Chapter 9

Kagome was ecstatic. Her sister and friend are still alive in this era. She still couldn't believe that it was even possible. Though she had yet to know the reason for it, it did not worry her. Kagome had taken them to the dojo so that they could talk privately. Well as privately as possible, with the fire/ice demon following them. She knew that Hiei wanted to know what was going on, so she didn't give any hints that he was near.

“Okay, now you have to tell me how this is possible. I thought for sure you wouldn't be in this era.” Kagome asked.

Miroku and Sango looked at each other, each not knowing where to start. “Would you like the short version, or the long one?” Miroku finally asked.

Kagome gave them a considering gaze. She really wanted the long version, but she was tired and wanted to go to sleep. She finally decided that she could settle for the short version tonight, and then get the rest of the information tomorrow.

“How about short version tonight, long version tomorrow?” Kagome asked. She had a feeling the long version, would be very long.

“Okay, here it is. Guardian of time allowed me and Miroku to live to your time without aging. There is a great evil that you will have to face, sorry don't know much info about what kind of evil. Just that you will need help to defeat it. So that's why we're here.” Sango said as briefly as possible.

“Okay?” Kagome said dumbly. She didn't understand any of it. For some reason her mind just froze up, not wanting to believe that she was going to have to fight once again.

Miroku sighed. From the looks of it, it seemed that Kagome would need some time to process it, before they told her the rest. “I believe it is now time to sleep. It has been a very long day, has it now Sango?”

Sango, seeing through Miroku's subtle hint to let Kagome slowly process the information, quickly agreed. “Indeed. Kagome I believe I will head towards my room now. I will see you in the morning.” Sango and Miroku both walked out of the dojo and headed towards the rooms Genkai had readied for them.

“Hiei, what do you think about all this?” Kagome asked quietly.

Hiei clearly heard Kagome's question. “I think you need to prepare yourself.”

Kagome sighed. “I am just so tired of fighting. I just want peace. I know I'll never again have a `normal' life. I just don't want to worry anymore. Does that make me a coward?” She asked.

“No, it just makes you, you.” Hiei replied simply.

“Hiei, I'm scared. It's because of you, Genkai, and Yukina that I started to `live' again. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't met any of you. And now there is Kurama and Yusuke. I, I don't want to lose any one of you, not even Kuwabara. Don't give me that glare, he is not `that' bad.” Kagome told him.

“Hn. Says you. It's not `your' sibling that he keeps fawning over.” Hiei grumbled.

“I should hope not. Considering most of my siblings are male. Well except for Sango.” Kagome said and heard Hiei growl when she mentioned Sango's name. Well, well, it seems my big brother is interested in my sister. Interesting. Now to see if my sister feels the same way.

“Was that a growl I heard. Could my big brother possibly be interested in a `female'?” Kagome teased as Hiei turned red in slight embarrassment.

“I don't know what you are talking about.” Hiei said calmly.

“Phewee. You know exactly what I'm talking about. I think she might be interested in you too by the way. She kept looking at you when she thought no one was looking.” Kagome informed him. She was going to have fun playing matchmaker.

“Hn.” Hiei said and escaped out of the dojo.

*Chicken.* Kagome said huffily.

*I prefer, self-preservation. Night.* Hiei answered back.

*Night Hiei.* Kagome replied back, as she made her way back to the house to go to sleep.

~*~*~*~*~*

She woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and in an extremely good mood. It took her a while to realize why she was in such a good mood. When she did, she hurried to shower and change and ran into the kitchen looking for the monk and tajiya. When she spotted them sitting next to each other eating on the table, Kagome ran to them and gave them a big hug.

“So it wasn't a dream, you guys are really here.” Kagome exclaimed with tears running down her cheeks.

Sango and Miroku hugged Kagome back just as hard. Sango also had tears running down her face, while Miroku seemed to be having trouble holding his back. It had been so long since they had seen their friend.

“We're here Kagome, and we won't leave you. Not again. Not if we can help it.” Sango promised fiercely.

“We have missed you so, little one.” Miroku said. “It hasn't been the same without you.” Miroku release her when he heard growling coming from two different people. When he looked up, it was to see Yusuke and Kurama giving him a deadly glare.

