Kagome aimed and released the purifying arrow. But just as she saw the sharp tool rush through the air with its power she saw her friend move in for a deadly attack with her boomerang.
- SANGO - LOOK OUT!! screamed Kagome, her heart stopped beating.
But Sango never heard the shout, but she did feel the pain as the arrow pierced her right shoulder blade and appeared on the front of her chest. The power in the arrow pushed her forward into the tentacle creature known as Naraku. She was certain she could hear her father call out her name as her life turned into darkness.
The battlefield was glowing in purple pink; the silence was devastating to everyone's ears. Nothing could be heard but still it was like a thunder like no one ever had witness before. Her name was on everyone's tongue. "Sango…."
The evil Naraku had been destroyed, the jewel had been completed. But Sango was gone, she was killed by Kagome's purifying arrow..
They had won, but they had lost their best friend. Nothing could ever bring back the strong woman known as Sango.

It was dark and the darkness was filled with pain. Her mouth was dry and she was sure she could taste her own blood. Disgusted by it she swallowed a couple of times in order to get it to go away. "I should be dead… but I am not dead." She thought and moved a bit, only to feel a burning pain in her right shoulder and breast.
- Kagome-chan? she whispered.
Only silence. Sango opened her eyes slowly and saw a darkened sky. In fact, it was soon going to rain. With will power only she raised her body up on its feet, her boomerang as a helper. The landscape around her looked battered and barren. She looked down on the ground and saw a few green strands of grass, other than that - nothing. The shape of the mountain range was unfamiliar and she began to feel fear seep into her mind. Something had happened when she was hit by Kagome's arrow.
- Where am I? she asked and grabbed her Hiraikotsu.
At least she still had her weapons with her, both the youkai bone and the sword. It was a bit reassuring. She began to walk very slowly, taking one step at the time towards the mountains. If the sky looked like this it was probably because a storm was brewing. She better seek shelter somewhere.
But if Sango thought that she would get there without a fight she was wrong. Suddenly she was surrounded of some weird looking creatures. She felt a shudder course through her but it was nothing like the aura of a demon. These creatures was something else and much more sinister. She took the giant boomerang in a tight grip and got into a defensive stance.
One of the creatures moved in and she made a swoop with her Hiraikotsu, making sure that the creature's head was removed from the body. Disgusted she saw the body dissolve into something grey and dusty. "Yuck, what the hell are these guys made of?" she thought and made another swoop with her boomerang, making sure to cut their heads off. That was obviously effective against these icky creatures.
But the small fight took the strength she had left in her legs and she sunk to her knees, feeling the first raindrops fall on her head. "Fuck, this was something I did not need." she thought and took a more firmer grip on her boomerang and hauled her up again and stumbled slowly towards the edge of the forest that was beneath the mountain range. She could perhaps seek shelter under a great tree. "And I need to take care of this wound. I am glad that the pain is dulling, but it is still bleeding." She looked down her shoulder and saw some lilac shimmering; the purifying energy was still lingering around the exit wound. "My little sister has become very powerful. I hope they got the asshole, I hope they killed him good."
It took her awhile but she reached the forest and she sunk down on her knees, breathing hard. She tried to keep her eyes opened but she could not, she was too exhausted and the pain began to throb inside her wound again. But as she moved to rest her back against the tree she saw a black figure appear in front of her. His black cape moved with the wind and she could see the shape of a wide hat. A lightning crossed the sky and lit up his face and she felt her heart clutch. She was going to die; she had no strength left to fight anyone. She could only hope that he would kill her fast and painlessly.
