She had been betrayed by her own kind. Tortured and abused at home. Her only salvation, her sanctuary was the past...well used to be the past. She kept a secret from the rest since the day she fell down the well. Letting her walls down she saw what the world, her world could be. Now the man she loved has been with another behind her back. (Chapter 4: first meeting)

(Last time)

Sesshoumaru could not believe his ears. Had it not been for his youkai hearing he would have missed everything. Things were about to become very interesting. If he played his cards right not only would, he has the Tetsusaiga, but also a strong mate. With those thoughts in mind, the taiyoukai of the west retreated to his domain.

He had some plotting to do.

The western lord sat up in his dark, yet elegantly decorated library. It matched him as a person. His thoughts were fully pointed on the miko. How was he to get her off by herself? How was he to get her away from the damn half-breed mutt with out him getting suspicious?

A rare smile came to the demon lords’ lips as he looked at the shard between his fingers. Right now, he was thanking the little human girl rin for finding this for him.

He held the jewel shard up in the air. The moonlight from the balcony window behind his desk shined threw it making the jewel glitter patterns on the walls.

It was quiet simple how he was going to get her away from her group and grasp the miko's attention. Quiet simple indeed.

'Let the games begin ' was his thought as he strolled out of his library.

(Morning with the group)

The sun was coming over the horizon sending rays of its light into the little village of edo. The small group of shard hunters had awoken and began their day. Kaede was already up making a stew of some sorts. Kagome, shippo and naruto were whispering to each other while sango sat in her sleeping area with kilala in her lap rubbing the little feline. In the lighted corner of the hut miroku sat there in a medative state. Debating with his mind if he should tell the rest what he saw. In the other corner sat inuyasha in the dark wearing a scowl he thought no one could see.

'Soon you'll known never to disrespect me ' he thought hotly

"Shippo, naruto we need to talk" kagome said eyeing shippo. They both nodded their heads knowing that it had to be important for her to want to leave. They stood up an started walking to the door, but an angered voice stopped them.

"Where do you think your going” inuyasha growled out

"To shoe naruto around, good day” kagome said icily, not even giving a backwards glance at the enraged hanyou her shippo and naruto left the hut.

They walked a good distance into the woods that lay near by before stopping to talk. the things that were running threw naruto's head were that of another world they were on or maybe he was dead an this was some second life, but he remembered everything from his former life as a lesson to be good or something crazy like that. What he was about to hear was going to make him think twice about what he was thinking. Coming to a stop in the clearing that held bone-eaters well kagome walked...well stalked her way over to one of the many trees in the clearing. Sitting down with a small ' thud ' kagome patted the dirt next to her. Taking the hint to come an sit down naruto and shippo walked over to her then sat down on either side of her.

"Now naruto there are things you need to know" kagome started off
" one this is not our time...nor is it mine, two we are fighting a great evil named naraku he is a hanyou much like yourself, three do not trust inuyasha" kagome said
"Also do not let your eyes fool you” shippo said
"Why should I listen to a squirt like you” naruto retorted
" go ahead shippo" kagome said, with that being stated shippo turned into his adult self, naruto just stared with his mouth doing the gapping fish dance
"Now no one can know about this side of me, I do not fight unless it’s a weak or lesser demon okay” shippo said
"The same for me, do not except me to fight because all I do is shot arrows, I don’t want attention brought to myself until the time is right” kagome said
"O...okay " naruto said seriously ten shined that trade mark smirk
"So what will I do” naruto asked
"If you want to help fight then you may fight, but I beg of you not to lose control again" kagome pleaded
"What happens is it that bad" shippo asked
"It’s worse than full demon inuyasha, naraku and a weak sesshoumaru put together...naruto you want to tell him?" kagome asked
" yeah...you see there are still some places hidden on islands that our villages of ninja's...one night a terrible demon struck an attacked the hidden leaf village of Konoha " naruto said pausing

Shippo could tell what ever this boy was about to say was big. What ever he had to tell, him about said demon must have evolved him for some reason. Shippo stared at the boy named naruto wondering what his story was and his motive with kagome. Too many damn questions with out answers. Questions that needed answers.

