Disclaimer: Ossu Minna! I don't own anything except for some dvds including the Gundam Wing one I am watching right now… Wai! Hii-chan, Du-chan, and Fei-chan aishiteru! I love badass psychotic insane bishies! Wah, why did that girl and her puppy, Mary, have to die?
After Cosmos cleansed Nezumi/Mary, Sesshoumaru arrived with Inuyasha in hot pursuit. He walked up to Mary, and said “What happened to her?” Cosmos walked up beside him and knelt down. “She fought the evil, I'm not sure how but she resisted the urge to kill. We need to find out why. Someone with that much power should have an eye kept on her. Sesshie-chan please bring her along.” With that she handed Mary off to Sesshoumaru and launched off towards the mansion.
When they arrived, Cosmos led them into a room with a garnet door, then over to a portal in the wall. Tapping it twice she then hovered her staff over Mary's forehead, viewing her past. “The bond never formed…” She collapsed into a chair. “That explains why she could fight off the evil.” Sesshoumaru looked confused. “what explains what Sere-chan?” Cosmos looked up at Sesshoumaru and sighed. “When her starseed was born from the Cosmos Cauldron, it was bright enough and pure enough to bond with the light of a Sailor crystal, but at the time there were no Sailor crystals to bond with so her crystal was sent on to a body. Since now I am now guardian of the Cosmos, I can bond her starseed with that of a Sailor crystal… In fact the sooner it is done, the better. You two please wait for us, we'll be back soon.” With that, she picked up Mary and stepped through the portal. Sesshoumaru turned to his brother “We'd better prepare.”
“Mary-san, wake up, now.” Cosmos stood up the girl next to her, and faced the Cauldron. Mary blinked and looked over. “Cosmos-sama why am I here?” Cosmos looked out at the panorama before her. “I have brought you here to bond your starseed as it originally was meant to. Your destiny awaits you in the Cauldron.” Mary turned and bowed to Cosmos before she leapt off the edge. A silvery-black flash lit the entire Cauldron as it heralded the birth of a new Sailor warrior. Mary hovered just off the edge of the ledge where Cosmos stood. She was clothed in a mainly black sailor fuku with silver accents “Watashi wa Sailor Nezumi, goddess of death. At your service Cosmos-sama.” Cosmos beckoned her forward and they stepped back through the portal to the mansion.
“Sesshie-chan, where are you guys? We're back!” Cosmos yelled as she ran down the stairs. She entered the kitchen and found the guys cooking, again. “Sheesh! You guys cook more than most chefs do, but it sure smells good.” Cosmos turned to Nezumi, who smiled. “Atashi wa Sailor Nezumi, the goddess of death. It's nice to meet you.” The guys nodded and turned back to their cooking as Cosmos and Nezumi detransformed and headed upstairs. Usagi led Mary to a room with a black door and let her go inside to change. She waited outside until Mary walked out the door in blue jeans and a Hiiro t-shirt. Usagi turned and headed back downstairs, with Mary right behind her. When they walked into the kitchen, Inuyasha had a forkful of food in his hand, and was trying to dodge Sesshoumaru who was swinging his sword at him. Usagi giggled, interrupting their fight. Sesshoumaru put away his sword, and they all sat down at the table and scarfed their food. Inuyasha sat back “I need to return to the Feudal Era… Naraku isn't dead yet, and there'll be no peace until he is. Also, we need to finish collecting the Shikon no Tama, before someone else does.” Usagi began to nod, but started to yawn. “I…yawn…agree, we do…yawn…have to go…yawn…back.” Sesshoumaru smirked at his sister “I take it from all your yawning Sere-chan, that you want to stay the night here?” Usagi nodded and they all headed off to bed. Mary entered her room, and walked out onto the attached balcony. She stretched and began to doodle on a piece of paper that appeared in front of her. When she finished, she had forever preserved the fight that Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha had earlier. She signed her name at the bottom and pinned it up on the wall. She leaned over the edge of the balcony, looked down and sighed. “Can't sleep?” A voice behind her whispered. Mary shook her head and turned around. Sesshoumaru stood there leaning against the balcony. Mary sat on the railing, and debated letting herself fall. “A drop from this height would most definitely kill you, but I don't suggest you do it. I might have to stop you, or worse call my sister and have her stop you.” Mary just stared at Sesshoumaru. “How did you know what I was thinking?” He turned away from her and sighed. “I've seen that look many times, mostly on my own face… Would you like to talk about it? It might help.” Mary stood and walked over to the chairs on the other side of the balcony. “I've killed… So many people, including my own family. The evil kept taking over, and at first I could only take control for a few minutes at a time. Long enough to see what I had done. I lost count after the first hundred dead, and slowly I was able to take control for longer periods of time. I slowly, during the periods when I was in control, made my way to Japan, searching for Sailor Moon. The one person who could help me. It took a long time, and any time I smelt, saw, or tasted blood, the evil would take over and go on a killing rampage. I haven't been able to sleep very much since then, because I always see myself covered in blood and my family dying because of me. Their pain is terrible, and I caused it. Caused it because I couldn't keep my curiosity in check. I have failed, and there is a place in hell reserved for me, with an eternity of their screams tearing apart my soul.” Tears began to run down her face as she spoke, and when she finished, rivers of tears were pouring down her face. Sesshoumaru knelt beside her, and began softly wiping the tears from her eyes. “No matter what you think, it was not your fault, and it never will be. You had no control over your body, you said so yourself. And no matter what happens, your family would forgive you once they knew.” Mary shook her head “No they wouldn't, my brothers were always telling me that the wished I was never born, and in my mother's eyes I could do nothing right. All they would do was yell, the only one who really loved me was my father and at least he's still alive. But I came this close.” She held her fingers millimeters apart. “To going to his house after I…I… After I k-killed my family. Only the fear that I might kill him too kept me away.” Sesshoumaru put his finger to her lips. “What did I tell you, it's not your fault they're dead. It's the evil's fault.” Mary smiled sadly at him but then looked horrorstricken. “But what if the evil was only a figment of my imagination, what if it was really me killing those people, and my mind created the idea of the evil just to keep me sane? Either way, I killed all those people, no matter whose fault it is, the blood is still on my hands. Mine, no one else's.” She turned away from Sesshoumaru, and curled up in a little ball, whispering over and over “It's my fault, all my fault.” Sesshoumaru turned her face towards him, and kissed her softly. Mary slowly turned her whole body towards him and deepened the kiss. Finally, the need for air made them separate. Sesshoumaru smiled down at her. “Believe me, please. It's not your fault, not now not ever. Now go to sleep and have pleasant dreams.” He kissed her once more on the cheek and left, leaving her drifting off to sleep on the chair.
