Kurama was once sgain walking through a dark forest. He'd finished the cure, and went back to InuYasha's time. He was following Sesshomaru's scent. His life energy was almost gone. Kurama sped up. He came to a cave at the edge of the forest.

 

"Leave this place!" A voice called.

"Jaken? It's Kurama."

"Kurama? What are you doing here?" Jaken asked coming out of the shadows.

"I have the cure for Sesshomaru."

"Come! Hurry then! He's not doing so well!"

Jaken led him deep into the cave. Sesshomaru was laying next to a fire. When Kurama touched his forehead he was ice cold, but sweating a river.

"Sesshomaru wake up." Kurama said pulling him into a sitting position and resting his head on his shoulder.

"Kurama?"

"Inu sent me with the cure. You're going to be ok. Drink this."

"Now what do we do?" Jaken asked.

"We wait until he's strong enough to go to the future. He'll recover better there, and I can keep an eye on him."

 

TWO DAYS LATER...

 

Jaken went to the village to tell Rin that Sesshomaru was well. She was married the year before and is now with child so couldn't come see him.

 

"Kurama I'm not going to you're time." Sesshomaru said.

"Why not?"

"I can't face my brother like this. I'm not supposed to be the weak one. I'm the full blood."

"You're sick not weak, and he knows that."

"I don't get sick. Weaklings get sick."

"Not true. I get sick."

"You've always been weaker than me."

"Yes, but one of the strongest demons in the Makai. Listen your brother went and got me, put his life in danger, and lost his love to cure you. I think he wants to see you alive. Weaker than usual, but alive."

"How did he lose Kagome?"

"She was killed when we went to go get the herbs for the cure."

"When do we leave?"

"As soon as Jaken gets back."

 

8:00p.m Genkai's temple

 

Botan and Sango were banging on Inuyasha's door trying to get him to come out and eat.

"Go away!"

"Halfling get out here so these girls will stop yelling!"

"Sesshomaru I don't have to listen to you! You can go away too!"

"Don't make me come in there!"

"I'm not coming out!"

Sesshomaru opened the door, and went in. It wasn't locked. Inuyasha was sitting with his back to him.

"Are you still crying over the human wench?" Sesshomaru's voice was hard, but his expression soft.

"Don't call her that!"

"Why'd you put her in danger if you cared so much about her?"

"I wasn't thinking about her right then."

"You swore to protect her always. That means you have to think about her always, so what was so important that you forgot your promise?"

"You."

"What?"

"The only thing I was thinking about was that you didn't have much time and we needed to hurry. I didn't want to lose you."

"Why? I've tried to kill you countless times."

"You're my brother. I've always looked up to you. I've always wanted to be as strong as you. Stronger really so that you would be proud to call me your brother even though I'm just a halfling. You're the only family I have left, so no mater how much you hate me I still love you. It's the human side of me. I hate it."

"Turn around and face me."

"No."

"Why?"

"If i do you won't be there. I'm talking to myself again. Why do you think I said all of that? The real Sessohmaru would kill me if I told him that I love him."

Sesshomaru walked to Inu and kneeled in front of him so they were eye level.

"You did tell me and I didn't kill you. I'm not going anywhere Inu. I'll always be right here. Now go eat so they won't think that I've killed you."

"Fine, but I won't like it."

"Inu."

"Yea?"

"I love you too little brother."

Inuyasha just smiled at him before leaving.

'Damn I'm getting soft!' Sesshomaru thought.
