Gore Lust Defiance.
Chapter One.
1st Night
Vampiric Savior.
Warped boards creaked as a young woman crushed boot clad feet upon them. Her head was currently stuffed beneath a bunk, filled with her arsenal of weapons. She needed the damned key, though, to her dismay they were elusive. Causing her much more inner turmoil than she needed before a mission. Silver eyes narrowed upon the indention in the floor where a flicker of rust shown through. "Damn it all to hell." She muttered violently. If there had ever been a time when she wasn't in the mood to be buried below her own bed, this was it. Especially, when the miniscule parcel she was searching for was no where to be found.
Raising her head upwards, she banged her skull upon the rotten boards. The sudden miscalculation of movement caused her more pain that was truly necessary. Leaving the girl with a bruise near the temple. "Seriously, why is it always me?" Her voice whimpered hoarsely.
"Because my dear, you're the only real woman left in this sector, and you are not to be trusted." An intruding voice bellowed as her door slid open. Revealing a tall, and majestic man. His face was lean, and tappered. Possibly by age, but even then, he was still fair. His long hair was tied low against the ball of his neck. Whereas the rest flowed down his spine in a river of black. Narrowing his rusty eyes he smirked crookedly, the amusement of that girl and her clumsiness did wonders for his mood on the occasion. "Then again, when one so careless as yourself forgets something, it's as good as lost."

"Please spare me the dramatics, Naraku." The girl hissed, rubbing her befriended lump aside her head. Slumping back against the wall, she sighed with a glower in place upon her pallid features. Obviously, this wasn't the time for her Boss to be showing his face in her quarters unannounced."Did you want anything, or can I go fuck myself now?"

"Darling, for such a pretty thing you have the foulest mouth. Is there anything you would like to say before I send you off?" Naraku remarked lightly. His temper was still in check, amazingly. Brushing away a stray hair from his grey, tailored suit he sighed. This was going to be the death of him one day. More often than not, he wondered if it was going to be that woman that did him in. The one with the silver eyes, and raven hair...The one in the floor to be more exact.

"Not particularly. I'm not really in the mood to be berated by you at the moment." The girl murmured, pushing her red sleeves back up to her elbows to cool off her over heated body. Lolling her head back against the wall, she smiled inwardly. "You know I'm perfectly capable of beating myself into the ground." She sniffled, exhaling empty carbon dioxide.

Cracking a smile, Naraku knelt down to be eye level with the girl. His knees popped quietly as he met the cold floor that drafted through his clothing. "Very well. Though, I do implore that you reconcile with the ashes of that woman you slaughtered. It wouldn't be wise to have already hexed yourself before your mission, ne?" Claret eyes sparkled with bemusement while he licked the corner of his lip. The memory from the other day was priceless, let alone unnecessary in all do respects. Killing mercifulleslly was accepted, just not over the means that it was on that occasion.

"Yuka was nothing to me. I found her completely rude for stealing my candy bar." The girl pouted her cherry lips. Her brows furrowed, showing her complete displeasure of the action. "She knew I was fucking hungry. That bitch." She stated as a matter of factly. Proving this woman wrong was a desecration against all nature itself.

"If there was anything I could really say about you, my pet. It's that you are appalling." Naraku sighed. Removing himself from the floor, he cracked his back. He needed to get this mission over with, yet at the same time, he would have loved to have lectured his prized female. Hell, she'd been alive far to long for her years. What was a few more days on postponing this mission if he could bed a bit of her experience.

Following suit, the raven headed girl stood at attention. Her long legs where finally unstretched, and lengthy against the stature that she held while sitting in a ball on the floor. "You say that like it's a bad thing, Sire." She stated casually, bristling past him to grab a duffle bag filled with enough clothing for two days and a vat of blood sealed off in synthetic bags.

Naraku blinked his narrow eyes, and cocked his head to the side just so subtly. His jaw was slack, and ready to command an apology or true inquistion, but fell short. "Sire? that's a new one for the books." He scoffed jadedly. This was new. Somewhat of an agreement between two able bodies that spit venom from their mouths, it seemed to perfect standing in that white washed room.

