Chapter 19: "What do you get for a party?"

Disclaimer: I don't own Inu Yasha and his crew of home dawgs from his hood. ^_^

Author's Note: I betcha didn't think I would get two chapters out in one day. Bruhahaha well in your face. :P I know I am going to be tired as eight tracks in a minute though. *sigh * But I really want my Chunky Monkey ©. ^_~

Chapter 19: "What do you get for a party?"

Inu Yasha stood next to the shopping cart with as he watched Sango and Miroku throwing various party things into the cart.

"I still don't understand why we need all this stuff. I mean why does it even have to be a big party?"

Sango spun around and said, "It has to be a lot because I am inviting almost the whole school tomorrow. Miroku is going to have Kagome there," She looked pointedly at Miroku and he gulped.

"Yeah I am gonna have Kagome there tomorrow so this has to look like a real party or else she is gonna suspect this is a setup."

Inu Yasha narrowed his eyes at Miroku, "She better be there tomorrow or I am gonna kill."

Miroku laughed nervously, "Hey you should smile when you're joking. He he he. Oh you're not joking… Well at least smile… ok… don't smile… Can you please stop staring at me…? Ok I am uncomfortable… I think you achieved your goal please stop staring…"

Sango spoke up, "Stop giving him that death glare before he pees his pants. We need to finish getting all the stuff the party is tomorrow."

Inu Yasha looked at the cart then said, "You mean there is more to get?"

Sango huffed and pushed the cart heading to another aisle and grabbing more things. When they were finished they went to the cash register.

"Wow that is a lot of groceries you guys go there." The cashier said. "You guys having a party?"

Sango smiled and said, "Yeah we are. Would you like to come to it? It starts at nine o'clock tomorrow."

The cashier smiled and said, "Sure why not. Where is it at?" Sango gave her the directions then the cashier said, "Can I invite a friend? Oh and by the way my name is Vashti, what is yours?"

"Oh how rude of me. My name is Sango and this is my friend Inu Yasha and my numb skull boyfriend Miroku and of course you can invite a friend."

The cashier smiled then said, "You know ya'll names remind me of a manga I read. I forgot the name of it though."

"Must be pure coincidence."

Vashti laughed then said, "Your right well let me stop wasting ya'll time and ring up your items."

Sango held out her hand and Inu Yasha sighed pulling out his wallet and pulling out a twenty. Sango snatched the wallet and took all his money out paying for all the groceries. Inu Yasha's mouth dropped as he stared at the total.

"Stop staring. You guys are rich. I don't see what the problem is." Miroku and Sango started pushing the cart towards the car as Inu Yasha looked at the long scroll of a receipt in his hand.

Miroku and Sango loaded the car and then looked up as they saw Sesshomaru coming over with bags full of liquor. Sango pouted, "That is definitely not enough." She took his wallet that he still had in his hand and ran back to the liquor store pulling out her fake ID. Ten minutes later she came back with a cart full of random liquor handing Sesshomaru back his wallet.

"How much did you spend on liquor?"

"Not enough."

Sango jumped into the front seat of the car and yelled, "Come on boys we have a lot of stuff to get done. Also if we want to get a head start on the thousands of Jello © shots that we need to get done then he better hurry." Miroku, Inu Yasha and Sesshomaru shook their heads as they got into the car.

Kagome stared down at the necklace that laid on the floor that had spilled out of the box she had thrown at Souta. She felt memories rush back to her at what this necklace stood for. She reached down and picked it up. As she held it in her hand a pink glow emanated from it. She closed her eyes and felt herself fall back onto her bed.

Inu Yasha sat at the lunch table staring at Kagome's empty seat. Everyone stared at him. Even Kouga didn't have the heart to pick on him. They all ate in silence as they watched Inu Yasha stared aimlessly at the seat. Inu Yasha looked up at Miroku and said, "Are you sure she is going to come to the party?"

Miroku started then said, "Of course she is coming. You think I would let her miss this."

Inu Yasha nodded then looked back at her empty seat and sighed.

"What are you sighing about? I don't see anything sad about this day."

Inu Yasha started so badly that he almost fell back in his chair as he looked up to see Kagome smiling at him. She put her plate down on the table and said, "Sorry guys for being late I was helping my teacher with something and made it late to class."

Inu Yasha stared at her in disbelief as if he couldn't believe she was actually there. She had her hair pulled into a high pony tail with a red bow on the top of it. She had a red shirt on and blue low rise jeans that had red stitching on it. She looked so beautiful to Inu Yasha he felt like he was tongue tied.

Kagome spoke up and said, "Hey guys did you here this party everyone is talking about? It's supposed to be something really big. I can't wait to go tonight." She lifted her apple to her mouth and took a bite of it.

Kouga said, "You mean the one that dog face... agh!" He screamed out loud as Sango stomped on his foot.

Sango smiled, "Yeah I Miroku and I can't wait to go either. Do you have anything in particular you was going to wear?"

"I am going to go shopping today for it. You want to go with me?"

"Sure."

Kagome turned to Inu Yasha and said, "Why are you so quiet? You're never that quiet?"

Inu Yasha said, "Oh I am just in a daze that's all."

Kagome shrugged and said, "Oh you just seem out of it."

Inu Yasha stared and said, "You seem different too."

"I have just come to a realization in my life and I feel a lot better then I have in days."

"KAGOME!!"

Everyone turned to the girl running towards them. Yura stood at the table and said, "Kagome there is a new girl in the school and Mrs. Akinori wanted to know if you could show her around during your lunch break?"

"Are you serious? Crap," She turned to everyone at her table, "Well I will see you guys later, oh and Inu Yasha if you want the ramen on my plate you can have it." She got up and started out the cafeteria towards the classroom.

Inu Yasha grabbed the ramen and Miroku smiled, "Uh… Uh… Uh… My name is Inu… Yasha."

Inu Yasha growled at him, "I just got a little tongue tied because I haven't seen her in a while."

Kouga laughed, "That was more then tongue tied."

As they all laughed they started chattering away about their day while Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes and thought, `How did she know he loved ramen?'

Kagome walked over to the girl and smiled at her, "Hi my name is Kagome Higurashi and…"

The girl pulled her into a tight embrace. Kagome gasped then the girl pulled her away, "Kagome I can't believe I finally made it here. I was having the hardest time trying to figure out how to get to the future but I finally did."

Kagome stared at the girl then her eyes widened and she whispered, "It can be."

"Can't be what?"

"Ayame is that you?"

"Course it's me! How have you been treating my Kouga?"

Kagome stared in shock at the girl then smiled and said, " You know what, would you like to see Kouga tonight?"

Ayame squealed and said, "How and when?"

"Well there is supposed to be this awesome party tonight…"

Author's note: Well kiddies that is two chapters in one night. I knew I had it in me to type them up. ^_^ I am so happy that I actually got them done. I just have to do a few more to hit my twenty page mark so that I can get my CHUNKY MONKEY © Yay!
