Sango wanted to gap when she saw the pale figure in the bath tub. She swallowed what ever she was thinking about it and rushed over and turned off the water. He had been using only cold water and he was freezing and shaking like a leaf in the autumn wind. She grabbed a towel and began rubbing his limbs to get the warmth back on his skin.

- What were you thinking D? Have you gone completely insane? She said accusingly.

- S-stop, get away, he whispered harshly.

- No, you are going to be sick if you are not warm up… stupid boy.

"I would not be in this mess if it weren't for you."he thought and snarled, a snarl that transformed into one giant sneeze attack.

- See, you are already sneezing your brains out, she sighed and found another robe to put on him.

- Stop it woman!!

- Don't order me around D, this time you will do as I say, are we clear?

- Yes ma'am, we are clear, said Lefty.

- Good, now let's get you to bed, said Sango with a more softer voice.

A voice that called forth the fire inside D's body again. He groaned when he felt her body against his as she helped him up to walk into the bedroom. "Good thing I did this, because I would have tried to take her otherwise." He thought and closed his eyes and tried to think about blood sucking ghouls, vampires and werewolves, anything but the soft curves of Sango's body.

Sango managed to get D into bed; she continued to rub his arms to get the blood flowing in his skin again. She began to feel warm pool inside her stomach just being this close to him. He smelled like the earth it self and she found it to be very comforting and arousing at the same time.

- Don't even think about it, growled D when the minty scent of her heated state attacked his sensitive nose. - I am having trouble as it is.

- Huh?

- Meaning he can smell your arousal lady Sango, said Lefty with a snort before D managed to suffocate his hand.

Sango paled and pulled back. She knew had a good nose, but that good? She gulped and set down on the bed next to him.

- Is it true? Can you really smell such a thing D? she asked silently and looked down on her hands.

- Yes.

- Gods, I am sorry, I..

- You will be able too, once I teach you to separate different scents, he said and turned his back against Sango.

Sango wanted to sink through the floor in embarrassment. He could smell when she was excited; could it get any more worse than this?

D wanted to growl again when he could smell tears in the confined room. "No, no, don't cry Sango, I can't stand the tears of a woman, and especially not yours." he wanted to scream, but he didn't. He looked at his left hand and he saw the scolding face of Lefty. He knew what the demon in his hand thought of him right now. He was a major asshole with a capital A. She could not help what her body thought of him. As soon as the word flowed through his mind his dark eyes shot open. She was attracted to him, it was the cold fact. She liked being near him, otherwise she would not get aroused.

Lefty smiled and nodded. His master finally got the message through his thick headed skull. D turned around and saw Sango's sulking back. Her long black hair was covering the pillow with dark strands, like floating tar.

- Sango, please turn around, he asked with his soft melodic voice.

- No, leave me alone, she whispered back, refusing to look at him, she was embarrassed enough.

- Look at me Sango! he demanded more firmly.

- No!

"Stubborn woman."He thought and moved to sit next to her. He could hear her gasp when she felt him lay down behind her. He pulled her back against his chest and nuzzled her neck, just like he had when she had been unconscious. He pulled the blanket over them and he put his hand over her flat stomach.

- I am sorry that I made you feel uncomfortable Sango, it was not my intention. I have lived too long without any company that I have lost my manners, he said with a low voice.

- It's ok, I am…

- Shh, don't say anything, just sleep for now ok?

- Ok.

He heard her take a deep breath and she relaxed into his arms. He smiled for the first time in centuries, truly smiled with his heart.