“Now, little one, would you do me the honor of letting me go. I do believe my health would fare much better if you would.” Miroku requested of Kagome.

Kagome looked up at Miroku, trying to figure out what he meant. She then followed the direction of his gaze and saw the glares Yusuke and Kurama were sending him. “Sit!” Both Kurama and Yusuke hit the floor.

*Hey why do I get sat too. You were the one growling not me?* Youko whined.

*You encouraged him.* Kagome stated.

*Yikes, you heard?* Youko asked a bit scared.

*Of course.* Kagome told him smugly.

“How dare you threaten Miroku. Who do you think you are?” She demanded angrily. “He is a part of my family, and you will treat him with respect. Is that clear?”

The subduing spell had worn off and both Yusuke and Kurama were now sitting up. They gulped at the sight of a furious Kagome. It seemed these two were having trouble trying to control their jealousies. They both nodded in understanding. The Monk was off limits.

Miroku and Sango in the mean time were having trouble trying to control their amusement. It seemed that their friend still had her short temper. They always were a bit wary when Kagome was angry, but they thoroughly enjoyed it when it was directed at someone else.

Kagome then turned towards Miroku and Sango and had her happy and cheery expression back on. “Now you two, after breakfast you will give me the long version. I want to know what in the world is going on.” And then proceeded to get her breakfast and quickly gobbled it down. She really had to know what they meant last night, when they gave her the shortened version.

Sango and Miroku had the same thoughts running through their minds. They'd better hurry up and eat, because Kagome wanted explanations. And it was usually best not to make her angry. When they saw that Kagome was finally done eating, all three headed outside to talk. Leaving a disgruntled Yusuke and Kurama behind, though they did try to spy on them. Unfortunately they were caught by Genkai, before they were even made it to the door. They both went back to eating breakfast, pouting. The only one who was successful in spying, was Hiei. Though maybe not successful since Kagome knew he was there. She felt him following them, but she trusted him completely. Besides, she knew that she would fill him in on what was being said. She waited till Hiei was sitting comfortable in a tree before she started demanding explanations.

“Okay you guys, what is going on here?” Kagome demanded of the two.

After hearing this, both Sango and Miroku were trying to think of how to start telling her what she needed to know.

“Uh, Kagome, I think you'd better sit down for this.” Sango told her.

“Yes, I agree with Sango.” Miroku said.

Kagome gave them a suspicious look, then proceeded to sit on the grass covered ground, underneath a tree. The same tree Hiei was perched on. Sango and Miroku quickly followed suit. “Now I want the complete version, and I do mean complete.”

“Sango, would you like the honor of starting?” Miroku asked.

Sango took in a deep breath and slowly let it out. This is going to be a long day. She thought to herself before starting. “This happened not too long after your disappearance. I came upon a village that was under constant attacks by different demons. I came to the village to see of what help I could be. Apparently there was a mystical weapon that supposedly grants immense power to the user. There was also a clue that was given as to its location. I had been searching the caves with Higaro, an ice demon, as well as my mate. And no I will not tell you about him just yet. That explanation can wait. Not soon after we started the search, Miroku showed up claiming to have heard rumors of what was taking place among this village.”

“I had rumors of demon attacks upon the village and had decided to investigate. That is where I came upon a mated Sango and her companions. With my help Sango and I were able to find the location of the mystical weapon. The entrance of the room did not allow our other two companions to pass. Instead it knocked them out. Once Sango and I were in the room The Guardian of Time made her appearance. She looked like an angel.” Miroku explained with an enraptured expression upon his face.

Sango seeing that Miroku was losing himself in the moment, decided to take over. “The Guardian told us of a great evil that you will face, and that you will need our help to defeat it. Since Miroku and I are mortal, she extended out life line so that we would not age. We would not age until we were reunited with you, then and only then will out life line take in the aging process of our soul mates. Since I was already mated, and had found my soul mate, my life line would extend to that of his. Miroku is to find his soul mate in this time.”

Miroku, wanting to quickly change the subject about soul mates, continued where Sango left off. He did not want to see her dwell to much on her mate, since it was causing her great pain to do so. “The Guardian gifted Sango and I with a weapon each. Sango was gifted with a special sword. This sword contains a dragon spirit and only Sango, or someone who had Sango's permission, may wield it. I was gifted with a staff much like my old one. Much like Sango's sword, my staff has many abilities, which I am still learning. Also, it contains a dragon spirit. No one but I can wield it. Well almost no one, only the person that has my permission can wield this staff.” Miroku paused and looked over at Sango. He didn't want to be the one to tell her this next part.

