Disclamier: I don't own Kurama and the Yu-Yu gang, or Naraku, but I do own Raven. DO NOT USE HER WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! I REPEAT DO NOT USE HER WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!!

A young, beautiful woman stood in the everlasting gaze of the moon and the dancing of flames by her bedside. The light echoed over her face, as it slowly reveled her wonderous features. Embeded into her face was the gentle pressence of kindness and love. Her hair was a soft silver that glowed through the night and was streaked with an icey, blue flare. Her eyes were the sapphire ocean that sparkled when the awaking sun appeared over the lip of waves. They held all the emotins within her and no matter how hard she tried they just seemed to over flow with her feelings. They mostly showed her uncertanties of who she was and who she was not, the lest she evered showed was trust to someone. She had been hurt so many times she eventually learned no one was worthy of her trust. Her lips were the soft color of a lotus flower and her fangs of pearly white.
Her body was what always drew male demons to her and how she loved it and hated it at the same time. She curved in all the right places and had a small frame to her. She wore a shot, blue tanktop, that showed off her priced navel, and tight, black, leather pants, that were cut low to her hips. She also wore a bluish-silver cloak that always rested at her sholders.
She had all the major class weapons on her, (for safty reasons, if you believe that). Tucked away from sight a silver rose was hidden in the locks of her hair. In the sleeves of her shirt were two blades screwed onto a peice of metal that wrapped around her arms and wrists. Around her waist was a whip specialy made to look like a belt. At her hips were two sheated kantnas that glowed a dismale light blue. Finally in her boots were two carefully hidden daggers.
She really had everything, power, fame, and happiness, but she had no idea of who she really was. Can you really call that happiness, going through your whole life not knowing a single thing about yourself and by the time you find out it's to late, because your on your deathbed! Her mother was the same way, she never found out who she really was, she never found out her pourpase for being in this world. For if you want to know why your here, you must first have an identity.
So this story is about finding your trueself, even if you try a few things you'll regret. Even if you become what you always despised for a while, it will help you find out more about yourself and the person you are at heart.
The young woman tossed and turned in her sleep, she was dreenched in a sea of sweat.was in a different world and people were asking who she was. Her voice was scared and terrified,"Please just leave me alone!" She dropped to the floor and held her ears.
The people turned into flames chanting,"We just want to know who you are. Why can't you tell us?"
She hugged herself tightly and shoke her head, thier words pounding in her ears. Then she whispered,"I don't know."
The flames replied,"How can you not know who you are?" And they started to chuckle amoungest themselves.
She dug her finger nails deeper into her sholders, tears filled her sapphire eyes. Then she yelled,"I just don't know! Why do you keep asking me?!"
They laughed and screeched at the sight of her misary, and one of the larger sparks of flames pointed at her. "Come on even we know your name. Don't you know that, Raven?"
Raven's eyes shot open and she sat up in her bed, she was drinched in sweat as she rubbed her forehead with her palm. She sighed, "Why do I always have these dreams?" Raven fell back onto her pillow and stared at the ceiling. She watched the little white bumps move as she stared harder, one became a powerful horse running into the sun light and another was a cunning fox stealing a pricless treasure. "Well I better get up."
Raven threw the covers off her form and put her feet on the cold linolium. Shivers ran a race up and down her spine. After the moment passed, she contiued to her bathroom. Raven looked in the mirror and saw her reflection, her silver fox ears were now visble, and she bared her pearly white fangs, as she bit her lip. Raven hung her head and gripped the edges of the white counter top. Her razor sharp claws left deep marks in the paint, by several more next to them. She peared into the mirror to she herself once more, she placed her hand upon her scarlet cheek and sighed again.
Raven could hear the phone's ring pounding in her ears as they twitched from the new sound.walked out the bathroom and back into her bedroom and saw her silver phone vibrating, slamming up and down on her nightstand. Raven answered the phone and inched it slowly up to her ear. She spoke a mornful hello.
Raven was replied with the screaming of her boss. "RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAVVVVVVVEEEEEEEENNNNNN! WE NEED YOU DOWN HERE PRONTO! ROUND UP YUSKA AND THE GANG IMMEDIATLY!!!!"
Raven was just about to talk, but there was a long ring, then the sound of the operator. "If you would like to make a call please hang up and try again later."
Raven placed it back on the reciver and picked it up and called, Yuska, Kurama, Hiei, and Kuwabara. She told them that Koenma wanted them in Spirit World and to hurry up about getting there. They all said they would be there, so she got dressed, opened a portal to the world, and stepped inside of it.
Raven walked slowly into Koenma's office, her foot steps echoed as everyone turned to see her come late. Koenma sucked on his pacifier intensly, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN????!!!!!!!"
