Chapter One
What's wrong, what's wrong now?
Too many, too many problems.
Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home.
It's where she lies, broken inside.
With no place to go, no place to go so try her eyes.
Broken inside.
~Avril Lavigne : Nobody's Home
A man sighed as he tilted his face towards the sun, enjoying the cool breeze that ruffled his messy hairdo.
His single visible eye was curved into a smile, the only hint of emotion clearly visible.
His posture wasn't straight and he walked leisurely like he was taking a stroll in the park.
The leaves blew in the harsh wind and cast mysterious patterns on the man when another male, clothed similarily like the masked stranger ran up in irritaion.
“Kakashi-san,” the man scolded angrily, “You're supposed to be inspecting Konoha!”
The man named Kakashi shrugged, “Kuno-dono and I switched positions so I'm checking around for anything suspicous.”
The other man sighed and pulled out a clipboard and a sheet of paper, “Would it kill you to tell me before you actually switch?”
Kakashi smiled again, his lazy blue eye curling up in a smile, “Yup! And besides, isn't Kyo-sama supposed to be checking positions? Did you switch with him Hita-kun?”
Hita sighed and nodded, a faint tinge of red appearing on his cheeks, “I guess you caught me red handed Kakashi-sempai!”
Kakashi shrugged and took the pen and paper Hita offered him.
Lazily, he signed his name in the third box and handed Hita the paper and pen.
Hita grinned and thanked him profusivly, “Arigatou, Arigatou, Arigatou!”
Kakashi smiled and waved at the young man who was new to the ANBU and then sighed.
He broke out into a run, skimming the branches of the towering trees and watching for any signs of civillization outside of Konoha.
Nothing. Until…he spotted something basking in the warm sun on a branch….And he crept up towards it.

Kagome felt ill as she fell.
Fallings into memories…
It had been 3 long years ever since she had stumbled upon the furry eared hanyou named Inuyasha. 3 long years ever since she had tripped (might I add very clumsily) into the well that served as her only way to Sengoku Judai (Fuedal Era).
3 long years ever since she shattered the jewel.
Now, if you havn't heard the fabled `legend' of the Shikon no Tama (Jewel of Four souls), than you would be staring at her like she was crazy.
I mean, what's so important about a stikin' jewel?
You can eventually buy another one.
But this isn't some regular ol' jewel that girls preen over and greedy, rich people have piles of.
This jewel was the key of destruction, the ultimate power, but most importantly, the keeper of four souls, both pure in and out.
The first soul was a magnificent ryuu(dragon), called Ryuu no Gin(Dragon on Silver).
It wasn't made of silver, or anything, but it was a youkai(demon) from the most powerful race of all.
The second soul was the saver of shinobi.
Or more familiarly, the fourth hokage, who was killed saving the whole shinobi dimension.
The third soul was the miko who created this jewel, Midoriko.
And last but not least, Hoshi no Hikari to Kuragari (star of light and dark).
Kagome as well as her friends, Sango the Tajiya (youkai(demon) slayer), Miroku the perverted monk, Kirara, Sango's trustworthy cat and Shippou, Kagome's adopted son defeated Naraku, but the only one who survived…was Kagome.
If you're wondering where Inuyasha was, he was with Kikyou, confessing his `undying love' to her. Kagome had changed a lot over the years.
She was expertly trained in her miko powers and in more than 32 different styles of martial arts, thievery, and weapon weilding.
She wore an old katana (sword) at her hip.
It wasn't much, but they purchased it for a low price of 10 dollars and it was sturdy, but she wished to have a better weapon, just in case.
Her outfit consisted of a short sleeved black dress that stopped at her knees with slits at the side going all the way up to her butt, a dark blue sash in the middle that held some weapons, crimson shorts under her dress, fingerless black gloves that went all the way to her elbow and a black choker around her neck.
She had a ton of outfits, but this was the one she wore this particular day.
A pouch with all of her outfits that had been minimized with her miko powers was threaded onto her sash and her hair was in a messy bun with a baseball cap covering it.
She buried her friends and then went to find our not so beloved hanyou (half demon) which was mating with the claypot.
Flashback
Kagome sighed after saying one last prayer to her friend's graves and stood up.
Her eyes were red and puffy from crying and she wiped some stray tears away.
Slowly, she brought her hand up to her neck, where the full Shikon no tama hung.
