The Broken Angel

The day was wet and muddy from all the past days rain. The group had just succeeded in destroying Naraku, and all the demons he controlled were now free to roam. Giving in to his love for Kagome, inuyasha decided to leave the jewel in the protection of her and Kaede. Kohaku's freedom, however, was short lasting. Naraku had removed the shard to make the jewel whole. Now all that matter was destroying what was left of Naraku's demons. Besides, the loss of Kohaku the group was happy for it to be all over. Only lately, Kagome had seemed quieter than usual though she claimed nothing was wrong.

 

The other day she had told Sango that she was afraid to return to her own world. Now that Naraku was dead and the jewel. What was her reason to stay here? The only advice Sango could give her was to do what she thought was best. Although that didn't help much, Kagome decided t visit the present as soon as they got back to Kaede's village. She could always go and not tell her family, its not like they would ask anyway.

Kagura stalked trees through a forest with a sorrowful emotion. The mist that lingered through it was hot and humid. Happy to have her freedom, she wasn't happy about the loss of her elder sister. The elimination of Kanna by that exterminator was baring a hole in her soul. The dark side of her soul longed for revenge, though her relation with the mortals and that hanyou was over. Now that she was free she had no reason to still communicate with them. Her true intention, at the moment, was the find the youkai that helped defeat Naraku. The youkai she had a deep desire to see. The one youkai she somehow knew she could trust. Sesshomaru.

 

“Inuyasha, when is Kagome going to return from her world?” The young fox demon asked as if tired of being around Inuyasha.

 

 

“why the hell are you asking me?” The hanyou's attitude was full of impatience. It had been a whole week since Kagome left foe her time. Inuyasha's gone to seen her but was always at school.

 

“you're the only one who can go through the well, so get her already” Shippo's patience was running out. He hadn't seen his “mom” in a week and inuyasha wasn't at the top of his good list.

 

He was about to say anther word when a fist came slamming on his head. “owww…..that hurt…..you big meanie.”

 

“shut up”

 

“your plain mean, and evil”

 

“ugh, just shut up” Getting annoyed of the little fox he stormed of into the well.

 

~1998 Present time ~

 

DDDDDDDDDRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGG

 

“OK class, that's it for today. Hope you a great weekend! Oh and don't forget your projects are due next week, and study for your finals”

 

Now that Kagome had returned to her own tome, she already wished she hadn't. it seemed like nothing but finals. `I guess this gives me the chance to catch up on everything' Kagome thought.

 

“Hey what the matter, Kagome?” Yuka asked

 

“nothing really, it just that…. I just got back and I have to cram all this stuff in my head.”

 

“well lets go to Wc Donalds and eat, then you'll feel better”

 

“ Besides its no big deal, school is actually really easy!” Eri said confidently but only getting weird looks back.

 

“ugh” Kagome started walking ahead.

 

“Was it something I said?” asked Eri

“Look kagome if you really want to catch up yuka, ayumi and I will help you”

 

“Thanks Eri, I don't really have a choice!” kagome said. Only right when Eri started to speak, a red blur went across kagome's eye through the window.

 

“inuyasha?” kagome whispered

 

“Did you say something”

 

“huh?….oh nothing.Will you excuse me?be right back.” Kagome got up and walked to the door when, sure enough,she saw Inuyasha in front of her.

 

“There you are I've been……..”

 

“Inuyasha! What the hell are you doing here?”

 

“I came to get you.You were taking so damn long to return.”he yelled

 

“what does it matter to you? Its not like we have any shards to find”she yelled back.

 

“well Shippo won't shut the hell up”

 

“he's just a kid inuyasha,GIVE IT A REST”

 

“hy do you always side with that brat?”

 

“he isn't a brat”

 

“OPEN YOUR EYES WOMAN”As much as she wanted to say “sit” she knew it cause a scene.This petty fighting went on untill kagome saw Yuka in the corner of her eye.

 

“look inuyasha I'll be back after my projects are due.” She said trying to reason with him.

 

“And when will that be?”

 

“who cares the piont is I'll be back soon!”

 

“ugh… fine”With that he took off just as Yuka came through the door.

 

“kagome?”Realizing yuka was behind her she turned around, made up an accuse and headed home.

 

~1498 shengoku judai~

 

The young fox demon sat beside the well when a pink,purple light appeared.

 

“KAGOME”Shippo screamed “YOUR BA…..”only instead he saw Inuyasha. “oh,it's only you”

 

“shut up”

 

“wheres kagome?”shippo asked

 

“shes staying a lttle longer”Just then Miroku and Sango walked up. “Inuyasha, your back” Sango said picking kelala of the ground.

 

“Is kagome back yet?”asked Miroku

 

“she's staying longer cause inuyasha'a a big meanie face” The fox demon said storming off oward the village,as Miroku and Sango turn to Inuyasha.

 

“Don't Ask”

~3 weeks later~

(poisonkiss:Over the period of time kagome has come back twice.And I didn't mention this before but the jewel is whole except for 3 shards.the two in kouga's legs and another that Kagura posesses)

Kagura had finally given in to her darkside.She was going to take revenge on the demon slayer.Walking through the cold morning mist in search for a small shrine she finally foud her destination. `that wench is gonna regret the day she killed kanna' She thought to herslef `with this shard I shall make myself even more powerfull'

 

In the darkness of the room,only two candles made light with a small table btween them.After laying the shard on the table kagura took her fan and slit her rist. Letting her blood drip onto the jewel,the shard began to turn dark red.So dark it almost lokked black.Soon after her rist stop bleeding she inserted the shard to her chest.Unfortionately, what she wanted to happen did't.

 

As the shard moved into her heart she screamed out in pain.She felt as if her heart was splitting on two.Suddenly two balst of light were coing from Kagura's body. A white light and a alck light. The blasts of light swirled around her as she screamed in pain.The light covered the room blinding anyone who looked.Shinning brighter,brighter,and then slowly fading,causing smoke.

 

`what the hell just happened to me?'kagura's mind was rasing in thoughts. `where the heck am I?'Trying to peek through the smoke she failed to see anything.She could faintly see two small lights starring at her. As the smoked began to clear, she realized that the lights were actually eyes.Once the room was almost crysatl clear she saw the figure the eyes belonged to,herself.It was like looking into a mirror only the other kagura was wearing a black yukata with red disigns.

 

Every emotion was hitting Kagura at the same time except hate,anger,revenge,or any dark thought.

 

“who are you”kagura demanded.

 

“I'm you,well sort of”her other self replied

 

“What the hell is that suppose to mean?”

 

“I am the part of you that you've now lost.Like naraku's human heart only I'm your dark side.
