Kagome read the letter a couple more times, still confused. What in the world does Hogwarts want with the likes of her? She would just have to question her mother after she packed...
---Now---
The soft thud of feet came down the creaky stairs of Kagome's home. She had just packed mere moments before she came down. In her eyes held a determination to find out what Hogwarts was and why they wanted her to attend there. She came into the dinning room, admiring the design of the room one last time before she had to leave. Her mother was sitting at the table, humming a soft song to herself. Kagome coughed which effectively grab Kun-loons attention "Good morning Kagome, dear!" her mother said with enthusiasm. Kagome glared down at her mom with a threatening look "Okaa-san, I received a letter from Hogwart's..." Kun-loon face paled "Did you...ha ha..."
"Okaa-san!!" Kagome scolded. Kun-loon bangs covered her eye's, her expression grim "Kagome, I'm a witch." Kun-loon explained. "I went too Hogwarts, long ago.... But I didn't think you would attend Hogwart's this late in your life."
Kagome was shocked to say the least that her own mother was a witch, but she nodded her head in understanding, her expression easing a little "Okaa-san, Hagrid is taking me too Hogwarts. What is Hogwarts by the way?" she asked still wanting answers.
Kun-loon nodded with a smile, remembering that crazy game master she had when she was attending Hogwarts. She wondered what he was up to now, whatever it was it most likely had something to do with magical creatures. She mentally giggled at the thought. 'Maybe he is, it wouldn't surprise me at all.' “Hogwarts is a place were witches and wizards come to learn to control their magic, in other words it is a school...” Kun-loon explained quietly, multiple emotions shined through her eyes as she remembered her times at the school. After a couple of minutes Shippou's small fox like feet padded into the dinning room while rubbing the heavy sleep from his eyes. "Okaa-san... Who's Hagrid and what's Hog-wa-rts" Shippou asked, having over heard them before he walked in.
Kagome turned around and gazed down at Shippou, a surprised look on her face "Oh Shippou dear, Hogwarts is a school for witches and wizard's and Hagrid is taking me there, but you'll have to stay here with your grandma..."
Shippou nodded sadly; tears breaming in his eyes. He had a feeling that he would not see her for a long while. "Everyone let's eat breakfast." Kun-loon announced happily, attempting to break the gloomy mood that seemed to fall over the dinning room. Kagome grimaced, seeing the tears sliding down Shippou's young fox like face. She took a seat across from her mother with Shippou in her lap. Soon enough Jii-chan and Souta showed up and yet again an ofuda was throw, yet it was now on Shippou. Shippou face turned to pure horror and wailed for help, but then he realized that the ofuda had no effect. His right eye started to twitch and soon enough Kagome's grandfather had a huge lump of his head. The old man scream about how the young had turned against the elders, abusing them! Which earned him another lump on the head, but by Kagome this time.
---At 12:00pm---
The door bell rang through out the house, alerting the ones inside. Kagome ran too the door and quickly opened it, with an exited expression displayed on her face. There in the doorway stood a tall figure with bushy hair and beard, he was taller than Kagome, by a couple of feet.
.
" 'ello there Kagome, I'm Hagrid." the tall man in the doorway said in a gruff voice. Kagome could only understand him because she had learned English during the year's of shard hunting, due to her studies at school that she had effectively graduated from. "Hi Hagrid! Let me go get my stuff." Kagome said with a warm smile.
Kagome ran up the stair's and into her room, where a black bag laid on the now blue covered bed. She had grown tired of pink, having worn it for so long, but she still like the color a lot. She was soon down the stairs and heading for the door when her mother, having realized who had arrived, ran over to her and gave her a simple old aged key. "You'll figure it out..." She said with sadden look, tears threating to fall. Her baby was off again and she knew that she would be gone for a long while to come. Kagome gave her mother, Shippou, Souta and Jii-chan a bone-crushing hug, tears sliding down her face, unchecked. "Bye you guy's! I love you!!!" Kagome said as she rushed too the front door, leaving with Hagrid on one of the strangest buses she seen yet.
---Leaky Cauldron---
Hagrid and Kagome arrived at the front door of the Leaky Cauldron. It was like any normal looking inn, but she notice to her own amazement that the tables cleaned themselves after a patron left and she saw so many wizards and witches that it dumbfounded her like no other. Before she and Hagrid had enter, he had told her that muggles could not see this inn nor the bus they took to get here, but then she asked what a muggle was and he went into a long and hard explanation as to what and why they were muggles to his own distress. As they walked in, everyone gasped and whispered to each other. Kagome could hear what they were saying and it annoyed her a lot. People here could just so be rude! Just talking about you like your not there! Then she heard something that puzzled her "The one to save us is here!!" Kagome frowned at this. What were they talking about? Why did they say that she was the one to save them all and from WHAT?! She sighed and fallowed Hagrid who was heading strait for the bar.
Hagrid walk up the manager who was checking the maintenance of his inn. The manager gazed up at Hagrid in warm greeting and asked what he could do for him. After requesting two rooms, one of the waiters escorted them to a table, helping them to a somewhat peaceful meal. Kagome was nervous with all the stares she got from the other patrons of the inn and shrunk in her chair, trying to disappear from the crowed. Hagrid noticed this and tried to calm her frayed nerves with a simple 'Don't mind those folk' speech, but it did little to help. After a while of dinning, Kagome started to ask Hagrid a couple hundred questions, which he was expecting from her sooner or later. Soon enough she left Hagrid to his own musings and went to her room and soon fell into a deep sleep.
