T-Rex cam charging from inside the forest around them and Artemis disappeared then reappeared right behind the T-Rex were the light around his shot towards the T-Rex and the energy this time turned into thousands of ninja throwing stars that pierced the creatures flesh and causing it massive pain until it bleed to death and fell to the ground in front of Fayt.

“If you can understand that you should be able to do it so lets find another T-Rex and let you practices a little tonight and if you get it tomorrow I can teach you how to use a technique of mine know as Ultimate Cannon Fire.” Artemis said as he set of to find another T-Rex with Fayt right behind him. After a few minutes they finally found another one and Fayt was ready to try and use the new technique Artemis taught him. As the T-Rex charged Fayt it opened its mouth to show of its razor shape teeth, although this didn’t bother Fayt because he was to busy gathering his power and trying to harness it around his sword. It looked to Artemis that he was going to have to save Fayt if he didn’t hurry up and us the attack because the beast was getting closer by the second and Fayt had just barely solidified the energy around his sword then like Artemis he moved to fast to track except when he stopped moving behind the T-Rex and released the energy around his sword thousands upon thousands of lightning bolt were created that pierced straight threw the creature instead of Artemis’ sword and throwing stars that had only embedded themselves in there targets.

“Wow you are defiantly got the hang of it just try to use solid objects they can be removed and used again.” Artemis said walking over to Fayt.

“Okay, now I’m going to bed.” And with that said Fayt fainted right there in the training area and was asleep in seconds.

“God and to think you’ve grown nearly as strong as me yet you still fainted after using that attack. At least you did beater than me when I first tried to do it, I nearly destroyed half of my masters castle the first time I tried and use that attack even if it was over a hundred years ago.” Artemis said as he threw Fayt over his shoulder and walked back to the dorm they were staying in when he ran into Squall coming out of there dorm.

“I was looking for you two.” Squall said walking over to Artemis.

“What happened to him?” He asked once he was standing in front of Artemis.

“O well he just kind I’ve over did it in the training area.” Artemis said and it was close enough to the truth for Squall.

“Right anyway I wanted to tell you that a few old friends will be here for the battle tomorrow so we can even things out.”

“Really who many people are we talking about?”
“Three to be exact. There is an old friend of mine named Seifer and two of his friends Raijin and Fujin.”

“So how about we just make it a one on one tournament?”

“Actually that isn’t a bad idea there will be enough of use so the there can be eight matches whichever side wins the most matches is the winner.” And with that decided they headed there separate way. Artemis put Fayt in his room before going to his room where he fell asleep the moment his head hit his pillow. The next day Sophia was the first one up so she decided that she would go get something to eat then she was going to wake the others up. A little while after she started to eat her breakfast she was joined by Selphie and Rinoa, then as they sat there and talked for about ten minutes before Maria and Mirage joined them for breakfast then finally Albel joined them although he wasn’t that much of a morning person and even less of a people person whenever someone asked him something he would just growl at them that is until Nel came then he stopped growling and just started snorting at them when they asked him something. After everyone had eaten Nel and Rinoa went to wake up the last of there sleeping friends. Rinoa went and woke up Irvine, Quistis, and Zell. While Nel went and woke up Fayt, Peppita, and Artemis. After everyone was awake they all headed out side while Artemis filled them in on how they had switched from a free for all battle to a tournament.

“Perfect so we each get on shot to fight.” Albel said sarcastically, he really wanted the chance to beat the every loving bay lights out of a few of Squalls’ friends, but that wasn’t going to happen now. They soon found were they were suppose to hold the tournament because there was a huge square ring that had to be at least 70 feet long and 70 feet wide so yes it was a perfect square.

“Okay who wants to fight first?” Squall asked stepping into the ring.

“O I got this fight covered guys’, so just sit back and enjoy the show.” Fayt said as he stepped into the ring with squall.

“So you want to fight me do you?” Squall said as he pulled out his gunblade.

