Chapter 6:

****** Terra ******

The girls had the driver take them back to the palace. The disco wasn't for a few more hours yet. They had gotten home Terra had taken her dress to her room and hung it neatly in her wardrobe. They all met shortly after in the garden to have some tea. The chef had made some sweets for them to go along with their green tea.

“Ummm…these are soo good. Remind me to go to the kitchen and compliment the chef on his goodies.” Said Rachel munching happily on a cookie. “Yeah good idea, I'll come with you.” Agreed Terra taking a bit of her cup cake with sprinkles. “So. What are you guys doing before the disco?” asked Quarnessia. “I don't know. I'm gonna finish getting ready for the disco tonight. Gotta look my best. Wouldn't you say?” said Jing-Jing. “Yeah I have to agree, I'm doing the same, but of course I need to get in some training.” Said Kim. “I gotta go. I need to go see someone.” Said Rachel. “Where are you going?” Terra asked confused. “Rachel here has a boy.” Stated PaDee. “No, I just have a meeting. Confidential.” Rachel said while looking away. “Oh really? Then tell me why you're blushing?” said Kim slyly. “I AM NOT!” Rachel screamed while her face burned a deep crimson. They just all laughed at her. “Who is he Rach?” asked Terra. “No one, I'm late. See ya guys later.” “bye.” They said in unison. She ran off towards the palace, leaving the others behind. “Well I better get going as well.” Said Kim. “Why?” asked Jing. “Come on. Really now, do you think that I'll be ready in just two hours? Come on.” Kim asked. “Well at least you don't deny it any more. Now you know just how long it takes you.” Terra said taking a sip of her tea. Kim smirked at her evilly. “Thanks Terra.” “Any time.” They laughed. “Well you better get going, lord knows how long it'll take you if you don't leave this very minute.” Quarnessia said lightly. “Hey don't push it,” Said Kim, “Well see ya tonight, bye.” Kim said waving her hand. “Wait KIM!! I'll come with you.” Said Jing-Jing running after her. They both headed to Kim's room. “So, Terra what are you planning?” asked Quarnessia. “Nothing. I'll be going in soon and get finished.” “Well PaDee and I are going to my room to finish, wanna come?” Quarnessia offered. “No thanks. I'll meet up with you later.” “OK. We'll see you later.” Quarnessia and PaDee got up to leave. “See you soon.” Said PaDee turning back to say good bye. Terra was on her own in the tea house. She looked out the open shahori door and saw a path of stairs. The stairs were by a big lush tree and the path ended at the steps' end. Terra stood up and left the tea house. She walked over to the tree. She pasted some forget-me -nots and found her way over to the tree. When Terra came to the tree she felt a jolt in her gut. She walked down the steps. `this is were I felt that pull before.' Terra thought as she walked down. She headed to the forest just a head of her.

***** Flash Back ******

“Do you remember the trees after the steps?”

“Yes.”

“Do you remember what it was that I told you about them?”

“Never to venture into them.”

“Yes. Do you know why I told you that?”

“No.”

“Because bad things happen in there. Many dangers are hidden amongst them. Many Demons live in there.”

“Then, why doesn't Father simply kill them?”

“Because it was forbidden many years ago. No human could defeat them. The balance of the Earth wouldn't exist anymore if they did not live.”

“Then why aren't we friends?”

“Young Princess you really make me laugh some days. The balance of the Earth is between good and evil. If there were no evil then one wouldn't know what good really is. With out dark there is no light. Do you understand?”

“Yes.”

“Good, remember your promise, do not go into the forest of Inu-Yasha.”

“Inu-…what?”

“Inu- Ya-sha. Promise not to go in there.”

“I promise.”

**** End Flash Back ****

“That seems so long ago.” Terra said out loud. `Who was that that I was talking to? Was it just a dream? No those words sound so really to me. I wonder who it was.' Terra thought to herself as she walked into the outer parts of the forest.

*********** Back at the Palace ********

“Hey. Have any of you seen Terra. I wanted to ask her opinion on what to do with my make up.” Rachel said entering Quarnessia's room. “No we haven't seen her since we left the tea house. Have you tried Kim's room? She might know.” Suggested PaDee. “I was just there.” Rachel replied. “And no answer at her room I suppose?” ask Quarnessia. “No. It appears she hasn't come back from tea yet.” Rachel said. “That's not like Terra.” She added. “She could be in the gardens. You know her, always talking to trees, and birds, and so on.” Quarnessia tried. “But-““There's nothing to worry about.” Insured Quarnessia. “No you don't understand, she wasn't there either.” Rachel said worriedly. “Are you sure?” PaDee asked. “I'm positive.”

