Chapter 6.
After the police had departed, kurama was left in a state of sock. His mother had been in a similar state, neither knowing what to say exactly, especially to each other. He had expected to have to calm down the human woman, fully anticipated her falling apart, to become hysterical, something! He was feeling a bit hysterical himself, thoughts jumbled, confused and overly loud in his head.
His mother had surprised him, taking his arm and leading him to his couch, making him sit while she got tea for them both.
Honestly, the more his almost incoherent thoughts swirled in his head, the more he felt sick to his stomach. He had to get better control than this. His mother was looking at him in worry, which he did not like at all.
"I ...." he had no idea what to say. What to think.
"I have complete faith that we will get this worked out dear. The gods would surely not give us anything we could not handle. Maybe the police made a mistake?"
Kurama was sure if the woman had ever met koenma, she would rethink that thought...
That had been a few hours ago, she had wanted to stay, to make sure he was okay. He had told her, he needed time to think, which was definitely the truth! There He had sat, in the same position, with his head in his hands since she had left.
The police wouldn't even give him the name of the woman "the victim" involved in this... this... what the hell was this? Nightmare. Definitely a nightmare.

It took kurama 27 hours, 36 minutes and 41 seconds to begin thinking clearly again. In that time, his mother had called 3 times to check on him. He told her he would contacte her when he found out anything about the sereal predicament he found himself in... although having no more contact with the police made him feel he was on the outside looking in. Like it wasn't real.
Thinking clearly again, he decided that the police refusing to give him the girl's name was not acceptable. Not when the... situation might involve him so deeply, personally... entamently.
He had taken dramatic measures.
Seeing as the police station he needed was open twenty four hours and he definitely did not want to chance getting caught if he broke in (not that he thought they could catch him). He most assuredly did not need that over his head along with the conflicts that were sure to arise given the reason he needed the information in that particular station to begin with.
He had called with the officers names to make sure he had the right squad. There were just to many to guess, and going on a wild goose chase was not in his plans. Besides, he wasn't the type to make guesses, guesses made for possible mistakes, which were not acceptable to him.
His "drastic measure" finally arrived, coming through a window as was customary for him.
"Hello hiei."