“Ah the famous Lion Heart gunblade.” Fayt said as he unsheathed his sword and charged Squall. Seeing the attack coming so Squall countered by bringing his gunblade up stopping Fayts’ blade short of its target. Fayt jumped back and tried again this time launching a fire ball at him instead of attacking with his sword only to see Squall disperse the flames with his sword before charging Fayt. This time Fayt was caught of guard and managed to block Squalls’ attack with one of his own causing them to be pushing against each others swords.

“Hey you’re pretty strong.” Squall said as he beginning to be pushed back by Fayt, who was using everything he had to try and throw Squall off balance.

“Well you’re not so bad yourself.” Fayt said as Squall jumped away from him. As the fight continued Squall and Fayt soon realized that they were equally matched.

“I think it’s time to put all our cards on the table.” Fayt said as he started to freeze his sword turning it into a deadly ice saber.

“That’s a neat trick you got there.” Squall said as charged at Fayt then jumped into the air.

“What do you think you’re going to do to me when your way up there and I’m on the ground.” Came Fayts’ reply as he smirked up at Squall.

“This is what I can do to you.” He shot back as he spun himself in a circle and sent a shockwave at Fayt, who used his sword to try and block it only to have the ice around his sword shatter and send him flying to the other end of the arena, were he cam into contact with a barrier.

“Why is this here?” He said as he got up touching the barrier.

“So that nobody tries anything funny and run away and also so that no one outside the right can interfere.” Came Squalls response as he charged Fayt again. This time it was Fayt whoever who jumped into the air above Squall. Once in the air a giant ball of pure energy formed over his head and just kept getting bigger until finally it exploded thousands of energy needles straight at Squall who tried to doge as many of them as he could but many of them still it him cutting his arms, legs, and torso making him yell out in pain. After Fayts attack finally ran out of power and died.

“That was defiantly an attack to watch out for.” Squall said as Fayt landed a little ways away and this time turned his blade into a flame saber and charging at Squall again.

“New spin on an old trick” He said as he steadied himself for the incoming hit. As Fayt charged Squall he did the unexpected by stabbing his sword into the ground.

“What are you planning to do?” Squall shouted charging Fayt but when he got closer he say what Fayt was planning to do.

“This is…a summoning.” He said as he came to a complete stop looking at the flaming symbol that had been burned into the arena floor.

“Now come forth Ifrit.” Fayt said as he called forth the fire creature from the realm in which it dwelled.

“How can you do that Zell has Ifrit junction to him.”

Squall said as he jumped back when a fire ball hit the ground right were he was. The creature that was summoned wasn’t the Ifrit Zell was using it was wilder and defiantly looked deferent.

“What is that thing?” Squall asked as he created an ice block over the things head then dropping it on him.

“I think that got my point across, be gone Ifrit.” Fayt said as he destroyed the seal that he used to summon Ifrit causing him to disappear.

“Why did you do that?” Squall asked as he charged Fayt.

“That’s simple; it wouldn’t be any fun if he beat you instead of me!” Fayt shouted as he charged to meet forward to meet Squalls attack only to have Squall do what he did and turn his sword into a flaming saber. When there attacks meet it was Squall who came out on top as he slid his saber around Fayts sword cut him across his left arm making him cry out in pain. After that little show of skill Fayt decided to put him special skill to use.

“You saw my flaming saber and my ice saber now feel the power of my divine blade.” Fayt said as he raised his sword above his head were a figure clad in white with light pooling out around it touched Fayts’ sword turning it into a sword of pure energy that was so bright to begin with it caused everyone except Nel to look away, although Nel was use to seeing this attack and knew that nothing could stop it.

“What was that light?” Squall asked looking from Fayt to his sword that was shining with a light that could only be described as divine. He never got an answer because Fayt charged at him so he did the same planning to use his last trick again. It didn’t work. Fayts’ sword had been powered up so much and radiated with so much power the blade knocked Squalls sword away leaving him open to Fayts attack which cut him from his left arm across his torso and ended after cutting his right arm. This was the final stray for Squall, so he yelled out in both pain and anger as he got ready for one final attack because that was all that he had left in him after the beating he had taken form Fayts earlier attack that had implanted a lot of needles in him that were starting to take there toll on him from the blood loss that they had caused him. So Squall charged Fayt only this time he knocked Fayt up into the air were he jumped after him slashing away at him cutting him on his torso, arms, and legs so fast that the only thing Fayt could do was try and block as many of them as he could while trying not to scream out from the pain he was feeling when Squall dropped back down to the ground before he lunged at Fayt for the final strike in his flurry only to have Fayt put his blade up just in time to avoid being cut in half attack and slip under Squalls sword.

