Upon entering the clearing of the hot springs, Inuyasha looked at the monk, his brow arched towards the other male in an intensive care to know why he was dragged so far away from camp, “When are you going to mark, Kamina?” Miroku's voice caught him in his stupor of thinking; blinking a few times he looked towards the monk.

 

“I tried tonight, in her time…But I screwed up, I called her Kagome…” Inuyasha spoke softly towards the end, his eyes showing remorse.

 

“Well, if you don't do something soon, she might come to me…Or Kouga for that matter, Inuyasha; you're losing her, even if you don't want to be. Your actions are pushing her away from you, it's reminding me entirely too much of how you were with Kagome” Miroku stated to Inuyasha, his face taking on a serious tone, the playful twinkle in his eyes fading to serious also.

 

“I know…I don't want to lose her, and I know full well how I'm acting…It's just so confusing, I want her, I think I love her…But I don't know, I don't know if she loves me back or not.” Inuyasha's brow furrowed, as he spoke, his eyes changing from regretful to hurt and confused. Miroku watched the change of Inuyasha's eyes, shaking his head just slightly.

 

Stepping up to the hanyou, he placed a firm hand on his shoulder, giving it a light squeeze of reassurance, “I believe, she's confused on your feelings for her, and the way you acted tonight…Didn't help in the matter. She wants you to love her, yet she's scared you'll push her to the side for someone else; much like those years with Kagome.”

 

Inuyasha stiffened at the monks words, he knew that they were true; no denying that. With that, the two males stripped of their clothing and waded into the spring, the warm water coming to be a generous help to their aching muscles.

 

Inuyasha and Miroku, propped themselves back against the giant rock in the middle of the spring. Their senses dulling as they relaxed due to the warm caress of the water against their flesh, unbeknown to them, Kuronue had been coming to check up on Youko, and had heard the whole conversation.

 

`So the runt's planning on bedding the girl, `eh...I should just bed her, but that wouldn't be fair to Youko, he wants her…' Kuronue had been thinking about the girl also, he had to admit, she was a delectable little creature to his eyes, and he wanted her to an extent; but his friend comes first, rather than the desire to impale the girl on his shaft.

 

Flittering himself back to the hideout he shared with Youko, he made himself comfortable. Whilst he was flying away, he heard the other two males get up and redress, then head back to the village.
