As sesshomaru stepped out into the clearing, he could smell blood in the air. Blood of that mortal woman, who travelled with Inuyasha his half-breed half-brother.
“heh” he thought “Inuyasha cant even look after his own friends. This should prove to be entertaining” he thought.
Sesshomaru could smell the blood of thousands of demons and also the blood of the kitsune, monk and demon-slayer.

Where is Inuyasha you might ask?

Inuyasha was with Kikyo once again.

Sesshomaru was now very near to Kagome and the others.

Sesshomaru could hear a small Mew, from next to his feet. He looked down and saw Kilala,the demon 2-tailed Cat.

“mew” she said once again before collapsing.

Sesshomaru casually picked her up and placed her by Kagome and the others.

Sesshomaru looked down at Kagome’s face - but properly this time. And was extremely shocked.
Even though Kagome was covered in blood and she was indeed Dead He noticed how beautiful she was.

Sesshomaru noticed how her Dark hair fell neatly into place and how her deep onyx eyes could see right through you. He especially liked her pale flawless skin - though he would never admit it he thought Kagome was the most beautiful person he had ever saw.

Koga could also smell the blood of Kagome and the others, but he couldn’t smell Inuyasha.
He was very angry.

Sesshomaru could smell Koga coming.

Koga had reached through the clearing and was now standing on the battle field where those Thousand’s of demon corpses laid, and also where Kagome, Miroku, sango, Shippo and Kilala lay.

“Where the hell is that Half-breed Mutt!?” he thought to himself.

Koga looked across and saw Sesshomaru.

He ran towards him and Shouted “what the hell are you doing!?”
but then noticed Kagome’s lifeless body.

Koga reached out and shook her shoulder.
“k…Ka….Kagome? Come on Kagome, wake up!”

Sesshomaru shook his head. “she’s gone and so are the others.”

Tears fell from Koga’s eyes.


Kikyo could sense the demonic aura coming off the demons that kagome, Miroku, sango, Kilala and Shippo had killed, and of course she could sense a lot of death.

Kikyo wandered If Inuyasha would leave if she told him, that she smelt the blood of Kagome.

“I can smell blood. Blood of Kagome.” Kikyo said casually.

Inuyasha sniffed the air. All he could smell was Kikyo,then just very faintly Blood. Blood of Kagome. Then Miroku. Sango. Shippo, then Kilala Then the stench of a wolf. And then finally Sesshomaru.

“Kagome!!!”

And Inuyasha rushed off without a word to Kikyo.

Finally Inuyasha stood on the battlefield.

Thousands of demon corpse’s lay in front of him.
Inuyasha looked around.
He saw Sesshomaru and Koga. And the bodies that lay in front of them.

Inuyasha ran towards them.
“Where the fuck were you!!!?” Koga shouted. “How could you fucking do this to kagome and the others!!?”

Inuyasha was crying.

Kagome, everyone… Im so sorry.

“Crying wont bring them back.” sesshomaru muttered.

“I know that but, I didn’t know, I… I was with Kikyo, I didn’t know there were any demons, I didn’t know. Inuyasha cried.

Koga Punched him.

“Y…You mean that you were with that creepy Miko the whole time!!!?”

“Wait a minute…Sesshomaru, Your sword, you can bring them back to life.” Inuyasha assumed.

Sesshomaru completely forgot about his tenseiga, as he was so mesmerized by Kagome’s beauty and the horrific-ness of what lay in front of him.

“hmmm what’s in it for me though?” Sesshomaru wasn’t trying to be difficult, it was just the way he usually acted and he didn’t particularly want Inuyasha and Koga to see him any differently.

“Just do it!! Koga shouted. Please just do it!”

“hmm. Fine.” Sesshomaru relieved the tenseiga from its sheath.

He could see the pall bearer demons trying to take their souls.

Sesshomaru sliced through the pall bearers in just a single sweep of his sword.

Inuyasha, koga and sesshomaru heard the heart beats of the others but not Kagome.

Miroku awoke. “Ungh. I thought I was dead.”
Then sango awoke. “I….Im alive” she whispered.

“Miroku! Sango! Your awake!!” Inuyasha cried out with happiness.

