Theme: Revenge is such a wasteful thing. Ones whole life can be ruined from it. The time of ones life can be forever lost. The only people with whom one should try to get even are those who have helped that one. Time, at times, can be too slow for those who wait; too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those that rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity. So why waste time.

Chapter One:
"The Incident"
Fog. Such a thick, mysterious gas in which is allowed, by the heavens, to touch an unholy surface and air space as the world. It blinds and hides the things that are right in front of us, to the side of us, and behind us. Even in plain daylight these things cannot be seen but as a joke, an action of hatred and despair, and mockery it covers over these objects, things, people, making it harder for us to see and feel anything but cloudiness, lost, cold, and alone.
In Tokyo, Japan on a date of August 18, of the year 2005 the streets of this area were filled with that thick fog though thin, it was still hard to see five feet away. It was roughly six o'clock in the evening as a lone figure, carrying three filled bags walked down one of these fogged streets.
As the figure came closer, it was plain to tell that it was female. Her slightly curved body and long dark black, blue streaked hair penetrated through the misty clouds. The bags that she carried had been filled with food and drink from a drug store she had only moments ago came out of. She came further down the street, further out of the fog, her features were delicate and young, having to be no older than experiencing twelve years.
The young girl walked calmly down the street whistling to her self a nameless tune. She swung the bags she held gently back and forth in her hands. They made rustling noises of rubbing plastic and juggling fluid. Her feet slightly scrapped at the floor, she not wanting to lift them too high, for fear that there would be an unknown object she would trip over. The young girl continued to walk down the street until she came to another store, which was located at a corner and where in front stood five young teenage boys, looking no more than to be around the ages of fifteen to seventeen.
She stopped and bowed to them kindly. “Good after noon!!” She then said to them happily after her gesture of respect.
The five young boys all stood off of the wall they leaned against and stood up straight. They were all quite tall, all except for this one boy with dark as night black hair and vulture like eyes.
The young girl looked at them as they did so. She looked at them frightened. Perhaps it had not been such a good idea to say hello. But she soon took that back as they smiled and greeted her back.
She smiled to them and continued her way across the street. She smiled again to herself after a few moments; she had not been wrong about saying hello to them. They were nice boys and only misunderstood she bet, for they looked to be real troublemakers. They also looked to be really bummed out just standing there by the wall looking for something to do. Saying hello was the least, Kagome could do.
Kagome was the girl's name. Kagome Higurashi to be more exact. She lived in a shrine called the Sunset Shrine, for the beautiful sunset that could be witnessed from her bedroom window. She loved her room, for everything thing she needed was in there. But more than that, she loved her home and even though it no longer contained her father, she loved it all the same.
Her father, Ricky Higurashi had left Kagome, her mother and older brother when the young girl was only the age of five. Kagome remembered her father but not all that much. She would get some images of his face in her mind but they, over the years, had become fuzzy. The only thing that was still as bright as day, were his eyes. His soft hazel eyes. They were probably the only things that stuck in Kagome's mind probably because her eyes were the same. She had the same medium dark chestnut brown eyes as he did.
As Kagome walked down another street, she crossed it crossing over to the street parallel from the one she had been recently occupying.
And soon to follow her were the group of five boys she had greeted earlier. They quietly and quickly made their way after her. It seemed as if Kagome's view on them was all too kind. One of the boys, the small one with long dark black hair and beady same color eyes, had a hand to his belt. Just below that was a hill.
When hearing some rushed footsteps from behind, Kagome slowed her walking and turned her head, curious.
Behind her see saw the five boys. She smiled to them softly again, wondering why they had come to her. Some of the boys smiled back especially the one with short black hair and beady eyes. It kind of worried the young girl as he smiled at her so. Never in her life had she seen such an unpleasant smile. She didn't think such smiles were existent.
Kagome gave them a nod of her head as she turned around and began walking to her home. But yet again, she heard their rushed footsteps. She sighed as she stopped again and turned around, getting ready to tell the boys that she couldn't play right now for she had to get the groceries home to her mother, when she felt clammy hands upon her soft innocent skin.
She gave out a yelp of surprise at that then screamed as the hands tightened on her. She felt one the clam of a hand cover her mouth; she dropped the bags she held and tried to pull the hand away from her mouth. But more importantly than that, she had to hurry and get the other tentacles from off her area between her legs.