" you see one night long ago a very strong an enraged kyuubi raged war with the village, many fought an lost their life’s to do so, all hope was lost until yondaime fought the demon an won sealing away the evil demon inside a human body" naruto said
"let me guess, that happens to be you” shippo asked
"an bingo was his name o” naruto said sarcastically
"haha so explain why it’s a bad thing” shippo asked
" because... the whole village hates me, I had no family, I only had one person who cared about me an I couldn't even talk to him after a certain point in time, at one time I wanted to become the greatest ninja just to show them all that I should be shown some respect... something, but that was just a wasted dream, I now want to become the greatest gang leader known in Japan an for that to happen I need to become tougher an expect the unexpected...I need...guidance " naruto finally said
"To become Hokage is my dream!" naruto said
" naruto you can become a great ninja even hokage an a gang leader, the most feared in Japan I’m not sure about, I could help you, after all I help run a gang an I’m a master illusionist " shippo said proudly
"you can teach me about different illusions an weapons” naruto said with much excitement
"yeah but I have to know what you already know " shippo said
"well I know a few jutsu's, one being Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, but I can't control the charka in kybui or focus that well to do more jutsu's " naruto said
"that is no problem, I can help fix that" shippo said
" how, at the academy my teachers told me there was nothing they could do, well iruke tried to teach me how, but it was cut short because one of the other teachers found out an he was never to see me again" naruto said hanging his head low

"hai” naruto said
"you’ve let them win the battle naruto, but after I’m done training you I want you to go back to the village an show them who won the war alright” shippo said
"alright!" naruto said jumping up
" okay, okay if you two are done I think we should get back to the village, oh an shippo change back an one of the first things you should teach naruto is how to keep control of his charka and how to stay focus" kagome said
"no shit what did you think I was going to teach him, how to dance” shippo said sarcastically
"shut up an I meant...mental you know talk in ones head to another " kagome said walking, there was a flash of light then shippo was a kit again
"yeah, yeah I will try, training you will be tough, I mean the getting caught part” shippo said
"we’ll find a way, after all I will be the greatest ninja alive I have to know how to be stealthy...which I already am" naruto said while pretending to sneak around a invisible wall
"you know what I like you kid” shippo said
"happy for that” naruto said
"come on lets get back to the hut " kagome said
"hey kagome I know there is much more to know about his like how you got here" naruto said
"I’ll explain later” kagome said as they walked out of the woods back into the rice field that led to the hut

(in the hut)

"hey guys where did inuyasha go” kagome asked as she walked back into the hut
"oh thank god your back, I thought he left to go look for you, I bet he went back to his slut" sango said
"nah, he couldn't hurt me even if he tried" kagome said as she sat down in front of the fire while naruto and shippo sat in the corner of the hut whispering quietly
"I see there friends " sango said
"yep” kagome said back
"is he coming back soon" miroku asked
"I don’t know...why?" kagome asked
"well I need to tell you all something” miroku said, for a monk he was acting really nervous
"what is it miroku " sango asked
"last night...I’m not sure what it was, a vision or a dream...all I know is that in the...lets call it a vision that inuyasha was sealed into a cave an being kept there by two people a man and a woman, another thing was that inuyasha was human and outside the cave were fearies an pixy... if my vision is true then the inuyasha here is nothing more than a fake illusion " miroku said
"maybe but if it was an illusion I would have been able to see right threw it " naruto said
"how...exactly what are you " sango asked
"I’m Naruto Uzumaki of the hidden leaf village of Konoha I’m a Genin ranking ninja an will become the hokage you better believe it " naruto said jumping for the un-feared attention that sango was giving him
"your a...your a ninja " sango asked taken back
"yeah why?" naruto asked
"well you an sango shall get along, sango is a demon exterminator” miroku said
"gah, stay away from me " naruto yelled while jumping behind kagome
"I only kill those who have done wrong” sango said with a smile
"tell us about your... well hello inuyasha” sango sneered
"everyone gets up, were leaving for the central lands” inuyasha said not even looking at them then walked out the hut
"that’s not an illusion that’s the real inuyasha but something is not quiet right with him he seems…curpted in some way" naruto said
"in a way like being controlled” miroku asked
"I’m not sure I’m...what the fuck! “naruto yelled
"what?" miroku asked?
"naruto wait who is it?" kagome yelled running after him
"I’m going to see, stay here" shippo said running after the two forms that were running towards the well, once out of sight changing into his adult form

(at the well)

