Chapter 9: Who are you?"

Disclaimer: You know what bump the old disclaimer I do own Sesshomaru. Everyone else can have Inu Yasha and the gang. Sesshomaru is mine though.

Kagome sat quietly in her seat thinking, `Why the fuck am I in a car with a man I barely know except for the fact that he is in my dreams and in the latest on her tried to get… intimate with me.'

Kagome blushed, "Maybe it's because you want some answers?"

Kagome looked sharply at the man, "How did you know what I was thinking?"

"Kagome my dear, I have been in you dreams all this time. Is it really that unbelieveable?"

Kagome searched his face looking for some hidden answer then shrugged, "I guess not.."

The man smiled as he drove the car through a forest before driving to a halt when the trees stopped the drive through anymore.

"You want to go all the way out here?"

Kagome looked at him, "Why is there something I should be cautious about?"

"Only if you think there is?"

"Then let's go." They got out the car and walked through the trees until they were standing in front of a cave. "This cave is actually a mountain pass to the other side. But it's not really used anymore since cars were invented." Kagome didn't know why she needed to explain herself but she did as she sat down on the grass.

"You come to this place to think a lot. I find it interesting that you would bring me out here," he said as he took a seat beside her.

Kagome gasped then looked at the man and said, "Who are you and what's your name?"

"I am a man who cares deeply about you and your welfare, second my name is Karanu."

"How are you always in my dreams?"

"My love to you is so strong that it has made a link between out minds."

"Hum… a… nuh… whaaaat?"

"Our minds are connected because of my love for you." Kanaru looked at Kagome and saw her with her hand over her mouth trying not to laugh. "You think I am fooling around?"

Kagome controlled her laughter enough to say, "Well I don't know what to think? I don't think much is believable now. Being that everyone is telling me stuff and I don't now what is true…"

Kanaru growled and said, "By you saying everyone do you mean Inu Yasha?" Kagome shivered, `Why the hell am I shivering he doesn't scare me…' Kanaru shifted closer to Kagome and grasped her shoulders, "He is not worth anything. He will take advantage of you. Use your body and leave you in the dust. With me I am always there for you. But I don't have to explain that because you already know this." Kagome looked into his eyes, `Maybe this man really knows what he is talking about… Maybe Inu Yasha is…' Kanaru saw her innocent belief in him and smiled. He lowered his head towards Kagome. Kagome noticed this but felt paralyzed to do anything about it. She felt his breath against her lips; she closed her eyes thinking she might as well enjoy it.