---In the Morning---
Kagome got up at six in the morning, rubbing the heavy sleep from her eyes. Slowly rising form her westered styled bed, she walked towards her black bag and rumbled around for a simple shirt and jeans. She left her room in hopes of finding Hagrid, which wouldn't be hard judging by his height and bushy hair. She found him down stairs talking to a boy with a lighting scar on his forehead, his hair jet black with dark stormy blue eye's. Then her gaze turned to the boy next to him, slightly taller with red/orange hair and startling green eyes. Then she noticed an intelligent looking girl to her left, the girl had long curly/bushy brown hair with light silver eye's, wise beyond their age. Kagome walked down the stairs towards them, with a bright smile. All the while hoping that they would help her at Hogwarts and maybe become her new friends.
"Good morning Hagrid! Who are these people?" Kagome ask with a light curiosity as she came down the rickety old stairs. Hagrid turned his gaze towards Kagome, grinning. "Why 'ello Kagome, these fine young people are 'Arry potter, 'Ermione Granger and Ron Weasley." he said with a even bigger grin. She turned her gaze towards them, smiling while she bowed. "Nice too meet you all, my name is Kagome Higurashi."
Harry, Ron and at each other and then towards her, instantly identifying her as the strange power they all sensed. And what was strange about her was that she looked like she had natural ocean blue hair! In their daze they did not notice Hagrid walking towards the basement door, until he spoke up, startling them all.
"Well you coming?" They all nodded, still a little startled. All four walked toward Hagrid and the basement door. When they got down to the basement, Hagrid began to tap the wall in a strange pattern and soon the brick's started to move, reviling Diagon Alley and the rush of wizard that came with it.
.
She gasped at all the shop's, wizard's and witches she saw. Her mother must of come here as well, but why did she keep this from her own daughter? Was it because she wanted her to have a normal life? She coughed at idea of 'normal', whiled catching up with Hagrid "Well 'Arry, Ron and 'Ermione, well meet you at the Food Court and then we can show miss Kagome around 'Ere." Hagrid said waving his hand in a short farewell. They all nodded their heads and left to their own purchases.
"Kagome do you still have that key your mother gave you?" Hagrid asked softly, knowing that she missed her family already from the look that passed over her face at the mere mention of her mother. "Yes, here you are." Kagome handed him her key. "Well then will be going to Gringotts to get your money." Hagrid explained. She nodded and followed Hagrid's lead, her face downcast.
When they arrived at Gringotts Kagome was dumbstruck at the mere size of the building, it seemed to tower over most of the other buildings of Diagon Alley. They walked up the long stairs and into the double doors. And soon enough Kagome noticed goblins running around with errands and such along with a couple of other students and full fled wizards and witches. Soon they were right in front of one of many service desks. There was an old looking Goblin. He glared up at Kagome and Hagrid while holding out his small hand in silent demand. "Your key?" Hagrid handed him the key. "Follow me." was all the creature said as it speeded off and they had no choice but to fallow it. They were led down a long hall, till they reached train track's and a cart. Kagome lifted and elegant eyebrow at the scene before her, but she got in the cart with Hagrid and speeded off. Just little to fast for Kagome's liking, though. Soon they stopped at Volt 555.
Kagome got out, feeling a little dizzy, but noticed that Hagrid was He must of done this many time before. Soon the goblin took out Kagome's key and opened Volt 555. The volt was very large with even bigger piles of gold that filled every corner of the room. Kagome got a bag out and filled it with gold, her eyes glazed over in amazement. How did her mother have this much money? But she wasn't going to complain about it and left it at that. They then left too the Food Court.
---Food court---
Hagrid led Kagome to the Food Court in Diagon Ally and soon they found Harry, Ron and Hermione were sitting at a small table with a couple of their own purchases sitting in their laps and on the table. Kagome went to the stand and ordered a shake something to eat and after she was done they left for the Wand Shop. All of them wondering what wand she would get.
Kagome walk into the wand shop with everyone behind her. She studied the shop, seeing many displays of wands and shelfs full of boxes containing different wands. Flick arrived to greet them and soon his eyes fell upon Kagome and instantly knew she was in need of a wand. "I see you need a wand." He measured her right hand and left to find the right wand. He came back soon enough and handed her a Unicorn wand. Kagome just stared at him, dumbstruck.
"You have to give it a wave. Remember you don't pick the wand, the wand picks you!" He explained, seeing the confusion in her silver eyes. Kagome nodded and gave the wand a quick flicked, but nothing happened.
About 10 wands later. "Here, This wand is made up of Angel Hair, and Dragon Hide. The Angel Hair represents for purity and kindness, while the Dragon Hide stands for strength and loyalty. Put those two together It forms a powerful wand." He said, now desperate to find her the right wand, having searched for a long while now. Kagome gave it a wave, the wand shot off a soft blue glow. "Yes, that the one for you!" He said in relief.
Kagome paid and left the Wand Shop. That day she got all her school thing's and became quick friends with Harry, Ron and Hermione.