Sango, catching Miroku's gaze, sighed. She hoped that Kagome wouldn't explode upon hearing this next bit of information.

Kagome seeing the interaction between Sango and Miroku, just knew that what was to be said next would be difficult to handle. “What? What don't you want to tell me?” Kagome demanded.

Sango reached into her pocket and pulled out a necklace. The necklace had a pendant on it that held both a silver dragon with a red rose and a black dragon with a blue tear drop. “Kagome this necklace is for you. The Guardian gave me this necklace to give to you. The pendant symbolizes your mates.” Sango said simply.

Kagome took the necklace and immediately put it on. After she put it on she gazed upon the pendant. As she was gazing, what Sango had just finished saying started to sink in. “MATES?! What do you mean by mates?” She yelled, making Sango and Miroku yelled.

“Yes lady Kagome, you will have more than one mate.” Miroku brought out two other necklaces. On one necklace was a pendant of a silver dragon holding a red rose in its claws. On the other pendant was a black dragon holding a blue gem in the shape of a tear. “You are to give these necklaces to your mates. Since there is only two necklaces, you will have two mates. You will know which each necklace belongs to.” He handed over the two necklaces.

Kagome dazedly looked at the necklaces she was holding in her hands. The only thing she could think of at the moment was that she has two mates. How in the world did this happen. Kagome looked up and Sango and Miroku, and before anyone could guess her reaction, Kagome promptly fainted.

Hiei, seeing that his sister was falling down, quickly jumped off the tree and caught Kagome in his arms. He lifted Kagome into his arms and held her bridal style. He smirked at the surprised looks on Sango's and Miroku's face. “Two mates?” He questioned amused.

“Yes, she is to have two mates.” Sango confirmed as she stood up.

“Yep, two mates.” Miroku confirmed, as he also stood up.

“Interesting.” Hiei said out loud. “Do you know who they are yet?” he asked.

“Not exactly, but I do have theory.” Miroku replied.

“Hn. It wouldn't be those two oaf's in the kitchen?” Hiei asked. If it were indeed those two, he was going to have some fun.

“Hm. Now that you mention it…OW!! What was that for Sango?” Miroku asked as he rubbed his aching head, where Sango had hit him with her fist.

“You can't be completely certain that those two are her mates. Only Kagome would know for sure.” Sango replied. “Well what are you doing standing there. Shouldn't you put Kagome somewhere to lay down? At least until she wakes up.” Sango said somewhat scathingly.

Hiei merely lifted a brow at Sango's tone of voice. For some reason he got the feeling that she was angry at him for some reason. He just couldn't figure out why. He also couldn't put the fact away that she was off limits. She had a mate already. He had never been so jealous in his life. The thought that someone else had claim to that beautiful woman, instead of him. He had half a mind to go and slaughter her mate.

“Well.” Sango demanded, when she got no response.

“Hn.” Was all Hiei said as he made his way into the house and towards Kagome's room, making sure to pass both Kurama and Yusuke on his way. He couldn't wait to see the expression on both of their faces when he told him about Kagome having two mates.

As this was happening, Genkai had received a summons to visit an old friend. The summons sounded important and so Genkai had quickly left. As soon as Genkai reached her friend's house. Genkai impatiently knocked on the door only for it to be opened by a short ugly man.

“Take me to Genie, NOW!” Genkai demanded. The short man immediately started mumbling about rude ningens as he quickly led her into the garden that was behind the house.

“Genie, what is the meaning of this summons?” Genkai immediately asked.

“Well hello to you to Genkai. It has been such a long time since I've seen you. My you have aged.” Genie answered coolly. Genie was Genkai's height and also had pink hair, but unlike Genkai she had green eyes. Also, Genie looked to be in her mid twenties, where as Genkai looked old.

“Cut the crap, what do you want.” Genkai demanded.

