Kagome ended up enrolling in college after all, majoring in history, but taking some business economic classes as well. A career not really being necessary for financial reasons, Kagome ended up devoting much of her time to the family shrine, and ended up curator of her own museum, where she displayed many of Inuyasha’s, as well as her own grandfather’s, unique treasures.

It was only a few short years in on the marriage when the couple had their first child, a daughter, whom they named in honor of Inuyasha’s mother. Izayoi was born with human physical features, but they’d acquired a youkai doctor regardless, because Kagome required special care during her pregnancy. Blood work that shows ¼ inu DNA can only be viewed by certain people, after all. It wasn’t long before they discovered, though their child had human ears, she certainly didn’t have human hearing. Turned out all of her senses were nearly as strong as her parents, hearing, vision, smell, etc., and she was strong, remarkably strong. Though she didn’t have claws, her nails were like steal. This was a girl who would never in her life, utter the phrase “I broke a nail.”

Once Izayoi was old enough to, they allowed her to attend public school, understanding she was never to reveal she was part youkai. It came as no surprise to her parents when she excelled in sports.

Over the years, Kagome bore Inuyasha additional children. Some were born with demonic features, while others were not. But there was always a home for all ofthem, along with Sesshomaru and his family. Kagome and Inuyasha lived through their long lives happily. Though the mortal lives of some friends and family were occasionally a cause for sadness, they would forever, have each other.