Tears stung at her eyes. What was happening? She struggled against the grip and strength of the five boys but she was only just one little girl. She had not yet acquired skill to fight off five boys, let alone one!
The boys continued to play with her with their claws when they finally stopped and held out each of her limbs in their hands. Each boy had either an arm or leg in their possession while one of the holders had a hand over her mouth. Kagome licked and bit at that hand but it only made the boy's laugh aloud.
Now after this had happened, Kagome was in a mess of being spread out, having spilt liquids on her feet, and having tears and boogers streaming down her face.
All but one of the boys held Kagome tight. The black haired, beady-eyed one came up to her slowly. Kagome's eyes widened as she saw his expression. It was…sickening. He once again had that unpleasant smile but to him she bet it seemed pleasant for he seemed to do it with no effort at all. Almost as if it was in his nature.
Before Kagome knew what was happening, for she was only so worried about the hands on her and the loud moans and sobs being emitted from her mouth, she heard another sound. The boy in front of her had lowered his hands and when raising them back up she heard his belt buckle jingle. What was he doing? What was he going to do?
Kagome's eyes opened wider. How could she not have realized it before? Her skirt. Her underwear. It was not on her covering her feminine portion. She moaned aloud more than before and struggled against the grip of the boys, but to no avail.
The boy came to her and the next thing she felt was a pain beyond pains. She felt as if her insides were being torn open. The thing inside of her pushed further within her and she yelled out into the hand covering her mouth. The hand was soaked with boogers and tears.
Kagome threw her head back as the pain kept rising. Would it not go away? She began to sink to her knees but regretted it as the thing inside her thrust into her, making her stand back up. She cried at the pain it caused.
The boy now being inside of his victim, looked into her eyes and smiled widely. Kagome shuddered. He brought a hand to her face. Another boy talked to the one touching her face but she had no idea of what he was saying. The only thing she knew, felt, saw was that she was being invaded, that she had this terrible pain within her body.
She wished that the boys would let her go and that the one intruding on her would get out. On the area between her legs, she could feel liquid pouring down her young legs. She knew that this was not the liquid she had bought from the store. It was something else.
Kagome shuddered again as the hands holding her limbs began again touching her in places she knew they shouldn't touch. If she was correct, she could feel that thing inside of her slide in and out of her core. Whatever they were doing to her, it felt horrible. She felt like she wanted to puke. Never in her life did she again want to feel like this. Never!
Finally, after what seemed like eternity, Kagome felt something get released inside her. She then felt the intruder leave her body. It left sharply and all too quickly and Kagome threw back her head further. She gave out a sickening yell, which was heard throughout the streets of Tokyo for the hand covering her mouth had drifted.
One of the boys holding Kagome shouted a bunch of curses and before anything else was known unto the young girl, the hands left her. She heard their echoing runs down the street and felt no arms on her though she still felt as if they were there. Kagome sunk to her knees and fell backwards into the pavement. She looked up to the sky. The same foggy sky she had been walking safely under earlier this night.
Never in her life did she imagine something as this could happen. How could those boys do this to her and how could no one hear the moans, groans, and cries she yelled? Did no one hear the loud shouts of the boys as they played with her body?
Almost as if, answers from the heavens above to the young tainted girl the fog around her cleared.
Strange.

In the park, a young boy roughly the age of perhaps thirteen walked on the wet grass. Some birds fell above head. They swooped down and landed into a pond of water that was not far from where the boy walked.
He liked to walk, the boy. It helped him to get his mind clear and straight. And one thing that was on his mind that needed to be made clear and straight was if he felt for this one particular girl.
He looked up to the sky, his silvery white hair being extended to pass his rear. He sighed. He did indeed like the girl but as a friend. Yet not. Something was there that was telling him it was much more than that.
Much more.
But he didn't know what it was he felt. He was only thirteen and even though a half demon, he was still quite young.
But forget his age, he was half demon! And Kagome though he knew was only human but really an angel. Not like the angels one sees walking around Tokyo, but a hidden angel. One too pure to show what it really was. But if she was too pure than he was too tainted for. He was half demon.
Before the young demon could think anymore of the subject, a death-defying cry emitted through the air. He looked down from the sky and then to the direction it had been heard from. Who had screamed? He had never heard or could recognize such a scream, but the hidden voice behind it was all too familiar.