"Point being?" The petite woman spat, arching a brow as she stepped heavily out of her room. The fresh tiles clanked beneath her feet as she shot a dry glance over her shoulder to realize that she was being followed down the coridoor. Whipping around on the ball of her foot, she raised her head high, ignoring the acute pain that shot through her spine. Her eyes were livid and tired as she watched as her boss liesurely strode around the corner, two doors down from her very own.

"I was just trying to make conversation with you, dear. You needn't take such offense in conversation, itself." The elder man stated calmly. He was always one to keep his cool, even when time was of the essence. Then again, beneath those posionous eyes laid the only way to become free. Her life did belong to him and she was damn sure that that would arise in immediate conversing if she didn't leave.

The thought of his voice following her, echoed in her head as she heard the clanking of one piece of gold against the floor. Her eyes fixated upon the dancing coin with an insatiable lust. How in seven hells, she needed that money. "Who am I killing, how much am I getting paid, and when can I take you down?" She growled as another woman passed by shiftly. Side glancing her, she sighed and turned her crestfallen attention back on the man that held her by a thread.

"I thought as much." Naraku grinned sheepishly. His hand reached into his silken pocket to pull out a sack of change, decorated int the finest cloth he could have mustered the strength to look for that morning. In all of it's drab coffee stained appeal, the napking was then flicked to the ground openly, shattering all of the coins across the flourescently lit ground. " Interesting change of subject once you see a coin pivot when it hits the ground." He chuckled maliciously. "I think you need to collect the pieces for me, love, I don't think I have the strenth." He mocked softly. Watching the atmosphere in the girl's stormy eyes transition violently.

"Bastard." The youthful appearing woman hissed, locking her mouth tightly after the words poured from her lips. She stared in defiance at the man before her, his stature was extremely tall against her own. Even with her excessively long legs she was still nearly a foot and a half too short to pose as any kind of threat. Slowly, her eyes fell back towards the tiled floor, and ignored the disinfectant that filled the air with it's pungent oder.

"I own you Kagome. There's not much you can do to escape what you are. A bitter half of a woman, you have no soul either, I spared your life when you were a child and you are to repay me with respect and obey. This insubordenience is completely prohibited." Cutting his feline eyes, he glared angrily. There wasn't much this wench could do that wouldn't send his blood into a boil. So stubborn, hard headed. Blasphemous.

After a moment of dire scrutiny, Kagome scowled. The bag in her hand was growing increasingly heavy, along with her mood. Daring a glance upwards from her scraped up shoes, she flashed her master a sparing stare."What am I Naraku? Tell me, I'd really like to know."

Feeling her scorching gaze, Naraku shifted upon his soles. He needed a lie, though Kagome's bitter truth was just as venomous as a lie, or what it only wished to become. “As I was stating, you are only half of a woman. You’re incapable of grief, or emotion for that matter. I made you into what you are. You’ll always be that doll I found laying in a gutter near the gates nearly a century ago. My little vampire. Kagome, you’re damned and bound to me. I’ll always be able to find you. You’re freedom rests in my hands. All I ask of you now, is to kill a pathetic half breed.” The stoic man's breath clenched after his tirade. Finding it exceptionally hard not to lash out and strike the infernal creature across the timid cheek. Though, the thought of bruising her perfection would mean sullying his own hands.

Letting her body move, Kagome turned away. Her feet began their heavy stride once again, driving down the harsh clicking upon the floor. She bit her tongue briefly, before she tore her gaze away from the dust collection that laid ahead of her. She wouldn't be held down by the vicious reality that was her life. Seemingly, that seemed to be the only thing she knew anymore. Releasing hold on her will, she parted her lips. “Fuck you.”

“Don’t take such a tone with me. I’ll have your head. Sadly, I don’t think you’d die.” Naraku scathed, his hands balled into fists aswell. The gloves that covered lengthy fingers, twisted as he stormed forward. His tread was thick, weighted down by more than simple body. The covering of his clothing seemed heavy, as if unresolved circumstances held strong.

