Chapter 3
Inuyasha was fuming. Kagome had come back for one hour just to say she'd be back in two days and she still hadn't shown up. He wanted to go down the well and drag her back with him, but Sango and Miroku wouldn't let him.
"Let her come back on her own Inuyasha." Sango was sitting next to Kaede in her hut. Shippo was in her lap asleep.
Miroku nodded wisely, "You always make her come back, let her choose when to come back this time."
He crossed his arms over his chest, "Fine gang up on me. The stupid bastard known as my brother hasn’t ever come back yet.”
"Perhaps Kouga gets on his nerves as much as he does yours. Besides I've never seen Sesshoumaru look mad and he was mad when he left."
Sango nodded, agreeing with the monk. "Whatever Kouga was talking about set Sesshoumaru off like nothing I've ever seen before. Truthfully Sesshoumaru frightened me at that moment."
"Yeah," Miroku agreed, "the other times we've fought him were nothing like with Kouga. At that moment I thought how easy it would be for Sesshoumaru to kill us. I mean if he really wanted us dead we wouldn't be sitting here talking about it now."
"Well," Inuyasha said, drawing everyone's attention, "I guess you guys finally figured out how strong he is."
"What do you mean Inuyasha?"
"No one understands just how strong he is. I never took out fights very serious. What was the point when I knew if he wanted me dead he'd kill me instead of playing around like usual."
Sango looked at him in wonder, "Wow Inuyasha, I never would have thought that you would admit he's stronger than you."

Sesshoumaru was standing behind a line of trees watching Kagome. She was sitting on the well, waiting; waiting for him. He couldn't catch her scent, it was gone.
Kagome could smell him. Now that his scent was easy for her to smell she loved it. He smelled like the forest, like the flowers that Rin was always picking, and like the deadly youkai that he was. She waited for him to come over to her like she always had.
He stepped out of the trees and started walked towards her. Sesshoumaru stopped when he stood at the opposite side of the well, her back was facing him.
She smiled, "Hello Sesshoumaru." Kagome stood up and turned around. "Sorry I was gone so long."
"I just got back myself."
"Where did you go?"
"Hunting."
"Oh." He told her about that one time before. Sesshoumaru said he only hunted when he was angry. "What happened after I left?"
"The wolf went on and on about you being his mate. He was a pain in the ass. I made him leave then left as well."
Kagome breathed a sigh of relief. She had thought he and Inuyasha got into a fight. She looked Sesshoumaru in the eyes, "I'm sorry about leaving so suddenly before. It's just that what you said really hurt. I-I have been keeping a secret from you Sesshoumaru, for quite a while. It seems I fell in love with you sometime during the times we would meet. I'm not sure when, but I have."
Sesshoumaru looked stunned at first, and then he smirked, "That's interesting. Before I came back I thought about the wolf's claims and decided that I don't want to lose you to anyone else. So I made a decision."
"What?"
"I present my suit to you, Kagome, guardian of the Shikon no Tama." His voice held no tone of deceit or cruelty. "I want you to be my mate Kagome."
"Are you sure you want a human as the Lady of the West?" She lowered her head and hid her eyes.
Sesshoumaru hooked a finger under her chin and lifted her head, "I do not care if you are human or not. I want you because of who you are, not what you are."
Tears ran from Kagome's eyes. She launched herself at Sesshoumaru and hugged him tightly. "There's something you need to know first." She pulled away from him and dropped his concealing spell.
He couldn't believe it, she was an inuyoukai like him. Sesshoumaru smiled at her, "You're beautiful Kagome." He leaned in and kissed her hungrily.
Kagome moaned into his mouth. She had missed this, the closeness with Sesshoumaru was important to her. She slid her arms around his neck and pulled him closer to her.
Sesshoumaru pulled her flush against his body. When he let his frustrations out he pulled away from her. "Do you accept my suit?"
"Yes, of course I do." She hugged him. "I have to tell the others."
"About you being my mate?"
"No, not yet. But I do have to tell them about me being a youkai." She looked up into his eyes, "Thank you Sesshoumaru."
"For what?"
"For making me feel wanted. Before it felt like I was in the way of everyone, but you made me see how important I am."
Sesshoumaru's eyes shone with love, "Come we must return to your friends." He slid his hand into hers and they walked back to the village hand in hand.

Sorry about the whole not updating thing. The thing is this story in written in a notebook, so I have to type it out and I don't type that fast when I have to look at something. Big problem, it sucks. I am trying but I am getting nowhere. Thanks for waiting so long! ^.^ Reviews are appreciated!