“Kagome?!” The young half demon yelled more than asked. She was in danger and now finally he could smell it. The incredible scent of fear and jasmine that only that girl he knew wore soared its way into his nostrils. She wasn't to far from him. He could make it to her in time perhaps.
Before another thought entered the boy's mind, he raced to the person only moments ago he had been contemplating his affection and love for.
After what seemed like waiting on a line in the DMV, the young black haired boy had made it to the girl. What he saw before him made his blood boil, heart sink, chest hurt, and hands ball into white-knuckled fists.
There on the floor a small figure with black, blue, purple, and yellow spots that dotted her body, laid on the cold dirty ground of the street. Her eyes were open slightly and her mouth as well. Her legs were spread out and her arms were as well, almost as if she had been put to a cross.
The boy ran closer to her and dropped to his knees. He cupped the back of her head in his clawed hand and lifted it off the ground. He looked into her eyes.
“Kagome.” He whispered to her.
Her eyes were dazed as well as her mind was. She had thought she was done. She had thought that her life was over. But the fog had cleared around her and someone had come to her finally.
“Kagome!” The boy yelled again to her. Worry, fear, and anger in his young boyish voice.
She cast her eyes on him and gave a small smile. Even in a condition as this, her heart still had its innocence. And even though she had no idea of who the boy was, she was glad someone came for her. She had thought that no one cared. She had felt like she felt when her father left her.
" K...Kagome... what the hell happened to you." The black haired boy asked, holding her body to his. Her smile vanished and was replaced with tears and sobs. She knew whom the voice belonged to. It made her hurt more. How could he see her like this?
“Yusuke…” The sound, that was a name, came out of the girl's mouth with tears rolling down her already tear-stricken face.
The half demon boy, now known to have the name Yusuke, smiled slightly. He was glad to hear her…awake. If he were to think her feeling good, okay, or fine, he would just kill himself. She was anything but that.
Kagome looked up at the brown eyes that were cast sadly at her body. She shuddered under his stare and in his embrace. Even though she trusted Yusuke and knew him, she didn't want to be touched or looked at.
Yusuke looked at the body of his dearest friend…his…love. Yes, he knew now that he loved her. He would do anything to protect her. Never again shall a thing as this come upon her. Though he was a half demon and demons were the creatures that were the probable cause of this, he would protect her. From here on out. He should have done this long ago when he first had a change of feelings for her.
As Yusuke looked at the body of Kagome he once again was angered. Her shirt was ripped and her butt was naked. Yusuke could see blood with tints of a white substance on the inner part of her thin legs.
`She's so young.' Yusuke thought as he continued looked at her body. He finished looking at her feeling her uneasiness and gathered her into his arms. Kagome moaned at the movement of her body. She didn't want to move. She wanted to stay on the floor and just rot to death.
“Don't worry Kagome you're safe now.” Yusuke comforted her. She heard his voice but made no sound or movement to show or tell him that she agreed or heard him, for she had fallen into a light oblivion of darkness.
When Kagome next knew what was happening she was moving roughly in the arms of someone. She thought that she was in the clutches of the boys from before. She thought that they had come to finish what they had started. Kagome screamed aloud. Kicked and thrashed in the arms of Yusuke. The boy only held her closer and warmly. Kagome soon registered this to not be the boys. She heard the heart that was within the person holding her. It was not the hearts belonging to the boys that had touched her body wrongly.
The heart beat fast and slow. And she somehow knew that it beat for her.
Next what Kagome knew was loud voices being shouted towards her direction. Her eyes seemed to be glued closed so she couldn't see whom it was that was yelling.
“No!” She heard Yusuke yell. After that, she felt herself being pulled from his embrace. She again thought it to be the boy with the spider-like thing on his neck. She thrashed, kicked and yelled. She would not let him have his way. Not again. Not ever.
Yusuke when running his way to Kagome's home ran fast. Her home was the only place he knew was close enough and when he got there, Kagome's mother would know what to do with her.
As he ran, Kagome jumped around a lot at the motion in his legs. She must have woken up for when traveling up the stairs to her shrine Kagome began to go nuts. She had began to kick, thrash, and scream.
The half demon held her to his chest and body closer trying to tell her that all was…okay now.