Gripping to the edge of her bag, Kagome shuddered and continued walking ahead to the meeting hall. “I’ll never die.”

“I’ve put enough thought into that, though the prospect of throwing you into the Torrent seems fit enough for your destruction.” Naraku retorted. Flicking his head to the side as he indicated the correct hallway to take as Kagome shot him a forsaken glance.

Her voice faltered in an attempt to find a riposte. Unforgiving Naraku for keeping her alive, when all she wanted was to be at peace and thrive in the other world. Why he'd kept her was a reason that she never understood. Killing was a ruthless attempt to salvage life, wasn't it? To live from the pain that someone else suffered. It really was a lost cause. “You disgust me, nonetheless.”

The white hallways passed by in serpentine curves. None ending, always continuing for the damned to remember what hell they live. The only offseting color to the conduits, were menial employees dressed in drab hues. Raising her eyes to the last door on the right, Kagome smiled under a thicket of obsidian hair. Her pale face seemed to warm as she saw Bankotsu resting his head against the doorframe.

Even with Naraku still following close behind, she felt her heart skip. Bankotsu smiled wryly, sending a shiver down the dejected girl's spine. Even in though his skin was tan, and his eyes were forbidden and dark, the boy held potential beneath those flourescent lights. With a nod, he acknowldged Kagome's presence and fell in step behind her as she reached a callow hand forward to open the bulky Lab door.

Nearly an hour had passed, since sitting down at a rounded table with a monochrome sheen. It hurt the eyes, let alone burned the retinas. Wincing Kagome, pulled her head up from it's palm perch. She blinked her innocent eyes, staring out in a daze at the list that was slapped infront of her. Skimming over the first few lines, she sighed. This mission was going to be harder that hell. Absently, with her left hand, she reached up and pulled her hair out of the toggle that held it high and let it fall. With the other hand, she reached into her suit pocket and pulled out a flimsy pack of cigarettes and crushed one inbetween her lips.

“Now, my dear, here is the information that you need to destroy this bastard. All of his information is encrypted here. If you find any commanding forces along side him, please, it would be a great service if you could do away with them.” Naraku said as he slumped down lackadasically in the swivel chair beside her. He rested his elbow upon the table top, pointing out key information, briefly before taking a sip of his hot coffee.

“One woman for an alliance of men. I wonder how this one’s gonna end.” Kagome snorted in slight amusement as she sucked back a drag, while a hand ran up and down her right leg to keep from freezing solid.

Naraku chortled to himself, swallowing down another swig of his beverage. “Don’t be so bitter child. You can handle them.” He stated reassuringly, readjusting his small specticals upon the bridge of his nose.

“Are there any others to accompany me?” Kagome asked as she cleared her throat. Averting her eyes to a clock, she glowered. It was getting late and she wanted to get this over with...desperately.

Keeping his relatively calmed down facade, the man nudged his head in Bankotsu's direction at the other end of the table. Arching a brow he sighed, noticing the employee sleeping on the job. “As always, you will be escorted by Bankotsu. I’m sure that you’ll find some use for the boy, eventually.”

“Fine. I suppose that I’ll have to fuck him to death before he leaves me alone.” The girl giggled. Leaning back in her seat she rolled the thought of what she would do to him if given the prime opportunity.

“Such a tongue needs to be split. If you dare to defy his orders once again, then you’re mouth will be sewn shut. Is that understood?” Naraku chastised, staring down the woman to his right. Everything about her he wanted. Though, this wasnt a good opportunity to ask her if he could take her again. Licking his lips, he blew a balmy gasp into his bangs. Completely ignoring the incredulous look that bathed on Kagome's face.

“Don’t ask me rhetorical questions. You know very well that I understand, and just don’t care.” She whimpered pathetically. Placing her covered feet upon the midst rim of the table, she slid back. Her arms fell slack as she groaned. The aspect of standing up after sitting on her ass for nearly an entire day seemed preposterous.