“You should be proud. You’re the only living thing to dodge that attack.” Squall said as he fell to the ground completely exhausted.

“And here I was thinking that you were going to lose the first match.” Albel said sarcastically as Fayt helped Zell carry Squall out of the arena.

“Really then lets see what you have learned from owner little adventures.” Artemis said before Fayt could throw an insult at Albel.

“Fine dragon boy.” He said as he walked into the arena were he saw that his opponent was to be Raijin.

“You have got to be joking. Do you all actual expect me to fight this clown.” Albel shouted to the others on Squalls side of the arena.

“Scared of me, are you. You know.” Raijin said causing Seifer to put his hand over his face as if to say why me.

“Just get this fight over with Albel I want my shot at one of them.” Cliff shouted at him. And with that the battle started with Raijin charging Albel and basing him in the back of the head with his staff weapon. Although Albel countered by cutting Raijins’ stomach with his claw making him jump back away from him; this also played into Albels attack as he shot a wide spread blast of green energy that strangely resembled a hand straight at Raijin who didn’t have enough time to dodge it so he was hit head on by the attack that knocked him back at least thirty feet to the other side of the arena since they had started the fight in the middle of the arena there was now cracked tiles that lead all the way to were Raijin now lay on the ground.

“I think I knocked him out.” Albel said as he walked over to Raijin like a predator would to his fallen pray. Then when he was standing over Raijin, he knocked Albel off his feat as he jumped up to his and went to hit Albel right in the head when he suddenly felt a sword press against his chest. When he looked down he saw that Albel had drawn his sword finally and now had it pointed start at Raijins’ heart.

“And that’s the match.” Albel said as Raijin dropped his weapon in surrender.

“What was that Raijin? I thought that you were suppose to be as strong as Seifer.” Zell shouted at him as he walked out of the arena.

“Okay which one of you wants to fight me?” Cliff said as he walked to the middle of the arena.

“O your mine you loud mouth.” Zell said as he jumped into the arena and charged Cliff starting this fight rather quickly by throwing series of quick secession punches then trying to hit Cliff a heel drop only to have most of his punches block and miss him with the hell drop. Cliff being the idiot he was decided to put as much strength as he could be hind his punches as he threw them at Zell who could easily dodge them all with enough breathing room to throw a few punches of his own in-between Cliffs punches. After finally realizing that he was starting to lose this match he supper charged his gauntlets with fire and started to speed his attacks up by slowing his punches down enough to actually hit Zell burning off part of his shirt and burning his flesh a little bit. After this Zell stopped holding back and was after Cliff with a speed that was very impressive. After landing four more hits and receiving only one hit which was the fire hit Cliff had landed Zell still had the upper hand and Cliff was getting tired from throwing so many punches with as much force as he possible could Zell moved into the offensive and started to really show Cliff how it was done as he continually pounded him, landing tones of hits and if he wasn’t mistaken he had heard a couple of things break from some of his punches including his left arm.

“Had enough old timer.” Zell taunted hopping away from Cliff.

“Old timer hub, well this old timer just got his second wind.” Cliff said as he realigned his broken arm and charged Zell. This time Zell decided to try and counter Cliff only to have Cliff jump behind him and slammed his fist in Zells ribcage then kicked him in the side of the head causing Zell to fall over from the force of the attack.

“Not bad old timer.” And with that it was Zells move and he took it. He charged Cliff before jumping into the air and diving at Cliff, who jumped out of the way just as Zell hit the ground with enough force behind his attack to shatter the ground around him. As Zell was recovering from the attack and getting out of the hole he made Cliff attacked super charging his fist with electricity as he went and landed a punch right in the small of Zells back. The attack itself didn’t cause much damage but the shock that he received was enough to kill a normal person but Zell was no normal guy.