He had made it to the top of the stairs and was greeted with loud shouts and yells. Kagome was roughly pulled from his arms and he was sent to the floor with a broom end to the face. Kagome's mother looked at him with such hate. Never in his life did he know the women had a face as that. She was the kindest woman he knew.
“You dirty half demon!” Kagome's mother yelled. She whacked him again. Yusuke stood and brought his hands up. Did she think that Yusuke had done this to Kagome?
“No!” He yelled again. “I found her like that!” But Kagome's mother would not hear it. She stepped up to him swiftly and harshly whacked him in the ribs of his chest. He staggered backwards but had no room to do so. So down he went, down the long stairs of the shrine. He tumbled down banging his head, chest, hand, arms, every body part he had until he was on the very last step of the shrine, which was the pavement-ed street itself.
He stood up sore and bleeding from his fall. He looked up the stairs. His demon eyes could see Kagome's mother glaring down at him. He could see Kagome shaking her head roughly. He could smell her fear and her mother's hatred and sadness. He looked away mad, the demon blood within him coming to a hot boil.
How could things turn out like this? All of his emotions and feelings for Kagome had gone away. Still his blood was boiling. He had just taken a beating from a flight of stairs. Behind him, he could hear people laughing.
`Oh sure, laugh when a guy falls down stairs but when someone is raped they do nothing!' He mentally yelled to himself.
“Filthy demon, leave!” Yusuke heard the mother yell out. He gave out a grunt of anger. Kagome's mother pissed him off. What the hell was the lady thinking? She knew him and she knew that he would never hurt her daughter and bare to see her in the condition she was in now. But he didn't care if the mother wanted to be like that. If she did then it was just fine with him. Not like he gave a damn anymore, what did he care? They were only human and Kagome probably deserved what she got.
“I didn't do it to her!” Yusuke yelled back to her. She was as human as they get. She was now tainted. She had the mark of taint. It was running down her sickening thin legs.
“Return to hell!” Kagome's mother yelled. She was no longer by the top of the shrine stairs. She had much more important things to do then release her feelings and emotions to a demon.
Yusuke ran away from the shrine steps never to return again. He wasn't returning to hell as the mother had said. He would never listen to a stupid person as that. Plus he hadn't even come from hell. Showed what that lady knew.
As Yusuke ran, his features changed from absolute anger to sadness. How could of happened to Kagome? She didn't deserve it. Slowly Yusuke felt his blood calming down. He thought over the things that had just recently happened.
His blood began to boil yet again. He knew that the promise he made to Kagome about being there for her protecting her was a lie. He was a half demon. He wasn't to care for or love humans. Even angels, as he had once always thought Kagome to be, he couldn't feel anything for. Angels and demons were the exact opposite of each other. And humans were just a said stupid mix of the two.
A sad, sorry and stupid mix, between the superior demons and the inferior angels.
Angels following the will of God and such. What stupid nonsense to hide behind?
Half Demons were smart for they followed their own path, walked their own path and lived their own path. They didn't need someone telling them or showing them what to do. They were strong enough to do it themselves.
As Yusuke thought these things to himself, he made a promise to himself. He didn't have to keep the one he had earlier made with a petty angel in disguise.
Yusuke could not think straightly. His demon blood, pride, and way were getting in his way of thinking and of living. His young mind was being invaded of and by long ago disputes. So now, Yusuke began to make the promise to himself.
The promise was this, that he would never in his life again help another angel. He would despise them for that was all they deserved. And the same promise he made for the humans.
Yusuke stopped his running and looked around. He was in an alley. He threw himself against the wall and sunk down to the ground his shirt rising up from the friction. When he was seated, he looked up at the sky.
He had said that all the feelings and emotions angels deserved the humans too deserved. And the feelings and emotions were this, nothing, nothing but hatred, disgust, and a feeling of superior-ness of demons.
As Yusuke looked up at the sky and thought over his vow, he whispered to himself.
“Sorry Kagome…"He hesitated. “Sorry… …" He closed his eyes tightly as the next word escaped from his thin, slightly pink lips. "So sorry.”
Yusuke breathed with regret as he finally allowed a thing inside himself to be unleashed.
“...but this is how things have turned out.”
He finished with a monotone voice that would forever be with him from now until… the very day he was to die.
Never again would he allow himself to be made a fool, he would never again stand to be insulted, and he was never again to be made look like a rapist.
He was only thirteen!
But still that had no matter for the fact that he...was a half demon.