“She wouldn't go down into Inu-Yasha's forest would she?” asked an almost fearful Rachel. “I don't think she would.” Said PaDee reassuringly. “Let's wait a while and if she doesn't come back in half an hour well but a search out for her, okay?” suggested Quarnessia who knew too well how Terra ventured off for little moments to be by herself. “OK.” Rachel defeat idly agreed.

******* Terra******

It wasn't long before the place seemed familiar to Terra in some odd way. She knew for a fact she had never ventured into that forest before and hadn't gone down with one of her parents. But some how everything looked, felt, seamed so familiar. She found a tree, which from the looks of it was very old. For some reason the tree just had a comforting feel to it. There was a part of the tree that looked as though it had been stripped of bark at one point and had never quite grown back. Off to the left of the mark was a piercing. As though something had gotten stuck in there at one time.

The wind in the branches and the scents floating around her fell right. She couldn't explain it, but there was some pull on her heart that made her want to stay. “I would if it didn't mean that they'd send guards out for me.” Terra said to the tree. She stood there for a while and just admired the tree and the way it made her feel at ease.

She started on her way back when some presents caught Terra's attention. She looked all around her to find what it was that she felt close by. She saw nothing. Then there was a sudden urge Terra had to turn back and go after what ever it was that was there. Instead she opted to keep going straight and ignore it.

Suddenly a black shadow appeared from no were, and started to attack Terra.

*****The Palace*****

“It's been half an hour and she still hasn't come back.” Rachel moaned. “Quarnessia, I'm really beginning to worry about Terra. She's never this late to get ready.” Said a really worried Kim. “Yeah, she wouldn't just not show up for these things either.” Joined in Jing. “Quarnessia, I think it's time that we send the guards out for her.” PaDee suggested. “No.” Quarnessia said simply. The girls were all shocked at her reply and asked why not. “Sending out the guards would mean that Darien would get upset, and then he wouldn't let us go. So what we will do, is find her our selves.” Was Quarnessia's answer to the worried bunch. They all looked at her and silently agreed.

They all transformed into the sailor roses, and went on their way to find Terra. Quarnessia and Jing-Jing went together, Kim and Rachel went together, and PaDee stayed close to the Palace to make sure things would be alright.

*****Quarnessia and Jing-Jing*****

“Come on Jing, we'll check the gardens first.” said Quarnessia. “You sure that she'll be ok?” asked Jing. “I'm not sure, but knowing Terra she'll take care of her self.” They ran off in two different directions of the gardens. “Meet me back in the center in 15 minutes.” Quarnessia called out. “I will.”

******Rachel and Kim******

“Kimmy…you don't suppose Terra's hurt do you?”

“Are you crazy?! If anything got Terra she'd be the one to win, and with out a scratch,” said Kim, `Terra I hope you're ok.'

“But Kimmy, what if she did venture into Inu-Yasha's Forest? A demon might have gotten her.”

“Rachel don't be silly……You think she might have ventured into the forest?”

“I don't know, I would check but she's to far away to see what's going on in her mind.”

“Come on we'll go around the area and look.”

Kim and Rachel started to the edge of the forest.

******PaDee******

Standing guard at the palace PaDee decided to go see Seiya. She walked up to his door and knocked on it. “Just a minute.” came a man's voice. Soon the door opened to revel a tall man with black hair that was pulled into a ponytail. “Amai-hana, what brings you here?” he asked.

“Seiya, Tsuchi's missing. We can't find her.”

“What she's missing?”

“Yes, we don't have a ….”

PaDee was cut her sentence short. She all of a sudden had a picture of Terra being attacked by a dark figure. Seiya steadied her so she wouldn't fall down. “Amai-chan are you ok?” Another picture flashed across her mind. Terra was knocked out on the forest Flore. A big tree was right next to were she lay. “The Tree!” PaDee shouted. “Seiya Terra's in the forest!”

“Are you sure?”

“I'm positive; she's by the old tree. Inu-Yasha's tree.”

Seiya took no time and transformed. Come on Amai. We have to go help Tsuchi.”

They both ran from the room and down to the forest.

Thank you for your patients. I finally got this chapter finished. Truth be told I did forget about it. But after doing some research and getting things taken care of, the story's starting to go some were. I plane on making two other fics sometime. One's called `Live Again' based off the new Yin-Yang Twins' song. And there's another one I'm working on that's a Inu/Kag fic.

Well I'll try to up date soon.
