Chapter 1:The truth

 

If I get three reviews I will stop being so lazy with updating A Simple Mistake and give you two more reasonably long chapters. ^_^ So please read and review! (Sorry, its just that I am not that interested in A Simple Mistake right now that's why I barely update it also the fact that I have hit a writers block and my dad will not be returning home for along time because of his REALLY high ranked job in the navy… I barely even know him anyway and we have never had a father daughter heart to heart with him, but he barely knows me either and only really cares about me getting straight A's so I guess that's all that I can do for him. Not to mention emotional stress of living with my two little sisters who just so happen to be twins. Hell! , My mother even suggested a Stress/Anger management class to help get rid of stress. My life sucks… Opps… *sorry smiles sheepishly* I just rambled didn't I *sigh * Sorry `bout that… here's the story.

~Dream Sequence~

 

“Kagome!” yelled a man, he had long black hair and blue eyes that at the moment were clouded over with pain and love.

“D-daddy? What's happening? Are you ok?” asked a 5-year-old version of Kagome.

“ Kagome I want you to run as far away from here as possible ok? And no matter what you hear don't look back and don't stop running.” The man who was now Identified as Kagome's father said weakly.

“Daddy, what's the matter- oh no you're bleeding!” yelled the frantic girl.

“Kagome, promise me.” Her father said sternly.

“I-I promise daddy” the girl said softly tears streaming down her face.

“Hello Kokoro. Not dead yet I see, what a pity you won't be alive much longer.” A man in a long black cloak said not anywhere near regretful.

“You bastard! You shall never receive what you desire.” Kokoro Kagome's father said hatefully.

“Kukukukuku (an: does he even laugh that way?), and who is this cute little girl?” the mysterious man asked, acting like he didn't even hear Kokoro.

“Kagome Run!” yelled Kagome's father as he was stopped to say anything else because of a sword that had severed his head from his body, at which was put there by the man. Kagome didn't waste any time, with tears streaming down her face she ran and didn't look back, just as her father had requested.

~End of dream sequence~

(Kagome's pov)

“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” I screamed as I woke up. `It was just a dream, just a dream' I repeated to myself over and over again. As soon as I cleared my head I thought, `What was that? I don't remember anything about my father for years, not even what he looks like, and I suddenly have something pop up in my head… Anyways my mother said he died in a plane crash during a business trip, not from decapitation, maybe I should go back to sleep…'. Try as I might I just couldn't get any sleep. The mysterious man's voice kept echoing in my head “I will find you…my priestess…”. So I had no sleep because of that man of my imagination, even though I was in my time, in my bed, with my family in this same house. I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach that something bad was going to take place tomorrow, I just hoped with all my heart that it nothing would happen, that everything would be normal (for me at least.). But deep within me I knew that I was right, but I didn't let it get to me, I would continue hoping until it was time for me to go back to the Feudal era and all of my friends.

 

 

I looked at the clock, only 6:30. `Damn it, have I entered some stupid slow time barrier or something?' I thought jokingly `wait a minute did I just say `damn it' that's new… “sigh” I'm spending too much time in the feudal era, I'm picking up Inuyasha's language' I thought. I got up and went to my closet, I pulled out a black t-shirt that had a red rose on it with blood dripping off a thorn and in silver cursive letters it said, Every rose has its thorns…(sorry… couldn't resist red, silver, black and green are my fav. Colors!) . Then I slipped on some normal blue jeans. After a while in going back and forth between Feudal era and my era, I decided I wouldn't be stuck parading around Feudal Japan in a MINI skirt. Anyways… pants are easier to fight in than short skirts.

“Oh well time to pack.” I said while grabbing my new backpack Keade had given me, it was a deep forest green color and about half the size of my old yellow one. The good thing about the bag was that it had a spell on it that made it to where I could put almost anything into it (don't want to put to much in it … wouldn't be good to lose something…-_-) I noticed something in the far right corner of my room, it was a silver pouch, in it was a dusty substance that was a type of poison powder demon slayers traditionally use or used… whatever way you want to say it, it was a gift from my sisterly friend Sango. I grabbed my bow and slung it over my shoulder along with my quiver full of arrows and my backpack, and strapped my katana to my waist. My katana had the traditional black sheath, on the blade there was a leaf and vine design making its way to the tip of the sharpened blade, the hilt was black with a silver Oracle on it hunting a locust, courtesy of Sesshoumaru. If your listening to this than your probably thinking, What the Hell!?!? , Well that's exactly what Inuyasha shouted when Sesshoumaru gave it to me, and that's also what everyone excluding me and Sesshoumaru were thinking. Sesshoumaru had been secretly meeting me ever since I convinced him not to kill Kohaku for trying to kill Rin. Even though he originally came to fight me alone with no one around, I talked to him and treated him like a real person, not Lord Sesshoumaru of the Western Lands and met frequently each night alone and talked with him, which one of those night he brought in the conversation of training and he trained me in swordsmanship. But that's another story. After I was dressed I went to the well and jumped in, back into the era I truly love with all my heart, the Feudal Era.