Raven contined to walk into the office and leaned in her usual place on the wall beside Kurama's seat. Then she bowed low to the ground, "I'm sorry my lord, I was held up." Raven really wasn't, she just liked to take her time and see Koenma get mad.
Koenma stood up in his leather chair. "Well what held you up is your buissness, just make sure you get here on time the next time I call you here. Understand?"
Raven raised back up to her full height and nodded her head. "Yes my Lord, I understand."
Yuska whispered to Kuwabara. "She's the one who told us to hurry, if she's gonna do that then she should at least come on time."
Hiei shoke his head in aggrement, "Yes for the first time in history I agree with the two idiots."
Kuwabara yelled, "Hey! I'm not the idiot you are"
Hiei narrowed his red eyes. "Really? I think your just to stupied to relize how imbecilice you truly are."
Kuwabara huffed, "Well at least I'm not short!"
Hiei put his hand on his sword," You will be if I cut you down to size" He cuckled, " Maybe just a little lower so I can looked down upon you."
Kurama stopped the fight." Hiei put away your sword and Kuwabara he really didn't mean it."
Kuwabara crossed his arms and turned his back to Hiei. "Whatever."
Hiei took his hand away from the sheath to his sword and just had to add to the conversation. "You know Kuwabara you never should turn your back on an assassin."
Raven had enough so she stepped behind Hiei while he was gloting and put her dagger to his neck. Hiei stared at her coldly and Raven sneared. "Yes and you Hiei should never turn your back on a Black Gaurd. Epecially when she's pissed off about something." The glare on Hiei became more treating and cold. Raven was never afraid of threats and she nevered bothered to look directly into her prey's eyes.
Hiei pulled her coller close to his face,"Let me go, now."
Raven jurked the blade away, but made sure there was a mark left after the removal.
Koenma shoke his head hoplessly, "You need to learn to trust each other!" He put his hands in to the air, "Your on a team and team members don't fight!"
Yuska scoffed, "Please Koenma, we're no team." He quickly blew the hair from his hazel eyes. "So don't give me that bull."
Raven wismically glanced over to Kurama's direction, she took in his gorgeous features. The long fire red hair, the color of an angry sunset, and his amazing, intellegant, emerald eyes. She could feel her legs turning into mush and she couldn't help, but let out a sigh. No one seemes to notice or they didn't want to say anything. Raven shoke her head and snapped back to reality. "So Koenma... why did you call us here?"
"Ya, don't you know we have better things to do?" Yuska rapidly added, with Kuwabara snickering in the back ground.
"Idiots." Hiei brought up a rude coment, just to get on Kuwabara's nervous.
"Hey! What was that half-pint?" Kuwabara thundered as he balled up his fists.
Yuska giggled as he butted in, "Kuwabara, don't you know hay is for horses?"
&n bsp;  Raven rolled her eyes and turned to Kurama, "Come on lets go get the assignment." She pointed to Koenma with her thumb, " we'll brief them later."
         He nodded, " Good idea."
They walked up the Koenma's desk, Yuska and them still fighting in the background.slammed her hand on his paperwork, "So what do you got for us boss? Another demon that needs his ass kicked back to Spirit World?"
"Yes, it's really a simple deal. No real challenge here." He slapped Raven's hand and gave the paper to her. "There everything you need to know is in there."
"So that's it? Nothing eles you need done?" Raven asked in astonishment, not knowing the point of bringing all of them up there for such a thing. She quickly flipped through the pages, then understood imediatly. She became serious, "Don't worry, we'll take care of it." She grabbed Kurama's arm then ran out the huge double doors into the portal she'd left open.
"What about the others? Don't they need to hear this?" Kurama asked being shoved into the portal.
" No this mission could kill them ,this one is up to me and you." Raven jumped into it. "This monster is like nothing we've ever encountered before. Let's pray we don't die ourselves."
Raven slid the mnillia folder across the table infront of Kurama, then eyed him wearily. " Go ahead, take a look," she jerked her head forward a little, as if giving him permission to do so. Her silver hair streached infront of her face as Kurama gazed in awestuck terror.
"No, it can't be. Not him!" He slammed the folder onto the table, papers and pictures were scuwered along the table. All the photo's were of the same demon. "Naraku...."
Raven nodded as she clutched the table's edges, several marks were engraved into the side, right beside 5 others. Except these were faded and worn from age. "Yes, he's back. We have to defet him once more or the whole world will perish."
"But how does Koenma expect us to kill this monster?" Kurama stood up and began to pace quickly. "IF he's truly back, then he will have a plan, if we were to try that manuver again. There's no way it's possible, unless we do what we did a thousand years ago."
Raven smiled as sweet dripped down her brow. "Do you remember what you always told me, when we were little?" She didn't wait for an answer, "You always told me, 'nothing is impossible, if you believe.'
He grinned slightly, "Yes I do remember that." he sighed, pondering the memories of his past. "The good old days."
