[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
A/N- First off I will say this once again, Disclaimer- I do not own, have never owned, and will never own InuYasha or Yu Yu Hakusho.
Next, I would like to apologize for the wait, it is, I promise you, very unlike me to take so long. I will however defend myself by saying I was `out' with appendicitis, I no longer have an appendix. I wrote an ode(poem) about it for my English class, e-mail me if you want to read it.
And furthermore I would like to thank, from the depths of my heart, the two people who reviewed this story, loretta537 and my3rdeyes. This chapter is dedicated to the two of you for being such wonderful people.
&nb sp; Now, on to the story.
Enter Higurashi
She knew it, the second that Botan arrived, almost literally on her doorstep, that she was in for something big. One thing she hadn't guessed was just how big it really was, but what she did know is that she was determined again. Although she wasn't her old self, she doubted that she ever would be again, she had something she was striving for and she wouldn't allow herself to die until her task had been completed.
Where Botan had taken her she hadn't known at first, but she would from now on, Spirit World. Kagome was taken directly to Prince Koenma, she was hardly frightened, she'd seen worse than this little baby and his binky. Hell, she'd seen other babies much more terrifying, ones that had tried to kill her, so she wasn't worried. Well, that was up until he opened his mouth.
Then there's now, Kagome has just recently been informed that although she may have saved the world frequently, she had a new mission, and two `crimes' to pay for. The first was, bringing harm to an ancient and sacred relic, and the other time traveling without a `permit'. Isn't that cute? She didn't try to get herself dragged down a magical well and into the past, but obviously it's her fault.
Anyway, she had a mission to complete, crimes or no crimes. She was to go `undercover' and find someone who was attending Sarayashiki High that accounted for peculiar spikes in spiritual energy surrounding the area. Now that she was back she supposed it would only be right for her to be thankful for this opportunity to return to high school. She missed so much from her time in the Feudal Era that she wasn't allowed to continue attendance at her previous school. How lovely this will turn out to be.
Kagome supposed she should be happy that she had managed to hone her spiritual ability back in the past before returning to this, back then it was much easier to apply it. Kagome had also discovered, well pried from Botan, is that her past self was now a legend and she was often referred to as the High Priestess of the Feudal Era. Never had she realized that her wish for the peace and happiness of the world in place of herself had erected the barriers between the worlds, the reasoning behind the 'lack' of demons being of her own doing. I suppose it was only to be expected. Had it been Kikyo none of this would have happened. None of it.
Kagome recalled the first time she had ever met Botan, yes it seemed almost fresh in her mind.

The group was gathered as Kagome returned from purifying the miasma out of Kikyo. Kagome stumbled back into camp to find a hovering girl, surrounded by the group. It seemed Inuyasha would lash out any minute. Readying her bow Kagome walked within hearing distance.
“I mean no harm I am only searching for the Great, Lady Priestess that travels among this group. I only wish to speak to Lady Kagome.” The girls said, from her tone, and the looks on Miroku and Sango's faces, she had repeated herself several times already.
“Yes?” Kagome called out, “I'm right here. What is it that you need, and why look for me?” the young priestess questioned.
The girl dropped sown off of her oar and bowed low before Kagome. “My Lady, I am here for two reasons. One a question and the other advice.” she paused, “I am Botan, the Grim Reaper.”
“Why on earth is it that you need me Botan, and please, none of this `Lady' stuff.” The girl from the future muttered.
“Why, My Lady, is it that you continue to, time after time, return the dead to the living.” Botan asked. “Kikyo-san was supposed to die, though it isn't necessary, it's probable. She should be dead, yet you let her live. Why?” She finished.
“Simple, everyone deserves a chance to live, and without a clear reason as to why not, I don't see a reason for her to be cheated out of life..” Kagome stated calmly and clearly, but not without pause.
Botan bowed lower, “Such wise words from one lacking the age behind them, my only other job, My Lady, is to tell you, start preparing now, the final battle is coming.”
Kagome heard Botan, but chose to ignore it for now. “Botan, surely you'll join Sango ans myself at the springs?”
------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------
Botan's path crossed with Kagome many a times, and the two became closer, Botan was their friend and a new ally. Kagome only wished they had met up again under better circumstances.
-------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------
“Class, today we have a new student, Miss Kagome Higurashi. Miss Higurashi please introduce yourself.” Yusuke's teacher motioned to the petite girl with raven hair who stood by the door, wearing the school uniform, great good girl.
----------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------
Kagome found herself standing in front of a class of students, some eager to listen, a few annoyed, and some who simply didn't care. She stood tall and proud, “My name is Kagome Higurashi, I'm not the brightest, but I previously missed school frequently do to illnesses.” Thank goodness for that excuse, it's perfect for getting out of here quick if need be. “I Live on the Sunset Shrine, have a younger brother, and enjoy gardening.” That's all I've got, so I suppose that they'll just have to live with it.
“Thank you Miss Higurashi, please take the empty seat in front of Urameshi, would you?”
Urameshi? As in the so-called`punk' that saved a kid? That Urameshi? Wow, take a look at his energy and that red-heads,they're both at high levels, this will be an interesting year.
A/N- Thanks for reading, I appreciate it. Thanks again to loretta537 and my3rdeyes for reviewing, this one was for you. Oh, and Loretta, What do you think about her meeting Botan?
Please review!
