* I have returned to bring you part 2 of the Adventures with the Samurai Girl! Last time Shinta was killed by Daito, one of the Elemental Ninja, and Naraku was defeated by an unknown foe. What do you think will happen now?

Inuyasha: You'll learn to put a disclaimer in without us having to remind you?

Miroku: I'm hoping Sesshomaru will learn that the Tensaiga won't bring Shinta back....WHY doesn't it work anyways!?!

*......Beats me...

Inuyasha: Thats great. The writer doesn't even have a clue!

*Maybe it has something to do with Yoko?

Miroku: Whatever happened to her?

Inuyahsa: She died.

Miroku: What about her sword?

*...I think Sesshomaru has it

Inuyahsa: Yeah. He made a freaky shrine on his wall for Shinta.

*....Didn't need to know that...Well on with the story!*

Part 2, Chapter 1: What's Next?

A silver haired demon walked down a somewhat deserted road. He was thinking about what would happen now that Naraku was defeated. His thoughts were interrupted as a black haired girl ran up to him. Her name flashed through his mind: Kagome. Sango, Miroku and Shippo were with her.

'Inuyasha, is something wrong?'

'No...its just that....the one that defeated Naraku...how do we know he won't come after us?'

Kagome didn't answer. That same question had gone through her mind over and over again. It had been over a month since Naraku had been destroyed and everyone, including Sesshomaru, were on edge. This new foe could strike at any moment, probably destroying them easily.

Miroku thought for a moment.

'Maybe they're on our side.'

'Doubtful.'

'What? Why?'

'When was the last time someone that strong was on our side?'

'.....never.'

'There you go.'

'Maybe he's different. He's probably like Sesshomaru.'

'Then you agree. He's evil'

'Sesshomaru isn't evil, he just doesn't like you.'

'He's evil.'

'He's your brother. Brothers fight with each other.'

'Hey, whatever happened to Sesshomaru anyways?'

Sesshomaru had been walking alone for a while now. At his side he had the Tensaiga and the sword that had belonged to Shinta. He was very tired. He had trouble sleeping , and it was taking its toll on him. He kept seeing Shinta and hearing that strange voice that belonged to the one who had killed Naraku.

He suddenly saw himself slipping into darkness. He saw her....Shinta...pinned to the tree by the Elemental Ninja known as Daito. He saw the yellow eyed demon reaching out to kill him, with its teeth barred. Then he opened his eyes with a start.

Sesshomaru sat up, and looked around. He was in a fairly large room, bare except for the stacks of blankets and the two swords he carried with him. He got out of the bed, folding it up like the others were, and went outside.

An old woman with graying hair was throwing bread into a pond. She looked up as she heard Sesshomaru come out of the house.

'So you must be Sesshomaru. I'm glad you've kept the sword with you. I don't know what I would of done if he had gotten hold of it.'

'Who exactly are you?'

The old woman gave a faint smile.

'My name is Kali, I am the guardian of Shinta.'

'Shinta!?!'

'Yes. I saved her from death.'

'What do you mean?'

'I was the one who had the tree enclose her within its bark. She was then reborn and has stayed in my care since Naraku's defeat. But when she was reborn I had to block her memories of you and your brother. It would have torn her apart, for with the memories of you she would also remember the pain of her wounds.'

'So, you're saying she has no memory of me at all?'

'No, but I can restore those memories. And give her back the life she had.'

'But you said-'

'The pain? Don't worry, I will take on the pain. It will probably destroy me, so you must promise to keep her safe.'

'Alright. But what about Yoko?'

'Yoko, is no more. The demon disappeared when Shinta was reborn, so I don't know what has become of her. Hopefully she has reached the Afterlife in peace. Now, rest. I will restore her memories tomorrow.'

* Inuyasha: So is that why the Tensaiga didn't work?

*...I guess....

Miroku: You mean you don't know!?!

*I know why, but I'm not telling!

Inuyasha: Alright. Then maybe you can answer this: Is Shinta going to be a baby like that Hotaru girl in Sailor Moon?

Kagome: How do you know about Sailor Moon?

::Inuyahsa blushes::

*He watches it while we're on lunch break. I caught him a few times.

Miroku: .....O..k...