“Okay stay away from the shocking fist of doom attack.” Zell mumbled as he regained his composure while dodging Cliffs electrical punches that left the air crackeling behind him. As Cliff continued to throw punch after punch at Zell he would switch for throwing electrical punches to fire, ice, are earth style punches. Finally after using so much of his energy Cliffs punches returned to normal but he didn’t miss a beat as he started to threw his punches with more speed only to have Zell dodge them all perfectly just as before. Although Cliff had the appearance of a person doing fine everybody knew he was bordering on unconsciousness and it wasn’t long before he started to notice it himself when his vision started to gain black spots that slowly started to eat away at his vision.

“God how could I lose to this guy.” Was the last thing Cliff said before his body fell to the floor and he fainted for exhaustion.

“God if you were going to faint why didn’t you just do it sooner rather than making me dance around like that?” Zell said as he dragged Cliff out of the ring.

“What a disappointment. He was suppose to be stronger than most people.” Maria said as she was next to jump into the arena with her pistol drawn and ready to go, as it turned out it was Irvine who faced her in the forth match.

“Well this should be an interesting match if I do say so myself. Lets make a deal if I win I get a date with you and if you win you can ask one thing of me, deal?” Irvine asked trying to be his normal flirting self.

“Alright you got a deal.” She said before she jumped to the other end of the arena and squeezed off four shots at Irvine, who bobbed threw the bullets and countered with his speed ammo and firing off twelve shots and three shots of his demolition ammo. Maria tried but she couldn’t hope to dodge all of the shoot as she got hit her arms and legs by some of the last few speed shot and dodged two of the three demolition shot before she was hit in the chest by the final shot. The force from the demolition shot was deadly and sent her spinning into the air until she came down hard on her side and shattering a couple of tiles in the process.

“Damn it that hurt!” She shouted as she fired her eternal blast attack which sent a giant beam of energy at Irvine. The beam was a giant blast that didn’t break, Irvine didn’t have time to dodge the attack even though he tried it clipped his right side and sent him spinning to the side of the arena. As he stood up it was clear that his right arm was going to be useless for the rest of the fight seeing as how it was hanging limp at his side and it was torn up pretty badly.

“That was just a little over kill, don’t you think. God if that had hit me dead on I’d be ether dead or close to it.” He said as he fired three shot off of pulse ammo before switching and firing seven shots of shotgun ammo. Maria was fast but not fast enough she dodged all of the pulse ammo five of the shotgun shots hit her. When she hit the ground she knew that she had to finish the match quickly because she had internal injures and there was blood getting into her lungs causing her pain and she had a couple of broken ribs so it hurt just to breath and move. As she slowly stood up Irvine say the blood that was trickling out of the corner of mouth and cringed at the sight; he hated to she an injured woman but this wasn‘t the time to feel sorry for her she was his enemy for now and he had to remember that fact. When she was finally standing she used one arm to hold her damaged ribs and stomach while she tried to shoot Irvine. Her gun had a kick to it and she knew it so every time she fired a shoot she let go of the gun so that it spun around her finger instead of kicking back. Irvine finally had enough when a couple of her shoots actually hit him so he jumped into the air and dived straight at Maria but as he dogged he fired six shoots of dark ammo, and though it was like his normal ammo every shot he landed gave her some type status effect; the first shot blinded her, the second poisoned her, the third paralyzed her, while the fourth and final shot confused her and made her dizzy. The pain from the shots and effect she had just received were more than enough to drop her and they did as so as Irvine final shot hit her he landed behind her and she fell to the ground exhausted and beaten. That was the end to the fourth match and it was now tied two wins to each side. The fifth match was basically a half way mark since Fayt, Albel, Cliff, and Maria had already fought which left Artemis, Sophia, Mirage, and Peppita left to fight.

“Alright I think it’s my turn to have a little fun.” Artemis said as he step up into the ring.

“I want this guy.” Seifer said walking into the ring.

“Caution.” Fujin said as Seifer walked into the arena.

