Unknowingly

Dear Journal,

I've said this before and I'll say it again. Life bites...

Today it seems as if my mom favors the older sibling…namely my brother Souta. It's not fair. I get called stupid, a liar when I am telling the truth, and a bitch. When will this stop? When will I be able to be free? Will I get the see a moment like that? Please…tell me…

~~~
Since that day Kagome found out she had telekinesis she made sure to be extra careful around people. Since that day for some reason her mom was also extra hard on her. Seems it was because her brother Souta came home from college and skipped a semester. However Kagome seemed to be getting worse into her depression. Even her friends are starting to take notice. It started to come out in her poetry, then her stories, then her attitude. They didn't know what too do. And this is where we pick up the story…
Kagome had finished the book on the demon bandit in three days. She was now about to start the Journal, but today she had a feeling she shouldn't. She sighed as she looked at her report card again. Life bites…
"Oh man my mom's going to murder me." She murmured as she walked into Kurama's class room.
"Cheer up Kag, she can't do anything to you…" Sango said sympathetically.
"You know, if she does you can call child services." Rin asked smartly. Her dad was a lawyer…she knew these things.
"I wish it were that easy. My mom will just say it's my fault if I try to say she's been stressing me out too much. I need to go to the damn school physiatrist." Kagome sighed tiredly. She was truly scared of her mom and her friends knew it.
"Alright ladies get into your seats." Kurama said from behind them. Kagome slowly walked over to hers, but was stopped by Kurama. "Not you Higurashi, you come with me…" Kagome blinked as she noticed a substitute went into the class room. Kagome turned around and followed Kurama to his private office.
"Ano...Mr. Minamino what is this about?" Kagome asked nervously.
"Higurashi…have you noticed you dropped your grades considerable in the last couple weeks?" Kurama asked.
"No, gomen Minamino-san." Kagome looked down.
"May I ask what the problem is?" Kurama asked as he leaned on his desk. Kagome looked at the ground and remained silent. He sighed. "Alright Kagome…you may go to class." Kagome nodded and walked out of the office. A few minutes later Sesshomaru and Hiei walked in.
"So fox…is she the reincarnation?" Sesshomaru asked. Kurama shrugged.
"She wouldn't look me in the eye…something's wrong…" He spoke softly. He turned to Hiei. "Did you get anything Hiei?"
"No, somehow she was able to block my Jagan…but from her posture…she seemed afraid." The short man said.
"Afraid? The Kagome we knew was never afraid of anything…" Sesshomaru said.
"Yes, but this might be her reincarnation…and they are not the same." Kurama supplied. "I think we should keep an eye on her…"
"Agreed…" Sesshomaru nodded.
"Hn…"
Kagome sighed and sat down outside by the cherry blossoms tree. She wasn't hungry…she hasn't been for the last couple days. She's been skipping lunch and breakfast a lot. Seems her mother's yelling and her brother's antics got to her and things were turning for the worst. Miroku seemed to noticed this first a couple weeks ago when Kagome didn't get up to get anything to eat for lunch.
Kagome sighed once more and opened the journal she `borrowed' from the library. This was her first time reading it, yet…her heart was pounding against her chest and her hands were trembling. Her eyes scanned the first paragraph.
`This scroll of some kind appeared before me just a couple days ago. It was after I ran into the demon bandit, Youko...who I haven't seen since. I am starting to worry about him. Such an intriguing silver fox youkai, he knew I could sense the Shikon-no-Tama…but he gave me a shard of it. Is it so I can sense him if he's near. Kami-sama…guide me…'
Kagome smiled at the pressed freesia in it. `Freesia must have been her favorite flower…as it is mine…' Kagome thought as she put it back in and turned the page.
`Dear Journal,
I know I haven't written in you for a week but, I've been having strange dreams. A girl…who looks like me and is similar to me yet different, was wounded and bleeding. She was clutching her heart, as she does so…my heart aches. Is it because she is me? Is this a vision….am I that girl? No…if she is me in the future…she must know she will be different. She will be her own person…she will get to experience things I will never. I hope she can forgive me. Never in the stars would I want to place my fate or curse on her. Please, forgive me.'
She smiled and closed the journal. A vision of the future? A vision of me perhaps… Kagome thought as the bell rang. She put the journal away and walked into school. To her last period class, Math. She hated Math…
Kagome waves bye to her friends. She decided to walk home today. Something told her…she was being followed. Kagome stopped and put a hand to her chest. Something…was pulsing…inside of her heart.
"Yamero…" She whispered as she dropped her book bag. "Onegai…someone stop the pain…" She fell to her knees and clutched her chest. Her breathing became labored and shallow.
Kagome…you will be mine yet… "NO!" Kagome screamed and fell to the ground.
"Kag?" Sango ran up to her and knelt down beside Kagome. She gathered Kagome into her arms and stared at her best friend.
Kagome opened her eyes and looked around. Her vision blurred for a second. For a second she thought Sango was wearing a black cat suit with pink armor. She sat up silently and held her head. "Kagome?" Sango asked as Kagome looked at her watch.
"Crap!" Kagome darted up forgetting about what just happened and ran home. Sango watched her best friend run off and sighed.
"Oh Kagome…" She murmured as she stood up. "Why don't you tell anyone? Is it that it had gotten worse since freshman and sophomore year?" She turned and walked off not knowing that a pair of Ruby red eyes were watching and listening to her.
~~~