“Very well, Kagome. Now, see to it that you find the hanyou, and kill him. The only order that you have to find the swine and-” The regal man began. Tearing his rusty eyes away from Kagome, Naraku focused on the steady clodding of feet that had ripped him from his own train of thought.

With a resounding crash, the Lab door was flung open. Slamming against the wall with such vim a painting on the opposite side fell to the ground.“Lord Naraku! I need you to sign this for me!” A voice echoed loudly, revealing a slim woman with a pair of glasses rested upon the tip of her petite nose. Quickly, she danced towards the table and plastered a smile upon her rosy features. Her eyes were lit up in the bright lights, making the subtle charcoal show through vividly.

“What is it Kikyo?” Naraku frowned openly.

Tiptoeing forward, Kikyo stumbled with clipboard in hand to her employer. “It’s a form for the final death warrant transaction of…Lord Kaijinbo.”

“Kikyo, dear, don’t you have a capable hand?” Naraku jested, glimpsed upwards at the vivicacious girl. Her lips were pouted in frustration and her clothing was slightly wrinkled. He knew that she hated wearing suits, but it was her uniform. Women were supposed to be feminine not like men.

“Yes, but it calls for your signature to restructure the landscape to your will.” Kikyo commented as Kagome looked on. Sighing the girl in the chair, continued back on the task of cleaning beneath her finger nails. If she wasn't all ready dead at this point, she would have gladly taken herself to the guillotine.

Rolling his eyes, Naraku smirked as Kagome laughed at the comment as a whole. It was simply common knowledge that she thought that Kikyo was relatively unintelligent. “I swear, you know how to forge.” Taking out his pen from his shirt pocket, the man signed away at the dotted line on the copied form.

“ I know, but still I split coffee on the original form and damn it, I did such a good job on your signature.” Kikyo scowled. All of her efforts were taken away when she spilt that damned drink on the fax. I can't believe I did that, I'm not that dumb. Am I? She silently asked herself as Kagome burst into a small laughter.

“Ha! This seems like it’s going to be a decent vacation.” The girl laughed in content. Smothering out her cigarette upon the bottom of her shoe. She slid out of her chair, and stretched with a smile. "No Kikyo, No Naraku..I'm free for the weekend!" She joked, rubbing her numb ass with her sweater sleeve covered hands.

Handing the form back to his secretary, Naraku crossed a leg over the other placing his game face on. A dry grin settled into place, as he quitely removed his glasses from his flawless face. Absentmindedly, he yawned flashing a glance back upwards towards the girls that held such a resemblance. “You know, Kagome…I think that you’re going to take Miss Azumi with you.”

“Nani?” Kagome blinked, and stared with a slack jaw. "You have got to be kidding me?" She fumed. Her once happy facade had been shattered intoa bitter one in the course of ten seconds. Kikyo, on the other hand, stood in complete shock. Her eyes welled to the brim with tears. She'd begged for nearly two years to go on her own mission and finally... Finally she'd get to go on the most important one. She must have done something right in a past life to proclaim silently to her admissions.

“I finally get to go on a mission?” Kikyo inquired as if she were a school girl too timid to ask permission. Clenching her hands she waited for the brief seconds to pass when she would get her final answer.

“Yes, Kikyo. I think that you’ve earned it.” Naraku confirmed with a smile as he stood and readied himself for retreat. Tapping his papers on the table, he place them in a manila folder and held them out expectantly to Kagome.

Jerking the folder from his hands, she glowered. Her eyes were vicious while she settled them on Kikyo and her brilliant dance. “Ooh…I’m going to kill myself before this is over.” She muttered beneath her breath, staring down at the identification number iupon the creme colored file.

“My point exactly, Miss Higurashi.” Naraku winked as he shut the metal door behind him.

((A/N: This chapter is supposed to be the least detailed, and most ransacked. The rest of the story will not be like this, I just needed to base the characters from the dialogue that I had written. Forgive my lack of explanation, though, everything will be clear by Chapter three. I hope. Anyway, enough of me rambling-Enjoy!))
