A black haird girl sat staring at the Higurashi shrine. Her eyes, once a briliant shade of blue, were sad and empty.

The shrine before her lay in ruins. It had all happened just a few days before. One of Naraku's minions had gotten through the well and had killed her family and set her house on fire. She didn't even know it was happening. She had gotten there and there were fire trucks parked out front. She had no idea what happend to the youkai, but she didn't care. She lost her entire family and now had to live with her grandmother.

A shivering in her arms brought Kagome out of her thoughts. She looked down. In her arms lay her little kitsune. 'Shippo' she thought. 'Poor kit, he needs me to be strong.' 'We've been through alot the last few days. I still can't belive it. I wish It was all just a nightmare, but........' She sighed.

They had beeten Naraku just yesterday and the jewel had gone back into kagome's body. Today Inuyasha attacked Sango and Miroku killing them, then went after her and shippo. He wanted the jewel so that he could become completely youkai. She started to run with shippo in her arms. He had almost gotten them when Sesshoumaru saved them. He told them to run. That brings them to now, next to the Higurashi ruins.

Kagome glanced next to her showing acknowledgment to the figure next to her. It was an old women with faded pink hair. She was wereing a chinese fighting kimono."Come Kagome. Its time we got home" said the woman who then started to walk away.

Kagome gave the shrine one last look, got up, shifted shippo a little ,and folowed the old woman.
