The club had quieted down considerably after Kagome had left. Kira has escorted the group to a small table in the back of the club, toward the door Kagome had entered. She asked them if they wanted anything the drink or even eat while they waited for Kagome to come back.

“Kira, that's your name right?” Yusuke asked as Kira come back with a glass of water. She looked at him before sitting down, glass in hand.

“Hai, my name was originally Kirara but we changed it, Kagome and me.” Kira took a quick gulp of the drink and seemed to relax a bit.

“What's this job Shikon has to do? You both seem to not like it or something.” Yusuke took a deep breath and raised an eyebrow and as smelled the familiar scent of alcohol coming from the glass Kira had set down on the table, the one she had been drinking from.

“Its just one of the duties she has to do. If she feels up to it, she'll tell you when she gets back.” Kira glanced at the door Kagome had entered before letting out a deep sigh. “If she feels up to it…” She mumbled.

“It's a very nice club. Very nice.” Kuwabara piped up from the back, as almost sensing the sudden change in mood. “I heard Shikon-san talking about levels earlier. How many levels does this club have? It seems to be only a two-story building.”

Kira smiled and looked around “We have five levels at this Club Shikon location. There is one upper level and three lower levels. The max levels any of our clubs have ever had is 8, and that was for the main location in Hong Kong. First off you must know that the floor of each level is so think, music and noise doesn't penetrate through. Each level has different main workers and staff. I works on mainly B-level 1 at the Main Entrance Level and B-level 1.

“The main entrance level is main just for shows, nothing goes on in here. We'll use it to train recruits, like Keiko, or use it as a ballroom for Kagome's season Parties she throws. B-level 1 is where all the action is. If you wanna party, you go there. The music is what you normally here when you wanna dance, drink, and get lucky. I can't stand the smell down there; it smells of sweat, alcohol, and sex. How Inuyasha stands it is beyond me, I only go down there to check up on the bar stock.

“B-level 2 is similar to a mafia business ring…without the mafia part. Big deals go on down there, and none of the waitresses work there. They get their own drinks from the stocked bar and choose their own music. What kind of deals go on… we don't really care.

“B-level 3 is where all the top business people relax. It's the only level that had its own piano player, and the bar down there is the biggest in Kyoto. Kagome-chan practically lives down there. Even though it's only opening night she spent almost all of it down there with her son and broth-” She was interrupted when Yusuke slammed his hands down on the table.

“SON? She has a son! She doesn't look a day over 18 and she has a son?” Keiko was gawking at Kira too. It seemed pretty unbelievable.

“He's not biological,” was all Kira said before she grabbed she glass and downed the rest. She glanced back at the door before dropping the glass on the table. “She's not married; she adopted him when he was equivalent of eight years old. He's grown quite a bit since that day.”

Yusuke sighed and looked at Kurama, who seemed to be in deep thought. What the kitsune was thinking of he really didn't care.

-So the sons adopted… that would explain a lot- Youko's voice sounded in Kurama's head.

`I guess, but why would she need to adopt. She still seems young, about the age of...20, I would say.' Kurama

-Maybe she just loved the brat a lot. Remember when Keiko tried to coax[1] Yusuke into adopting that little kitten she found on the street? Keiko was just so `in love' with the things she annoyed him to no end till Kuwabaka adopted it- Youko retaliated back. Kurama sighed and tuned back in to what Kira was talking about.

“…So she adopted him as he natural son. No one denied her the privilege; she would have killed them if they did anyway.” Youko scowled at Kurama for having missed out on that much of the conversation

-You should have been listening ningen!-

`It was your fault in the first place. Had you not distracted me I wouldn't have tuned them out.'

“When is Shikon-san expected to be coming back, Miss Kira,” Kurama asked, he had seen the small glanced Kira had been giving the door Kagome had left through. Every time she looked back at them, he could catch the traces of worry in her eyes.

“Whenever she's finished I guess. I just hope she doesn't exhaust herse-” Kira clamped her mouth shut and her eyes went wide. She got up from her seat and grabbed the glass she had been drinking from earlier, then proceeded to walk toward the bar intent on getting another glass.

“She's hiding something about this Kagome woman. She stopped herself before she even finished the sentence.” Yusuke said as he leaned back in his chair. His facial expression was filled with confusion and worry.

“Shikon-san is just a busy woman, Yusuke. This is a really good club, maybe Kira-senpai didn't wanna give anything away in her statement.” Keiko interjected before anyone could say anything.

Yusuke merely snorted and looked Keiko in the eye,” There is something different about that woman and I wanna find out before it turns against us.