She couldn't understand how such an innocent jewel could cause the mass destruction of the world, considering those pure souls that resided in it behind it's pinkish walls.
She couldn't think of a wish, or a pure one for that.
But she didn't want to guard it anymore.
But she had too. I
t just hurt too much to see your friends die from one person…Naraku.
All of a sudden, the pinkish jewel began to rise and snapped away from the chain that held it to Kagome.
Kagome's eyes widened and the jewel thrust itself into her heart, into her soul.
Her eyes rolled back, and she fell into unconsiousness.
End flashback
Dream state
She appeared into a cave, with four doors carved into the walls.
She paused and timdly approached the first door, where she felt a magnificent power growing and growing behind there.
“Stop!” A cool, but demanding voice cried.
Kagome whirled around, already in a defencive stance, but all there was was a beautiful lady that looked ather.
Kagome's eyes widened when she realized….this was Midoriko!
She bowed quickly, but Midoriko commanded, “Do not bow.”
Midoriko's eyes softened as she watched the girl peer up.
“It's ok…I just need to give you some presents.”
Kagome's eyebrow went up, “Presents?” Midoriko nodded.
She handed her a long, cloth package.
She carefully unfolded the cloth and hung it around her shoulders like a haori.
Her eye's widened at the sight.
There were two swords and scabbards.
The hilt on both was a magnificently carved dragon, but one was silver while the other one was black.
The swords were fantastic!
They were sharper than the sharpest blade and the blacde was skinnier than a wire.
But shenoticed, one was a sakabato.
She slowly discarded her old sword and picked up the two swords.
They glowed, happy to be with their one and only owner.
Midoriko smiled. “This is your presents, from Ryuu not Gin. You can only touch these blades and you can also send purifying power to it.He also gives you the strength, speed and senses of a youkai.”
Kagome smiled, she could feel her senses getting sharperand the swords getting lighter.
“Arigatou, Ryuu no Gin” She bowed repectfully to nowhere.
Midoriko seemed to take a bunch of sparkles and she threw it on her. “Huh?”
Midoriko patted her on the head, “This is from the fourth hokage, and he gives you the knowleadge and power of a shinobi (ninja).”
Kagome also repeated her thanking and finally, Midoriko sighed.
“Myself and Hoshi no Hikari to Kuragarigive you our power, our strength, our guidance, us.”
Kagome's eyes widened as Midoriko lay a hand on her head and began chanting softly in an unknown language.
Then, a bright light filledthe cave and Midoriko was gone but there was someone that looked excatly like Kagome…but more mature.
“Hello Kagome-sama,” her look alike bowed.
“Who are you? And why are you calling me Kagome-sama? And where am I? Why do you look like me?”
Her mirror image chukled and smiled.
“One question at a time Kagome-sama.”
Kagome sighed and brushed her hair off of her shoulder.
“Ok…So Who are you?”
“I am Hoshi no Hikari to Kuragari.”
Kagomesighed, “I know that!”
Hoshi shrugged and sat on the floor, “You asked me a question…I gave an answer.”
“Fine…Where am I?”
“You are inside the shikon no tama.”
“And why do you look like me?”
“Because you have half of my soulin you. This is your soul…yet it is mine…You are not even near your full power. I am you and you are me…we are just separate. That is why you are here…We need to unite.”
Kagome gaped, “Right now?”
“Hai (yes)”
“Ready?”
Kagome gulped as Hoshi put a hand on her head and began mumbling…
A bright light filled the cave and then…Hoshi disappeared.
Kagome stood up.
She could remember…
Things…
Memories…
So many…
She knew all of her abilities and everything…
She conjured a mirror and stared at herself…
She looked like herself…
So…What had happened?
Kagome shrugged and then a blinding light filled the cave…and she was out.
End Dream state
Kagome yawned, and sighed.
Where was she?
She was in a forest…it looked vaguely familiar…
Then she remembered!
This must be thatShinobi dimension that the fourth Hokage was talking about!
She turned around and used her demon senses to find a village.
There was one maybe 50 miles away.
That would be a snap!
But first…She wanted to see how well she could fight.
Ten Hours Later
Kagome sighed and wiped the sweat off of her forehead.
Her techniques were amazing!
She sighed and yawned.
Forming a barrier, she climbed up a tree and fell asleep, dreaming of the night sky.