Genie sighed, she just hated asking for favors. “In short, I have been summoned to a meeting in the Makai. I am to bring all of my friends who know about demons along with me, along with their friends who also know about such things. You are the only friend I have that knows about such things, and I know that you also have friends that know all about demons. I need you to come. I am in no position to deny or ignore such a summons. It was issued by them.” Genie said.

“Humph. Why should I care?” Genkai asked.

“Because you owe me.” Genie said simply. “Besides you know I, I can't face him alone. You know he'll be there. Please Genkai.” Genie asked pleadingly. All emotion showing through her eyes.

“You have to face him sooner or later Genie. You can't just keep running away. I still don't know why you ran the way you did.” Genkai said in a soft tone.

“Well, will you do it or not. You need to bring all of your friends that know of demons.” Genie asked, changing the subject. She really didn't want to talk about him.

“If I don't, then what?” Genkai asked curious.

“Then I'll have to move the Makai, and never again will I be allowed into the Ningenki.” Genie answered honestly.

Genkia softly cursed under her breath. “Fine, but after this we are even.”

“Thank you Genkai.” Genie said in genuine gratitude.

“When do we have to be there.” Genkai asked.

Genie winced, she just knew Genkai would no like her answer. “Two days.”

“Cutting it short, were you.” Genkai asked.

“Not really, I just received the summons today.”

“Where are we to meet?” Genkai asked.

“At the Lords of Makai meeting place. The place where they hold all conferences between them.” Genie said, waiting for Genkai to explode.

Genkai counted to ten. She really hated the Three Lords of Makai. “Genie, this will be the final favor you ask of me. But I warn you, if any of my friends come to harm, I will see to it that you regret it.” Genkai threatened.

“I understand Genkai.” Genie answered, a little frightened.

“Good. I will see you in two day in the Makai.” Genkai said and quickly left. She really was not looking forward to it.

Genie took in a big breath of relief. She really did love Genkai, and would do anything to protect her, but Genkai was difficult to deal with. She just hoped she wouldn't regret making Genkai go with her.

~*~*~*~

Back at the temple Kagome was groggily waking up. She stretched her body slowly over the bed and then wearily opened her eyes. Upon seeing that she was lying on her bed, she started to think that maybe what Sango and Miroku had told her earlier that day had been a dream. As she sat up, she started looking around the room and found that everyone was in the room as well. Sango and Miroku were standing by the door. Hiei was somewhere in the shadows. Though she couldn't see him, she could feel his presence. Yukina was sitting on a chair next to the dresser and Higaro was standing beside her. Yusuke and Kurama however were now starting to hover above her.

“EEEeek! What is everyone doing in here?” Kagome demanded.

“Lady Kagome, we were all just concerned for your health. It is not often that you faint on us.” Miroku replied calmly.

“Indeed Kagome, although the thought of having two mates must have been to much for you to handle.” Hiei said mockingly. He had already informed the detective and the fox as to why Kagome had fainted.

Kagome turned red. “Indeed Kagome, do you have any idea as to who your mates are?” Kurama asked.

Once Kurama asked this, the two pendants that Kagome had been clutching in her hand started pulsing. Kagome feeling the pendants come to life quickly opened her hand. Once she opened her hand the necklaces quickly flew from her hands and floated to her would be mates. The silver dragon pendant with the rose stopped in front of Kurama, while the black dragon pendant with the tear gem stopped in front of Yusuke. As soon as both men touched the pendant, the pendant immediately settled upon their necks. Once the two pendants were where they wanted to be, all three pulsed three more times and finally settled down. The whole room was in awe at what they just witnessed. Kagome's future mates were indeed Youko Kurama, and Yusuke Urameshi.

“Hey Kagome, wanna mate?” Yusuke asked with a lecherous sneer. While Kurama just looked smug.

“Sit! I am too young to have a mate, much less mate the two of you.” Kagome yelled at the fallen forms of both Yusuke and Kurama. “Just because you two are my supposed mates, doesn't mean, doesn't mean that I'm going to, that I'm, that we're gonna, that, that, that.” Kagome stuttered out turning an even darker shade of red.

“Have sex?” Hiei supplied from the shadows.

“Yeah that.” Kagome muttered, as she took off out of the room. On her way out of her room she bumped into Kuwabara. Kagome quickly mumbled a quick apology as she continued walking, not noticing the three women that accompanied Kuwabara.