"haha so this is where the brat came...well saskue, sakura what will you do when you see him" a voice sneered
"it doesn't matter” saskue said
"shut up punk,” the man yelled kicking him in the side
"time he gets here kills them,” the man said to a woman sitting in a tree
"will do,” she whispered

"I don’t think that will happen” kagome yelled as she jumped down from a tree at the end of the clearing, slowly walking to the well
"make another move girly an this will be going threw his legs," the man said holding up five hari's in-between his fingers
"now if you do that then I would have to kill you,” kagome said as she kept walking towards them
"bitch” the man yelled throwing the hari's at saskue, in a blink of an eyes saskue and sakura found them looking at the woman holding the hari's in her hand
"now I’m going have to kill you,” kagome said, in another blink she stood behind the man gun to his head
"any last words” kagome asked
" yeah, temari " the man yelled, all of a sudden there was a large guest of wind coming from the tree then a woman with short blond hair held in two sets of pigtails jumped down.
"leave him alone,” the woman said
"who are you” kagome asked
" temari and garra of the hidden sand village “ the woman named temari said
" an that’s where you’re going back to, " the tree said
" that the fuck " garra yelled
" it’s an illusion jutsu " temari yelled
" an the winner is " the tree said before turning into shippo
" bout time " kagome snapped
" been here " shippo said
" where is he " kagome asked
" right here " a voice yelled at the end of the clearing
" naruto " kagome yelled
" yeah" naruto yelled back
" get saskue and sakura out of here " kagome said
" keh " naruto said as he ran to his friends
" I don’t think so " temari yelled as she sent a large guest of wind at naruto by her fan
" not so fast, storm of the forgotten " kagome yelled taking out the chop sticks in her hair, as the wind moved towards naruto a larger guest of wind diverted the attack sending the wind at temari and garra's direction
" kagome, get down " shippo yelled covering the kids with his body, kagome jumped down but temari and garra got the hit with the force of the wind sending them down the well an back into the future.

after a few moments, the wind died down to a gentle breeze. deciding it was safe to look they found themselves still alive in the clearing.

" well that was fun " kagome murmured as she got up then brushed herself off
" kagome seal the well " shippo said
" right " kagome said, moving to the well she be on her knees said a few word then removed a piece of hair letting it fall into the well
" only my hair will awaken you well of time an space " kagome said then stood
" thank you, " a raspy voice said
" wha..what...whose there " kagome said
" it is I the well" the well spoke
" but. However, how " kagome asked
" because you believed an prayed upon me, I will be happy to make sure no one comes threw or goes threw the portal," the well said
" umm thank you " kagome said as she stood started walking...looked back then went to the others
" come on we have to get back before inuyasha starts bitching " kagome said
" hey ma'am thanks you for saving us " sakura said smiling
" it was nothing...yur names " kagome asked looking over her shoulder, her shades coming down a little to see the color of her eyes
" umm I’m sakura an that is saskue" sakura said
" hello to you both, it looks like your going to be stuck with me unless you want to fend for your selves" kagome said
" thank you, we will take you up on your offer to adventure around with you " saskue said
' what’s her story, those eyes so...haunting' he thought

" okay, another thing there are 3 others in my group but I’m not the leader...actually they don’t even know I can fight so when they ask what happen just say that...naruto killed them or I shot an arrow sending them down the well, something along those lines" kagome said
" why do you hide yourself " saskue asked
" because I have an trader in my group, inuyasha he is a hanyou half dog demon half human, he has silver hair an golden eyes, I don’t want him to know how strong I am yet" kagome said
' there is more to it than that though ' saskue thought eyeing her over
" oh an don’t tell the others what I look like " shippo said an in a flash he was a kit again
" why don’t they know anything about you two " sakura asked
" like she said, I’m here to protect her but I’m undercover, she's here to fight an evil that can take over this world so there is no future, thus meaning non of us will be alive " shippo said
" oh " sakura said, she looked over at shippo an her eyes glazed over, shippo looked over his shoulder at her with blank eyes
" uh..what " shippo asked
" so..soo cute " sakura yelled trying to catch the little shippo but was failing seeing as he kept reappearing all over the place
" stay still " sakura cried, saskue just rolled his eyes along with kagome an naruto
" come on I can tell you everything you need to know on the walk. Just don’t tell anyone else anything I tell you not to say" kagome said, sakura took a moment to say yeah while saskue nodded once.
" well it happen 53 years ago from this point in time...." kagome began