“Inuyasha? What happened to us? We were dead but now…..” Miroku asked.

“Sesshomaru brought you back to life…” Inuyasha sighed.

“But what of Shippo, Kilala and Kagome?” Sango persisted.
“They’re not awake yet.” Koga replied.
Tears Still fell from Inuyashas eyes.

“mew!” Kilala was alive.
“Wow, I thought I was a goner!” Shippo was alive too!
“Then its just the girl” thought sesshomaru.

“she wont awake.” Exclaimed sesshomaru.

Everyone was now surrounding Kagome.

Everyone was praying.

Sesshomaru tried again. But still, no luck.

“Why isn’t she coming back to life Inuyasha?” Shippo asked

“How the hell am I supposed to know twerp!” Inuyasha angrily replied.

Kagome arose to her feet.

“Kagome!?” Koga happily said

“NO! Her soul is gone, its just a puppet.” Sesshomaru added.

Naraku came out of the shadows.
“muwahahaha. Laughed Naraku. I had kanna steal her soul and now she is mine to freely control.”

“Naraku! You bastard! All we have to do, is break that mirror!” koga shouted.

Koga lunged towards kanna and her mirror, and he kicked out. But instead of kicking the mirror, he kicked kagome which protected the mirror.

That kick broke Kagome’s arm.

There was no emotion in kagome’s face.

“Ha” Naraku sneered.

“Inuyasha, I have a little test for you. You can choose who you want, either Kagome or Kikyo.
Naraku lifted his cloak and reviled the battered body of Kikyo.

“Kikyo! What have you done to her!?” Inuyasha shouted.

“Choose Inuyasha!”
“You can choose whether you want kagome to be brought back to life or whether you want Kikyo to be brought back to life.

Inuyasha seeing as he had no choice, decided to choose.
“I……I want Kikyo.” Inuyasha bent his head in shame.
“Forgive me kagome” he whispered.

“So be it.” Naraku replied.

Koga was mortified. And so were sesshomaru and the others.

Kagome’s soul came out of kanna’s mirror and forced it’s way into Kikyo’s body.

Kikyo was alive once again, and kagome’s body hit the floor.

“Dance of the dead” came a voice from the shadows. It was Kagura.

Kagome once again arose to her feet, but this time she was not alone. The demons that Miroku and the others had killed also seemingly came back to life.

“Kagome!, demons! Kill them all!!” Naraku shouted.

“Naraku! You bastard! You tricked me!!” Inuyasha said.

“You are such a fool Inuyasha.” Sesshomaru said calmly.

Koga was furious. “You Idiot!”

Kagome picked up a sword, and started running towards shippo, the weakest one of the group.

Miroku stood in front of shippo and with His staff he blocked Kagome’s attack.

“Get out of the way Monk” Kagome alleged.

Kagome kicked Miroku in his ribs.
Miroku fell backwards.

Kagome knocked sango, Shippo and Kilala out of the way.

Kagome made her way towards Inuyasha, and slapped him across the face.

You see Kagome still had a part of her soul left in her body.
And Kagura couldn’t control Kagome at all.

Kagura jumped down from the trees and went to Naraku.

She whispered In his ear “I have no control over her. She’s only moving from her emotions.”

“Hmm I see. Naraku replied. “Let us leave then”

And with that Naraku, Kagura and Kanna left.


“Damn you Inuyasha!!! Screamed Kagome. How could you!?”

“Kagome I…..I….Im sorry” Inuyasha said while blocking Kagome’s attacks

Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Koga, sesshomaru and Kilala were fighting the demons.

By this time Kikyo had also left.

Kagome shoot Inuyasha one last glare before walking towards the demons.

With just a wave of her hand all the demons were purified. They were all destroyed.

Kagome then walked off towards the forest.
“Kagome!” Shippo came running up towards kagome and jumped onto her shoulder.

“kagome, please forgive Inuyasha.” shippo asked her.

“leave me alone shippo” kagome replied

Sesshomaru walked up to kagome and punched her in the stomach knocking her unconscious.

Everyone went back to Kaede’s village.

They put Kagome inside the hut, and the rest talked outside.
They talked about what was best for kagome, best for them, what they should do now and what was to come.