"Sorry I'm late mom! Sango and I were at the Library!" She lied as she past the living room and went upstairs.

"Alright Honey, do your homework! I have to go, Souta is going to be out for a couple days with his friends they went out skiing. I have to go to work bye honey!" With that her mom rushed out of the door. Kagome came down stairs and looked at the door.

"Bye…mom…" She sighed and walked up into her room again. She knew that the alarm timed the next opening of the door. She, to get out, she goes out through her window. She went into her closet and pulled out a pair of tight blue jeans. Kagome quickly put them on and grabbed her black leather sleeveless lace up shirt. She had a black bra and put that over it. She grabbed her feminine black leather jacket and put on a pair of fingerless gloves. She grabbed a helmet from the top of her closet and opened her window. Her helmet had a black visor and was black with a white fox on it with angel wings. On the back it had Kanji for Nanashi Kuraku on the back. (If ya don't remember what that is it is Nameless Pleasure and Pain)

Kagome climbed out of her window and jumped into the tree across from it. She then climbed down the tree and ran across the yard to a miniature shrine. It was actually a well house. Kagome went inside and pulled a blanket away from over top an object. She kicked the stand up and rolled the object into the light of the moon. It was a black motorcycle with dark blue and dark green designs on it. They were unusual designs, sort of like someone made them up in the past life. She smiled and turned the key that was already in it. She revved the engine and got onto the motorcycle. She turned it around and went down the secret driveway.

A black cloaked person appeared where Kagome just was. He narrowed his Ruby red eyes as he opened a mind link to his partner.

`Did you know that your prized pupil was a drag racer?' He asked his partner.

`Obviously not, but I think I know where I can find the drag racing. Keep tracking her Hiei.' Hiei's partner said as he closed the link. Hiei nodded and disappeared in a blur.

~~~
Kagome kept her visor down as she got to the drag racing area. She rode over to the banker and turned her helmet toward him. He check her out, she was just plainly disgusted.
"For you doll, you can get in for free." The banker said. Kagome nodded curtly to the banker.
"Never call me doll, miste'." She spun her bike around kicking up the rocks at the banker and went into the line. She glanced around at all the guys and snorted. `Pitiful…' She revved her engine and sighed as she waited for the signal. `I can't believe this is the kind of life I lead.' She heard the gun being fired and automatically speeded away from the starting line.
By the time they came to the bridge which was halfway through the course there was only four people left. Kagome weaved past the two people in front of her and speeded into first place. The man behind her did the same.
"End of road Missy. DO IT!" The third placer said. A few people came down from the top of the bridge and threw bottles down. Blue flames erupted upward about 50 yards in front of Kagome and the 2nd placer. Kagome turned back and glared at the person who stopped and blew her a kiss. The other rider was down and his bike was trashed. To make things worse, the bridge started to rise just after the fire.
"Damn my life!" Kagome shouted as she speeded up. The other driver also speeded up as they both were on the incline up the bridge. The other driver glanced at Kagome as she leaned down low to her motorcycle. He watched as she took off at the top a second before him.
He saw Kagome land and swerve around a bit when he landed. He narrowed his eyes as she looked like she was about to loose control of her motorcycle. But instead of loosing control when Kagome swerved right, she turned the motorcycle in a circle then speeded off toward the finish line. Impressed girl… He thought as he raced toward Kagome and caught up to her and hung back by her tail. He let her win the race and collect the prize money.
"'Ey girl, you be back tomorra' ya?" A woman asked. "'ere's dis new rider chick. Che t'ink che can beat ya." (No offense to anyone for the accent.)
"Sure, why not…" Kagome said as man walked up to her, the banker.
"Hey honey, need some cooling down?" He asked. Kagome took off her helmet to reveal a raven blue haired woman with golden eyes with a lavender gleam.
"Sorry Suga' I already have someone…" She spoke in a mature, yet cold voice clearly stating she wasn't one to mess with.
The rider that came in second, stared at Kagome. Her eyes…they were just like hers. His eyes widen as Kagome put her helmet back on and pocketed the money. She revved her engine and headed out of there for tonight. He decided to follow her.
Not soon after he lost her unfortunately. He stopped at a park near the Shrine and took off his helmet. His soft, silver hair cascaded down his back as his golden eyes scanned the area. His silver kitsune ears twitched at every noise in the area.
She smiled as she silent watched as he got off his motorcycle and walked away from it. She crossed the clearing silently and allowed her scent to reach his nose. "Youko-kun…" She whispered lustfully.
"Kagome…" He murmured as she came around the front of him. Her eyes were now a lavender color. "You remember…?" She shook her head.
"No, not my reincarnation. I was able to break through…in this time of hurt and pain." She spoke. "I believe it would be easier if you called me by my clan name Youko dear." She smiled at him.
"Tenjin…" He said. He raised his claw hand hesitantly to her cheek. "Koi…I've missed you."
"And I you…" She leaned into his palm and rubbed her cheek into it. "Kagome…the one who look just like me will not remember anything that happens unless…we were to reenact our most intimate moment." Youko smirked at the mischievous glint in her eyes. "How are you alive?"
"Force my soul into another being 250 years after you died." Youko said as he stared down at her. "How are you here?"
"Her pain, is bring the past to this present…her emotions are similar to mine, whether voiced or hidden. She is hurting Youko…her family is hurting her!" Tenjin cried as she held her chest as something began to pulse.
"Tenjin!" Youko knelt down by her and held her up by her shoulders. "What's wrong?"
"He draws nearer…she will be in a great deal of pain. You must help her!"
"How?"
"Like you did me." She looked up and smiled at him. "Youko-kun, when she does remember, my journal will be complete. Another will show. But this will be filling as you start your new adventure…" The last sentence wasn't heard as she closed her eyes dizzily.
"Tenjin…koi…" Youko held her tightly. She smiled as she leaned up and kissed Youko. She then slackened against Youko unconscious. Youko sighed and turned around to Hiei as he appeared. "Take her home, and leave her in bed. Nothing else you hear me?"
"I hear you fox," Hiei said as he took the unconscious Kagome and disappeared.
~~~

