Stronger than Yesterday

She lies down and cries
As everything that she has done to get here
Falls apart,
Right in front of me
The light in the star
That used to shine
So bright and guide
Her way is dying out
And she's crumbling
Down
Asking god, “Why!?”
She shouted to the heavens above,
“Can't I not cry?!”
 
She howls with the wolves
When the moon comes out
Hoping that the broken words
That spill from her pale lips
Reach that of a person who
Cares…
Hoping that they will
Reach someone who won't leave her stranded…
 
She prowls through the lonely woods
With nothing but
Broken hopes and dreams
Guiding her towards a new life
Misguided faith and trust
On top of
A broken heart guides her
to becoming more stronger then ever
Before
The only light coming,
From the glowing moon,
Is light the path of Roses.