Raven tried not to remembor, but they regained life once more in her mind. "I prefer not to think of those times, so please don't talk about them around me."
Kurama gazed at her unbelieveing of what he had just heard. He wanted to know why, but replied, "Very well. So lets get back to the case."
She sat down gracefully, thoughts, and images began to creep from thier prison and back to the major part of her brain. 'Leave me alone!' She thought, 'G back to where you came from.' They ignored her, as they approched faster. Emotions, thoughts, memories flowed and swirled around in her mind. 'Only one person could have awakened those thoughts.' She swallowed deeply, ' Naraku.'
The past was unvieled and began to play over and over, as she relived the horrible nightmares. Blood pooled from a large and criticel wound, her hand flew to cover the gapping hole. Warm liquids ozed through her fingers, as her vision rattled. She collapsed to a knee and glared at her opponite. Panting she inched from the poddle of blood she now stood in.
"Come now Raven. Do you really think you can over power me?" Naraku smirked, "Your covered in blood and wounds and what do I have? Nothing, so I'm at full strength, but you on the other hand are not." He held his arm out, cracking and ripping echoed through humid air, reshapping his bones and muscles. A large, razorsharp sword replaced his hand and forearm, bloodstains covered it dim silver.
Raven gasped and stepped forward, " I will not die this way!" Furry arose inside her and angry boiled in her viens, " DO YOU HEAR ME!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs, " I WONT DIE THIS WAY!" Her chest heaved as she snatched her sword form the ground, next to Kurama's dead corpse. Raven closed his eyes with her fingers and placed a quick kiss on his lips. "I'll avenge you my love, " She mumbled a short prayer for his soul, "Rest in Peace Kurama, I'll love you forever."
She turned her atention back to her prey, "Now you shall cry skarlet tears, just as Kurama cried them for me!" She charged at top speed her blade and heart ready to kill. She slashed, blood drops splattered in the air, as she twirled and doged a counter attack. Raven gentley soared back to her origional spot, again taking her fighting stance.
Naraku screamed as his arms flopped to the ground, as well as his gaurd. This was it, her last chance. Again she rushed him, another scream, and more blood. A head thumped on the earth and desloved into ash, but in her hand she held his beating heart. She stared coldly at it, how could such a creature even have a heart. Such pain and suffering was caused be something that could have been called human. Her nails punctured it, causing waves of red liquid to swim into the sky. Rage filled her sapphire eyes as she crushed it in her palm, shredded skin hung across her hand.
A sence of calmness swept over her, "Is it really over? Is he really dead?" Thunder struck the black sky and rain drops showered the battle stained lands. What was left of the armies, that had come as help, just left. Hot so much as an, 'Are you ok or do you need a place to stay?' After all she had done for the humans, they still hated and despised her. She couldn't really blame them, she loathed them as much as before, but what did they sacrifice to help the fight against Naraku? A few houses, livestock, and some injured villagers, thoses were just material possesions. They had lost nothing compared to her own loss, her only love in the world, along with her best friend. She had lost her very soul and heart when he took his last breath. And them! All they were doing was going about thier way, with these happy faces!
In thier eyes there was nothing more to do, the wagons that had held the useless battle cannons creaked with weakness, as they rode off back to thier villages to inform the wives and children of the good news. Other demons that had come for entertainment watched in awe, from the immense power that Raven was edmitting.
Lighting echoed and flashed, as the ground shoke. "What's going on?!" Fire shot up into the air, trees ignited, and rain drops vaporated. Hell was opening up, "No Kurama!" Raven quichkly leaped through the fire and landed near Kurama's body. she reached out for him, but stumbled backwards as the mud beneth her feet was splitting in two. Once more she tried to reach him, but failed misarably, as more distance was put between them. The flames were devouring the oxygen, Racen coudn't breath, but she needed to reach him. She stood, ignoring the pain of her burning fleash, and she began to soar, but was jerked back to the ground. Viens were wrapping themselves around her legs, she couldn't move.
Her voice was shrill and desperate, "Kurama no!" Raven pounded her fist into the dried mud, it cracked into pieces under the pressure. Tears streamed down her face as she watched helplessly, Naraku slowly stepped uo one stone stairs, right next to Kurama. He picked him up, then turned to Raven.
"Now what do you have? There was silence, "Still nothing.'' His evil laughter filled the night sky, as he began to step back into hell.
The flames started to disburst and the viens released Raven. She rappidly got to her feet and jumped into the hell hole, eady for whatever there was to face her. " I wont let you take him from me Naraku!"
"Raven wake up!" Kurama shoke her vioently, "Raven what's the matter with you!?" She shot up and scanned the room with her eyes, her home, not hell.
She looked over at Kurama, tears still falling down her face, "Kurama......" Raven wrapped her arms around him and hugged him tightly, " I love you so much."
