Kagome's Destiny

Sango was holding Kohaku in her arms Naraku had taken the shard out of his back, Miroku had taken too much of the poison insects and was unable to move, Kylala and Shippo were watching out for them. Kagome, Inuyasha, and Sessomaru were fighting Naraku and Kagura.

Let's go back, back to the beginning, back to when the earth, the sun, the stars all aligned.

Kagome was on her last arrow and she needed to make it count. “Inuyasha! Sessomaru!” she called to them they looked at her eyes and knew what she wanted them to do. Inuyasha and Sessomaru charged at Naraku and as planned Kagura intercepted them making Naraku wide open for Kagome to strike.

`Cause perfect didn't feel so perfect, trying to fit a square into a circle was no life, I defy.

Kagome shot her arrow but it didn't hit naraku he reflected it and it headed for Inuyasha!

“NO!” she screamed but he turned too late it struck him in the chest! “INUYASHA!” she screamed but he fell to the ground. She ran to him. “Inuyasha, please don't die on me!” she cried.

He gave a small smile. “Kagome, you were like a sister to me. Thanks for being there when no one else was.” He closed his eyes and his breathing stopped.

Kagome stood up her head bowed suddenly her hair started to blow around and she started pulsing as did Tetsigua! Her head lifted and her eyes snapped open they all saw that they were red! She was not the Kagome they knew anymore.

She growled low in her throat she had midnight black ears on the top of her head, blood red eyes two purple streaks on each cheek, and a midnight black tail that was swishing back and forth irritably. She gave a fang showing grin and charged at Naraku before anyone could stop her!

Now it was either the fact of her doing something so stupid or something different but naraku didn't have time to defend himself! She sliced him in two.

She gave a laugh and stared at Kagura, with whom they had a deal with, she would pretend to fight them and when they killed naraku she would be free and not bother them again. She started charging at Kagura!

I'm coming clean. Let the rain fall, let the rain fall. I'm coming clean.

Out of the trees came Yoko and Hiei. Yoko knew the deal with them and Kagura but he noticed Kagome's sent and ran to her!

“Kagome! Stop!” called Yoko as he grabbed her. She struggled but slowly her red eyes vanished leaving purple ones in their place.

He slowly sat down still holding her, and set her on his lap. She cried and he slowly ran his hand through her hair which calmed her down.

Sango, Miroku carrying kohaku, Shippo, Kylala, Hiei, and Sessomaru came to them.

“Kagome?” asked Sango, they were like sisters. One of her ears twitched in response.

It took her a minuet to realize what was going on because her brain was processing slowly at the moment. Her eyes grew wide, she touched one of them and to her surprise it moved! “EEK!” she screeched.

Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kylala were the only ones who jumped in surprise to her shriek. Kagome on the other hand jumped the minuet she screamed.

She examined her hands, touched one of her ears for good measure, she ran her tongue along her teeth to find fangs, and ran her hand along her tail. But the surprise didn't last for long as she calmed down in Yoko's lap.

“Why me?” she muttered.

She then remembered something that she had to so since her mother and grandfather weren't home. “I-I have t-to go. I-I-I'll be back s-s-soon.”

After they had buried Inuyasha's body Kagome headed to the well with her arms wrapped around herself. They had a feeling as she did that she wasn't going to be the same again.