“Who was that?” Asked a tall woman with straight shoulder length hair and brown eyes.

“Huh. Oh, that Kagome sis.” Kuwabara answered.

“Kagome?” A shorter girl with short brown hair and brown eyes asked.

“Yeah, that's Kagome, Keiko. She's living here at the shrine with Genkai.” Kuwabara answered.

They were in the hallway and were about to start walking towards to dojo to look for everyone, when a group of people started coming their way. Recognizing most of them, the four just stood there and waited for the rest to catch up.

“Hello Guys.” Said a cheery, blue haired girl.

“Hi Botan, Keiko, Shizuro.” Yusuke greeted.

“Hello.” Kurama said.

“Hn.” Was Hiei's greeting.

“Hello.” Yukina said.

“Hi.” Shizuro replied.

“Hi. Uh, Yusuke? Who are they?” Keiko asked looking at the three stranger with them.

“Huh?” Yusuke asked puzzled.

Kurama sighed. His friend could be dense sometimes. Just as he was about to introduce them he heard Botan speak up.

“Oh those are Sango, Miroku, and Higaro.” Botan said simply. “Sango, Miroku, Higaro, meet Keiko, Shizuro, and Kuwabara.”

“Hello.” Sango said politely.

“Hello.” Miroku told Shizuro and Kuwabara, but turned towards Keiko and took both her hands in his. Keiko started turning red in embarrassment. “Lovely lady, your beauty is beyond compare. Would you do me the honor of bearing my child.” Miroku said surprising everyone. Sango had not seen Miroku proposition a woman in centuries, well except Kagome, but that didn't count.

Before anyone knew what happened, Miroku was on the floor clutching between his legs. Keiko had a smirk upon her face. “Serves him right. Pervert.” Making the other guys in the room slightly wince as they felt their fellow man's pain.

“Oh great, the lech is back.” Sango muttered to herself, catching the attention of everyone in the room.

“What do you mean the lech is back?” Keiko asked.

“Well Miroku hasn't propositioned anyone in many, many years. Well except for Kagome, but that was for old time's sake.” Sango replied.

Miroku slowly made his way to stand up. With a dazed look upon his face he said, “I'm in love.” To the shock of everyone, even Keiko.

“Well Miroku it looks like you've found your soul mate. How does it feel?” Sango asked with a smirk.

Miroku looked thoughtful for a second. “Honestly?”

“Yeah, Monk, Honestly.” Sango replied back.

“Painful, very painful.” Miroku said simply.

“What do you mean soul mate?” Questioned Shizuro.

“A very powerful being told us long ago that Miroku would meet his soul mate in this time. She also cautioned him not to proposition her. That if he did, he might find himself unable to have children. I believe this is what she meant.” Causing much laughter in the room. “So Monk do you think you can still have children?” Sango teased.

Miroku gave a long lingering look towards Keiko. “If she will have me, I believe it is possible.”

Keiko turned red in embarrassment. “Pervert!” She screamed as she slapped him, leaving a red hand print against his cheek. Yusuke winced in sympathy, he remembered those slaps.

Miroku simply touched his cheek reverently. “I do believe she slaps harder than you Sango.”

“Want to test that theory Monk?” Sango asked.

Miroku looked spooked for a second. “Keiko would you please accompany me to the dojo. I do believe it is time for me to meditate.”

For some inexplicable reason Keiko felt the strong urge to go. She looked around the room before finally agreeing. “I warn you Miroku, you better behave.” She said, as she started walking out with him.

“If you'll excuse me, I believe I am going to go and look for Kagome.” Sango told the everyone as she too started walking out.

Yusuke looked at Kurama. “You thinking what I'm thinking Fox?” Yusuke asked.

“I believe I am detective.” Kurama replied.

“Good let's go.” Yusuke said and started following Sango outside, only to be blocked by Hiei.

“This way you louts.” Hiei said indifferently.

Yusuke gave him a curious gaze. “Unless you want to get caught, I suggest you follow me.” Hiei offered by of explanation.

Yusuke and Kurama followed Hiei outside and hid behind a bush just as Sango found Kagome sitting under a tree.

“Kagome are you okay?” Sango asked.