Kagome woke up, it was next day and she was glad she had no school and her mom worked most of the day. She was going to give her mom the report card today. She sighed as she waited most of the day for the right moment.

Kun-loon stared angrily at the report card. "An f and a d!" She yelled. She threw down the report card and marched over to her daughter. She smacked her daughter repeated then pulled her hair glaring at her. "HOW DARE YOU LIE!" Throwing Kagome onto the ground she proceeded to kick her. "You little bitch! You are stupid!" Kagome stayed silent as she endured this. Knowing this was to come she made she could be emotionless. "Go to your fuckin' room and stay there. No coming out of anything!" (I know it sudden but I got plans)

Kagome got up and limped to her room. She heard her mother lock her down from the outside. She took out her diary and began writing in it. She cried as she wrote this, her tears falling onto her writing. She closed it and quickly got changed. She picked up the journal of the other Kagome.

Today…I'm limping for no apparent reason. Youko has left me…I haven't seen him in a long while. Why am I hurting? Is it because the past? When I was abused by my village for my power? I have scars on my back from their weapons. They burnt a cross on my right shoulder while trying to crucify me. I escape. How…why are the old pains emerging now? Where is Youko? My tears spill down my cheek. Why am I crying? Is it cause I'm afraid? Afraid of being alone? Am I that in love? Can I call this love. Amaterasu…the goddess who brings the sun, where are you it's been growing dark lately. HELP PLEASE!

Kagome stared at the book then closed it and hid it as she lied down to sleep. She forced herself to sleep after a while not finding what she wanted. I want a love like Youko…I want someone who will love me and not abuse me. Just a wish…my family doesn't even like me why should a person like Youko?

~~~
The beatings continued like that over the weekend until the first day of school. Kagome wore all black for the first time in her life that day. To hide the bruises of her mistake…or so she believed. She walked down the sidewalk and took the back way to school. Her hair hung around her face. She hid her mistake too well…
In school, she found out that Mr. Minamino had quit abruptly for so odd reason. So did Mr. Jaganshi and Mr. West. Kagome sighed and took this as another mistake blamed on her. The new teachers were peculiar. Mr. Naraku Onigumo, Ms. Kagura Wind, and Ms. Kanna Kagami. Mr. Onigumo replaced Mr. Minamino, Ms. Wind Mr. Jaganshi, and Ms. Kagami Mr. West.
What Kagome didn't notice was the lustful looks that Naraku, or so he allowed the kids to call him, threw her way. She was too immersed in drawing in Lux Veritatis. Sango, Rin, Botan, Miroku, and Yusuke wondered what was wrong with Kagome. Yukina told them to stay out of it, luckily they listened.
But for the rest of the week, they will learn more than they wish to.