“You now me I’m never cautious.” He said without looking back.

“So your weapon of choice is a gun blade to I take it.” Artemis said as he materialized a Katana in his hands and dropped down into a fighting stance.

“That’s right, and you think you can beat me in a sword fight?” Was Seifers response as he too drew his sword.

“Well we’ll just have to see if I can or not won’t we.” And with that the two charged each other and locked swords to gauge the others strength.

“Well your defiantly stronger than you look.” Artemis said as pushed Seifer back.

“The same can be said for you.” Came Seifers reply as he slid past Artemis, cutting him on the arm as he went. Artemis’ hand shot for the open wound out of instinct and he lost sight of Seifer as he examined the wound making a mistake that would cost him as Seifer used a fire spell on him before he cut Artemis across his burned back causing him to fall to the ground in pain.

“Good, your much better than I thought you would be.” Artemis said as he stood up and face Seifer again only now the cut on his arm wasn’t there anymore.

“What happened to the wound on your arm?” Seifer said pointing the tip of his sword at Artemis’ arm.

“Well I guess I never was any good at pretend so let me perfectly honest the damage you think you inflicted on me your didn’t. In actuality you haven’t even pierced my skin but I wanted you to fell better when you lost so I thought I could make it look like I was actually trying when I was just really taking it easy but I see now that that won’t work so I guess it’s time to get serious.” And with that Artemis jumped high into the air before he was incased in a ball a light. Suddenly the ball exploded, sending a shockwave across the arena pushing Seifer all the way to the other end of the arena as Artemis slowly floated back down to the ground. The moment his feet touched the ground he shot forward faster than anyone could see and slammed his fist deep into Seifers gut and smashing his back against the arena wall.

“How…the hell…did you…you get so…fast.” Seifer asked before he went limp against Artemis’ fist.

“Simple, the sphere of light was actually an attack. What it does is slow time down around me for a brief period of time but it only works if the is clean air and direct sunlight.” He said as he threw Seifer at his teem mates who just watched as he hit the ground beside him without trying to help him.

“I’m going next.” Nel said as she walked into the ring.

“Nel be careful.” Fayt said as Nel passed him; she continued to walk but gave Fayt a nod to show she heard him.

“Me.” Fujin said as she walked into the arena and pulled out her blade weapon. Once the were both face to face they nodded to each other the jumped back to different corners of the arena then charged at each other. As the charged each other Nel moved one of her blades into a defense position while she moved her other blade to the side with the blade pointed towards the ground. When the two hit they locked weapons, Nels’ two blades against Fujins’ one. The winner of there struggle would be the winner of the match and they both new it. As soon as one of them ran out of strength the other would offset them and win the match in one swift motion. It wasn’t long and Fujin looked to have the advantage until Nel pulled a fast one and leaned back before pushing forward with everything she had and knocking Fujin off balance before she drop kicked her face into the arena floor where she lay unconscious.

“Damn Nel I think you over did it just a little.” Fayt said as Nel walked out of the arena.

“Like I say only death awaits the over confident.” She said before smiling at him and giving him a slight laugh.

“Oh go get a room if you want to get too friendly.” Albel said turning away from.

“Hey losers, we beat you four times and there are only two matches left so even if you do manage to win those matches you still would have lost the four times and only won three. So catch this Squall.” Artemis said as he threw one of the transport medallions at Squall. The moment Squall touched the medallion the familiar white light engulfed him and like before when it faded away Squall was gone, only this time Artemis and his group all so made a speedy getaway since they didn’t want to be attacked by the angry looking people they had just beaten. By the time Seifer and the others realized Fayt and his group were gone they had reached the transporter.

“So we only have one more person to catch, right.” Cliff said from the back of the group.

“No we have a creature to catch now.” Artemis said before he stepped into the with Peppita right behind him leaving the others to stare at the transporter expecting to get an explanation. Fayt was the first to regain his senses and stepped threw the transporter with the others right behind him.

Authors notes: I know it was longer than the other and there were more fights in this on but I think this will end up being the best chapter or at least have the best fight scenes.