A creaking noise was heard from behind them and they turned to see the door Kagome had gone through opening. Kagome stepped out with a sign and turned around to close it, before resting her head on the door. “I swear I should just…” she mumbled against the door.

“Kagome,” they heard someone call from across the room and they watched as she slowly turned around to look at the person who called her.

They were shocked.

The energetic woman they met before was replaced by a woman who looked like she would collapse any minute. She was resting against the door, trying to look like nothing had happened and was failing miserably.

“Kagome-chan maybe you should go sit down I'll bring you some tea.” Kira's voice called out from the bar. Kagome turned toward the groups table and smiled.

“Sorry I took so long, I guess I lost track of the time.” She said before walking over to the table, pulling out a chair and sitting down. “How do you like the club so far?”

Kurama looked at her with questioning eyes. She was trying so hard to seem like she was fine, but he could see she was clearly exhausted. “It's very nice Miss Shikon, I've never seen a club like it before.”

Kagome smiled “Please, call me Kagome, I hate formalities and Miss Shikon makes me feel old” She laughed before setting her hands on the table. She let out a shaky sigh and leaned back against the chair. Kurama reached out and put his on top of hers to get her attention. Her body tensed suddenly before relaxing and lifting her unoccupied hand to run it through her hair. She looked to Kurama and he noticed her pale complexion.

“Are you alright Miss Kagome? You seem a bit pale?” Kagome looked to him and then to where his hand rested on hers.

-Take your hand off of hers, I want to see something.- Youko practically shouted at Kurama, which almost caused him to wince. He thought for a moment before removing his hand from atop hers. Her relaxed state seemed to blow away as she closed her eyes and pulled her other hand from the table.

`Why did you want me to let her hand go, she seems ill.'

-I thought.. Never mind.- Kurama sighed as Youko recessed from his mind.

“I'm fine, just a little tired. Kira said she was going to bring some tea; she always knows what to do on days like this.” Kagome lifted a shaky hand and rubbed her eyes. “Just tired is all”

No one seemed to buy it, but Kagome was saved when Kira arrived with a cup of tea and a bottle of pills. She opened the bottle and shook three light purple pills from the container and shoved then into Kagome's hand.

“Take all of them this time, Kagome. I don't want to be late tomorrow.” Kira said as she watched Kagome down the pills and then take a long tip of the tea.

Keiko let out a yawn which caused everyone's attention to turn toward her. She blushed before letting out a small apology. Kagome laughed and looked at her.

“Guess I'm not the only one tired. Why don't you go on home Keiko, you've had a big day what with all the interruptions we had. I'll see you on Monday alright?” Kagome watched as everyone got up and followed their actions.

She started to lead them toward the door when her tired legs caused her to trip on the carpet that Keiko had tripped on previously. Her eyes shut as she instinctually held out her arms to block the fall. After several second, Kagome opened an eye to see why she wasn't on the cold ground.

She was far from the ground actually.

She felt warmth on her waist and looked down to see an arm holding her up. She followed the arm to a familiar face and smiled. “I guess I'm a little clumsy tonight aren't I Onii-san?” She got a snort before another hand joined her waist and helped her steady herself. She looked at Keiko and her friends to see them staring at the man holding her up.

“I guess I should introduce you all since I'm sure you'll all be coming back.. This is Sesshomaru Takashi.” She suddenly pushed away from Sesshomaru and placed a hand on her hip. “Where's Shippou, Sesshou? I hope you didn't leave him back at the bar again.”

Sesshomaru rolled his eyes before pushing his hand into his pockets, “He left earlier after the bartender refused us drinks.” He glared down at her and she merely smiled.

“That's good. At lest..” She cut herself short when she saw the look in his eyes. Concern.

“I thought I told you to tell me when you go through these nights. We can't have you collapsing.” Sesshomaru put a hand on her head and sighed. He looked at Kira.

“We'll be leaving for the night, be sure to see that Kagome's stuff is organized and put in her car. I'll have Jaken come collected the thing in the morning.”

Kira let out a soft laugh before nodding, “I'll see to it Sesshomaru-sama, don't worry about it. Night Kagome-chan!”

Kagome looked to Keiko and smiled. “Hehe, they are a bit over-protective if you know what I mean Keiko. I'll see you on Monday” She reached forward and gave her a hug.

Keiko looked to Yusuke and smiled “Well I guess you get your wish, we can go now.” Yusuke seemed to brighten up instantly and started to push Keiko out of the building. The rest of the group followed but not before Kurama gave Kagome a smile, which practically caused her heart to skip a beat.

“I hope you get better Miss Kagome.” with that they left.

Kagome sighed and looked back at them to see Kira and Sesshomaru smirking at her.

“Oh shut up, I'm tired and I wanna get to bed.”