Mary woke in the morning to find a light misting of dew covering her body. Shaking it off like a dog, she walked inside and entered the shower. She let the hot water run over her body, pulling the chill from her bones, and the sorrow from her mind. She sighed softly to herself, last night had done more good than she thought, she had actually slept one night without having those horrific nightmares. She stepped out of the shower, got dressed, and headed over to the chair on the balcony. Grabbing a pad of paper and a pen, she began to write a letter to her father.
Dear Daddy,
I know you are probably really worried about me right now, but please don't worry anymore. I have been rescued by some very nice people who have treated me well. I will come home as soon as I can, but until then I will write as often as possible. Please don't worry, and don't try to spend time looking for me as I will most likely be impossible to find. No matter what happens, remember this, I will always love you and I am forever your daughter.
Forever with Love,
Mary
Sealing the envelope, Mary tucked it in her pocket and walked downstairs to prepare breakfast. Judging by the fact that it was still dark out, she figured she had several hours so she fired up the stove and began to cook her sadness away.
Several hours later, when everything was ready, Mary snuck upstairs to the room with the portal. Walking over to it, she tapped it twice with her finger and shoved the letter through. Then she snuck swiftly out of the room, and into the room with the sky blue door. She planted a kiss onto the lips of the person sleeping in the bed, ran out the door, and went back down to the kitchen. Just in time to bump into Usagi who was walking sleepily through the doorway. They both collapsed in a hysterical pile on the floor. Usagi, who was crying hysterically, and Mary who was laughing hysterically. Sesshoumaru walked down the stairs and helped them up, planting a kiss on Mary's lips and whispering “Revenge is so sweet.” Usagi just stared at them. “Uhh… Did I miss something?” Sesshoumaru just smiled mysteriously at his sister and walked into the dining room. Usagi tried to corner Mary, but she just slipped away with a dreamy look on her face. Sesshoumaru stood by her chair, and as Mary neared, he pulled her chair out with a flourish and said “Your chair, Milady.” Mary turned quickly sat down in Usagi's chair “Why Sesshoumaru, its so nice of you to help your sister with her chair.” (A.N. In my story, Sesshoumaru hasn't lost his arm.) Sesshoumaru blushed as his sister sat down in the chair, and glared daggers at Mary as he sat down in his own chair. Inuyasha entered the room as Mary bowed her head and began her prayer. She looked up to see everyone looking at her. She stared back and said “What? I was born Roman-Catholic, and even though I converted, old habits die hard.” Everybody looked down at their food and began to eat. And for once, Usagi ate at a human pace. Her fork rested on her plate after she finished and looked up “Mary-san are you a professional chef?” Mary blushed. “No, but the maternal line of my family has always produced some amazing cooks, especially me and my grandma. Besides, I was just bored.” (A.N. I know I seem like I'm leaving Inuyasha and Usagi out of the mushiness, but I have a few things to clear up before either of them can enter in a relationship with anyone.) Everyone helped clean up the mess, and as the other three went upstairs to take a shower, Mary headed back to the portal. She stared at it for a few minutes, then tapped it twice once again and this time stepped through.
She exited the portal a few hours later, covered in dirt and blood, with wisps of smoke trailing behind her. She quickly wiped the tears from her eyes, as she noticed the three people standing worriedly beside the portal. She stepped forward and stumbled, but Sesshoumaru caught her before she fell and helped her to her room. she stepped into the bathroom for the second time that day, as Sesshoumaru left for his own bathroom to wash off the grunge Mary got on him when he caught her. Mary reached for the washcloth, and scrubbed all the marks, imagined or not, as she cried. When she realized what she was doing, and stopped, her skin was all red. She quickly finished washing up, and exited the shower. She got dressed this time in a pair of black cargo pants and a white tank-top. She walked out the door to Sesshoumaru staring in disgust at his clothes. He was wearing a pair of black jeans and a white tank-top with the kanji for Sesshou across the front. (A.N. Sesshou means destruction.) she began to snicker at him, then finally burst out laughing. Sesshoumaru glared at her and growled out “What Is So Funny? It's not my fault you soiled the last of my Kimonos, besides this feels really weird.” He began tugging on the shirt as they walked back to the portal room. Usagi pulled out her staff and tapped the portal twice before they all stepped through.
HI!HI!HI!HI!HI!HI!HI!HI!HI!HI!
Watashi wa/Atashi wa- I am
I know Mary's past is a little bloody, but that's how it came to me. It can't be any worse than the idea I had for another story. I know Sesshoumaru & Mary seem to be moving fast but it needs to, I wanted them together before everyone returned to the feudal era. Oh and the place Mary went to when she went through the portal was her home in America. Sailor Saturn is the senshi of DESTRUCTION and Rebirth, not death! You know the drill R&R. Onegai.
Ja Minna!
