~ Chapter one ~
"Give me the jewel ssshardssss!" Yelled a very ugly snake demon.
Kagome narrowed her eyes then attacked with her sword. She slashed
the demon 15 times killing it. But to the naked eye it looked as if she
only slashed a couple times. After the demon fell to the ground dead,
she located the shard in its back. After retrieving the shard she continued
on her way. She remembered how she had to have InuYasha kill the demons
for her, but then she remembered why she dissided to travel solo.
~ Flash back ~
Miroku looked to the sky," It's becoming nightfall, maybe we should stop
and make camp for the night." InuYasha agreed with hardly any argument,
which saddened Kagome alittle 'Why is it that when ether Sango or Miroku
ask to stop no matter if it's for a brake or to camp he hardly says a word,
But if I ask, It's becomes world war 3? Does he hate me that much?'
After the fire wood was gathered and all the camp gear was set out
InuYasha said he was going to scout out the area for any near by demons.
After InuYasha was gone for no more then 5 minutes a boar demon with 6 jewel
shards attact. The battle was hard but they did finaly defeat it, by the time
that was done and all wounds were cleaned and wraped the sun was coming
over the horizon. For the hundreth time during and after the battle Kagome was
thankful that Shippo had stayed at the village to help Kaede. After Sango and Miroku
fell asleep Kagome decided to look for InuYasha.
She walked about for 5 or 6 minutes before she felt InuYasha's aura. She picked
up her pace so she could give him a piece of her mind. She came up upon a large
furn that was in her path to InuYasha, she push the large leaves of the furn and
saw a sight that her would rather kill herself then to see it again.
It was InuYasha naked with a euqally naked Kikyo. Kagome did the only thing
she could do....run.
InuYasha awoke from the sound of a shuffle of a plant and the sound of running
footsteps. Putting his nose in the air he caught the scent of Kagome. His eyes
widen. He jumped up and dressed quickly then chaced after her. Once he
caught up to her, he tried to give her an excuse why he was with Kikyo. Then
Kagome just snapped.
Kagome's face became red with anger; she gave him a piece of her mind, "I DON'T
GIVE A SHIT THAT YOU WERE WITH THAT BITCH!!! I'M PISTED CAUSE YOU
WEREN'T THERE WHEN WE WERE UNDER ATTACK!!! MIROKU AND SANGO
ALMOST DIED WHEN YOU WERE FUCKING THAT DEAD WHORE-!! InuYasha
slapped Kagome.
She looked at him with wide eyes then ran to the well with her left hand on her left
bleeding cheek as tears gathered in her eyes. 'He had promised that he would
protect me. I never though he would strike me. Now who will protect me from him?'
~ End of flash back ~
Kagome never smiled, laughed or cried since that day. She now knew the she
needed to look out for herself. And to do that she needed to hide her emotion, or
her opponent would be able to read her like a book. But she found that when she
was with only Shippo, she couldn't and wouldn't hide them from him; her son.
A very small smile came to her face when she remembered that day after
InuYasha slaped her.
~ Flash back ~
Kagome reached the well but didn't jump in. She didn't want InuYasha to find her
so instead she dissided to travel west. She didn't know where she was going to go but she
knew she had to get way from InuYasha. Kagome thought it feel as if she was
chasing after the sun as it was setting. Kagome felt as if she was free for the first
time.
Kagome set up camp around dusk after she realised that she had her backpack
with her. Which she was very thank full for. She had enough food to last her for
at least a week. She had her bow with her but only 5 more arrows. She camped
alone for the first time and it wasn't quiet as frightening as she thought.
The next morning Kagome ketp travaling west. The sun had reached the middle
of the sky when she came across a cool spring. After washing, she dryed then
dressed. When her bathing suplise were packed and was about to go on her
way, she sensed three things one a demon and second, a jewel shardand third
it was coming at her very fast. She readied her bow and waited. When it came in
her line of sight, she about got sick. It was so ugly she had no idea what type of
demon it was. It almost looked like a pile of shit.
She aimed her arrow right for the stomach, which is where she sensed the shard.
She had injured the demon but not enough to stop it from injuring her. She was on
her last arrow when she saw a flash of silver from the corner of her eye.
She turned her attention back the demon, only to find it was dead with Lord Sesshoumaru
standing over to it looking straight at her. She looked right back with a cold, blank
expression before fainting from blood loss from a gash on her left side that she had
reseved from the shit demon.