“Yeah. It's just a lot to take in all at once.” Kagome replied quietly. “Not only am I to have two mates, but I am going to have to battle a great evil. An evil more powerful than Nuraku. I just can't help but worry Sango.”

“I know it's a lot to take in Kagome. And I too worry. I just found you again, and I don't want to lose you again.” Sango told Kagome as she sat down next to her against the tree. “No matter what happens, I will always be here for you Kagome.” Sango promised.

“As I will always be for you.” Kagome solemnly promised.

They sat in companionable silence for a while, before Kagome remembered something. “Sango, you have a mate right?”

“Yeah.” Sango replied wistfully.

“Who is he?” Kagome asked curious.

“I have not seen him in over four hundred years.” Sango said sadly. “We were separated when the barriers between the Nigenki and the Makai were made.”

“Have you looked for him?” Kagome asked.

“For over four hundred years.” Sango said bitterly. “I have searched for over four hundred years and had not been able to find him. He promised me that he would not harm innocents. He promised that he would not forget me. Yet he has broken both those promises. He does not know me Kagome.” Silent tears made their way down Sango's face.

“How can you be so sure that he has forgotten you. You still have your mark do you not?” Kagome asked as she made her way towards Sango.

“Yes I still have his mark. But I have recently been reunited with him, and he looks upon me as if I were a stranger. He does not know who I am. To him I am a stranger.” Kagome put her arms around Sango, offering comfort.

“Who is he Sango?” Kagome asked, wanting dearly to purify the demon who caused her friend such pain.

“He is the forbidden child Kagome.” Sango said quietly.

Kagome stiffened. The only forbidden child she knew of was Hiei. “Hiei.” She whispered.

“Yes, Hiei.” Sango confirmed. “Why does he not know me Kagome? How could that be possible?”

“I don't know Sango, I don't know. But we Will find out.” Kagome promised.

*Hiei, are you there?* Kagome asked in a cold voice.

*She is lying. There is no way I could have a mate. I would remember.* Hiei said coldly.

*She does not lie. Can you say in all honesty that she is not your mate.* Kagome asked.

For some unknown reason, Hiei could not deny that Sango is his mate. *No I cannot. But how is it possible Miko. If what she says is true, then all this time alone, all the things I've done. Why do I not know her?” He asked in anguish. Hiei was torn in two. His mind said clearly that if he had a mate, he would remember. But his heart, his heart felt such anguish at the thought of denying Sango. His heart remembered her.

*I don't know Hiei, but we will find out. If you would let me I would like to search your Jagan.* Kagome said.

*If you don't mind Kagome, it is too much to handle just yet. Can we do this later?* Hiei asked. In truth he wanted to see if he could find answers within his own mind.

*Of course. Let me know when your are ready.* Kagome informed him as she kept on consoling Sango.

Yusuke and Kurama were in shock. Their friend had a mate all this time, and he never said anything. Though Kurama suspected that maybe Hiei did not remember her.

*Youko, is it possible for Hiei not to remember his own mate?* Kurama asked his counterpart.

Youko slowly thought about how that could be and only could come up with one explanation. *It is possible, but he must have met her before he had the Jagan implanted. Once he had the Jagan implanted, then there are only two ways in which he could have forgotten.*

*And that is?* Kurama asked impatiently.

*Either the Jagan hid those memories of his mate for some reason, or the doctor who implanted the Jagan locked them away where the Jagan could not reach.* Youko replied.

Kurama thought about this. It did seem plausible. *For my friend's sake, I hope he is able to acquire those memories back.*

*I do too Red, I do too.* Youko said softly.

“Don't you dare say anything about this.” Hiei warned them, before he took off.

“Come on Sango, Genkai is back.” Kagome told Sango. She wanted to get her friend's mind off of Hiei for the moment.

When they entered the house it was to find a pacing Genkai. “Hello Genkai.” Kagome greeted.

Genkai stopped pacing and looked at Kagome and Sango. “Good you're here. I have something I need to tell everyone. Sango would you please go and get everyone. Kagome would you please contact Hiei?” Genkai asked them.

“UH, okay.” Sango said as she turned to look for everyone.

*Hiei, Genkai has something she wants to say to all of us. Will you please come back. Oh and if you see those two idiots, let them know to come too.” Kagome told him.