( at the hut )

" an that’s what has happen an how far along we are, also everything you need to know " kagome finished with a small smile at the surprised face of sakura and the surprised eyes of saskue
" uh...okay " sakura said
" now that you know that all you need to do is get some clothing and train, I’m sure you can defend yourselves " kagome said as she walked into the hut
" bout time you got back bitch " inuyasha sneered
" what ever inuyasha...oh wait, sit boy" kagome yelled at the top of her lungs ' bam ' was the sound of inuyasha crashing into the floor. they could not help themselves naruto, sakura and even saskue laughed at the site.
" oh an one more thing the necklace around his throat is what I call his sit necklace, all I have to say it sit an he sits down, but only I can control the sit necklace " kagome said each sit was followed by a loud crash an some cursing.
" come now inuyasha you said we were traveling to the central lands, we have to get going it'll take at least a week to get there " kagome said as she picked up her back pack an flung it over her shoulder.
" keh " was all he said once he stood up
" come on you stick besides us an you guys wont get hurt...to much " kagome said with a laugh as they walked down the trail that lead out of the village

( that night )

the day had gone about uneventful except for the occasional sit. other than that, it was boring. sakura and saskue had explained what had happen to them.

" we were sent on a simple spying mission in Japan, but we didn't know that we were set up by the nijua gang " sakura said
" once we were there at the warehouse we were poisoned then tied up, not knowing what was going on be decided to play it cool an not fight" saskue said
" we were taken to a shrine with dead people in the house then down the well " sakura said finishing it, all eyes landed on kagome
" kagome...is the rest of your family dead?" miroku asked
" they...yes " kagome said
" who would kill them" sango asked
" a person who was not in the family or related " kagome said
" that could be anyone" miroku said
" no...that would be me " kagome said, everyone gasped
" ka..kagome why did you kill your family" sango asked her eyes an skin deathly pale all of a sudden
"I had many reasons...besides they weren't my birth parents and they weren't that good of a parent, hell they were worse than the parents of this day" kagome said standing up
"I thought your guns looked familiar" saskue muttered
"What was that” kagome asked
" nothing I figured they had to have trusted who ever had shot them, the whole pillow over the heads, there eyes were fearsome, looked as if you tortured them before you killed them " saskue said, kagome chuckled, her glasses once again falling a little
"Your a smart kid, I like that " kagome said standing up
"Where you going wench" inuyasha yelled
"Where does it look like the fuckin forest" kagome yelled over her shoulder an once again she was gone from sight
"Naruto what has happen to her” miroku asked
"Nothing, this is how she was when she was in the gang, I see no difference " naruto said, all was silent, one question an one question alone stood on their heads

As kagome walked threw the forest playing over the scene at the camp in her head she felt a pull.

'A jewel shard, I need to get it ' kagome thought as she took off into a full force run.

Only into a minute of her run, she came to a clearing where the jewel shard was. What she did not except to see was the tai-youkai of the west sitting up in the tree with the jewel shards running between his fingers looking deeply into her eyes.

"Sesshoumaru what are you doing here with that " kagome asked walking more into the clearing
"Call you out" sesshoumaru simply said
"What do you want” kagome asked
"Let’s talk”
"Bout”
"You’re secret”
"What secret”
"Don’t play dump, I know about you past”
"How”
"Heard it”
"When”
"You an the fox demon”
"Why”
"I’m interested”
"Because”
"The threat I see in you, your power wequal to mine”
"Is that all”

"What”
"Here” sesshoumaru said then threw the jewel shard to kagome
"Thanks...is that all”
"No, walk into the forest every night I will find you” sesshoumaru said
"Why”
"To know more about you,” sesshoumaru said a he was gone.
"Fine” kagome said to the wind, but she was pretty sure he had heard her.

Walking back into camp, she wore a smile. She noticed that inuyasha was missing her smile grew. She did not care about him anymore. It was his life but he would die soon. All she had to do was get sesshoumaru on her side, which she knew would be easy.

'Easy as sucking a lolly pop " kagome thought as she feels to sleep.

Day one of the weeklong journeys to the central lands went by a day two was coming. What would happen in the short time?

"Why...why me not kikyou or someone else" kagome asked
"Because the only one who is strong enough to take the magic an the only one with a pure heart with a pure purpose" ukemachi said with a smile
