Angel stared placidly at Shippo as he took the pouch of seeds in his hands.

“They're of sufficient power to be useful, but not very far out of your skills range. Sh- Kurama and I are going to help you train with them tomorrow,” she told the wide eyed fox.

“Does that mean that I get to speak to the great Yoko Kurama?!”

Angel laughed. “Yes, Shippo, you get to talk to Kurama. He may even change for you.”

You think it wise to get his hopes up? Hiei said inside her mind.

Hiei, if I have my way, Shuichi will be Yoko Kurama long before Shippo shows up. Come to the football field at seven tomorrow so we can spar. I'll try to go easy on you.

Angel laughed mentally before continuing on her way to Shuichi's house.

“Hello, Mrs. Minamino. Kurama's expecting me,” Angel said politely.

“I was just on my way out,” she replied. “Shuichi, you have a visitor!”

Kurama walked calmly down the stairs and smiled at Angel.

“Good-bye, dear. I'll see you later.”

“Bye, Mom.”

Angel and Mrs. Minamino swapped places and Mrs. Minamino shut the door behind her. Angel walked over to Kurama and ran her fingers across his chest lightly. Her very touch sent shivers up his spine.

“I love you, Kurama. I think I always have.”

Kurama smiled softly at this thought. Gold mixed with green as Yoko turned out to see the action. They lifted Angel and took off up the stairs to Kurama's bedroom.

Kagome smiled at Hiei who was standing at her door. Silently, she invited him inside.

“Is anyone here?” Hiei asked.

“Nope. It's just the two of us,” Kagome smirked.

Hiei smiled seductively at the miko priestess before he started for the stairs to the basement where Kagome's bedroom had been moved after Miroku, Sango, and her other friends moved in. Kagome raced after him. Her diary was lying on the bed and she feared he would see what was written in it.

“I…” she stuttered out as she stopped on the landing to see Hiei holding the precious book.

“Hiei is so handsome. I fear I am falling in love again. I don't want to get my heart broken again, but I am powerless to stop this. I'm so confused.”

“Kagome… I wouldn't hurt you. How you find me handsome is beyond me, but I am not heartless. I wouldn't hurt you, no matter what,” Hiei whispered.

Kurama stripped off Angel's top and began to suck on one of her breasts before massaging the other. Angel moaned and thrust herself upward against him. He simply continued to suckle on her breast until he felt the fly on his pants drop. Angel wrapped one slender hand around Kurama's throbbing member and began to tease him. Kurama threw his head back and growled. He couldn't stop himself. In one fell motion he bit into her neck, marking her as his mate. Angel almost stopped herself to think, but a part of her brain said “What's done is done!” and continued to tease him. Kurama pulled her black jeans and her underwear off in one fluid motion. He thrust into her, causing her to arch against him, driving him deeper inside her.

Hiei stared at Kagome as she looked from the book in his hands to his fiery red eyes. Tears flowed into her chocolate brown eyes as she mulled over what he said.

“I'm sorry I doubted you. I'm just so used to having my heart broken. I'm sorry…”

“There's no need to be sorry, Kagome. I just need you to understand that I love you. I don't think I can hurt you. Honestly, I don't see how anybody could hurt a beautiful woman like yourself.”

Kagome walked over to the short fire demon and took the diary from his hands. She walked over to the dresser and placed the book inside one of its lower drawers. She walked back to the bed and patted a place next to her for Hiei to sit down on. Kagome contemplated various options she had from there. Only one seemed best.

Kagome leaned closer to Hiei until their lips touched. His eyes widened before he leaned deeper into the kiss. Kagome wrapped her arms around him and the fell back on the bed. Hiei found himself tearing at her clothes.

“Stop, Hiei. I don't want to go that far yet,” Kagome said.

Hiei obediently pulled his hands back from the buttons of Kagome's shirt.

“I'm sorry.”

“No, it's ok. I just want you to know that I'm not ready for that yet.”

Hiei nodded.

“Oh Gods, Kurama. Faster… please!”

Kurama obliged the begging demoness. He pumped into her at demon speed. Angel matched him thrust for thrust. Before long, both had reached the peak. They came screaming each others names into the night.

“What's wrong Hiei?”

“I think… I think something's about to happen. I can't explain it, but I think Angel and Kurama have mated, and that that has caused some kind of… chain reaction that may very well destroy us all…” Hiei tried to explain.

“Don't worry about it. Whatever comes will come in its own time. We just have to be ready for it, that's all.”

“I hope you're right.”