*Hn.* Was all he said as he went back and collected the two idiots of Kagome's.

Once everyone was present Genkai took in a deep breath. “An old friend has requested a favor of me. This favor includes all of you. There is a meeting in the Makai and she had been summoned to bring all her friends who know of demons. Her friends who know of demons are also required to bring all their friends who also know of the existence of demons. Since you all know of demons, and I consider each of you friends, I am asking if you would join me in my journey to the Makai. The Makai is not a safe place, but I have been promised that no harm will come to you. Keiko, Shizuro, you both are also invited to come.” Genkai asked of them.

“Of course I will come Grandmother.” Kagome quickly replied.

“As will I.” replied Kurama.

“Do you need to ask.” Yusuke said.

“Hn.” Meaning yes, from Hiei.

“This sounds like fun.” From Keiko.

“Why not?” Shizuro said.

“I will come as well.” Yukina replied.

“The Mighty Kuwabara would not miss this.”

“I'm in.” Said a hyper Boton.

“I will accompany you as well.” Higaro replied.

“I would be honored to accompany you.” Miroku said.

“I wouldn't miss it.” Sango said.

Genkai's eyes shimmered at all these people who put their trust so easily in her. If she had any doubts about them considering her a friend, they were just erased. She had spent so much time alone, that it felt good to finally be around those who honestly cared about her.

“Hn. We leave in two days. Be prepared. You all have that much time to pack.” Was all Genkai would say as she promptly left the room before she made a spectacle of herself. Besides, she only had two days to get everything in order. She was going to have to call the school and informed them of Kagome's new illness. Kagome would again be missing school.

Sorry, sorry, sorry. So sorry it took so long to update. These characters are being stubborn. So what do you think of this chapter. Any good. Not as much humor as the last ones but oh well. This chapter was mainly needed to set some things in motion. Such as Kagome's mates, Sango and Hiei, and the important meeting in the Makai. Needed to set it up so that the good stuff could come. Like the long awaited Reunion. Oh, in case anyone is wondering, Jin and Touya will soon be making an appearance. If not in the next chapter then the one after that one. Now time to thank my readers from Mediaminer.org and Adultfan.nexcess.net/aff

Hiei1969: Thank you for your review. It really does me good to hear that you like my comedy scenes. I hope you were also able to enjoy this chapter. Not as much Humor, but will try to add some more next chapter.

Evangeline_lily: Thanks for the review. I really love reading reviews that let me know how much people enjoy my stories. I am glad that you thought my story is so funny. I do try.

PastelStar: Sorry it took so long to update. Went out of town for the weekend last week and it totally messed up my writing schedule. Thanks you for your review. As to whether Genkai is Shippo's granddaughter, well what do you think. Is it even possible. I am trying to bring Sango and Hiei back together, so hopefully within the next chapter. If not the one after that. Sango deserves some happiness.

Adultfan reviews:

Ryukotsusei: Thank you for your review. I really do enjoy them. I do try with the humor, I hope you were able to enjoy this chapter as well though. Next chapter should be something though.

Anon: Darn you are good in guessing games. Thanks for your review by the way. Miroku and Keiko are a pairing in this fic. Though I am making Miroku a bit less Lecherous, well to other women. He will be doing a lot of groping to keiko though. That should be interesting. As for shippo, rin, and Genkai. You may be right, I refuse to answer on that one on the fact that you'll find out for a fact in either the next chapter or the one after. I think the next chapter. Not sure yet. Hope you liked this chapter and will try to update as soon as I can.

Kagomeangel13: Thank you for your review. I tried to update as soon as I could, but well don't blame me. It was Hiei's fault. He didn't want to come out this time. *whispers* He feels bad about forgetting Sango and is pouting. “I do not pout.” (Hiei states) *Looking for an escape route.* “Uh oh, gotta go. Not smart to make him angry. *Authoress runs away from angry cute little demon.* *Little demons follows, determined to make authoress pay for actually suggesting that he pouts.* (Authoress starts whispering) Hope you liked this chapter will try to update later.

Purp1ebabe: Thank you for your review, I really do appreciate it. Yeah I think Kagome might have went a bit overboard, but there is no reasoning with an angry Kagome. You try calming her down. It's not pretty. Hope you like this chapter and will try to update soon.
