It was a cold november afternoon, and a youth of about 16 to human eyes, ran through the woods at an amazing speed if you had blinked you would have missed the spot of red in between the branches .After 15 minutes of running like a wild horse the youngster stopped in front of huge silvery gates, behind this gates stood a majestic castle that seemed to defy the sun itself while making the moon jealous with it's beauty and esplendor.The guards at once saw the young one and opened the gates to let him through and once again he was running at top speed, barging in through the back doors and almost running over one of the servants."Ow, damn!! watch were you are going !!" said the servant while looking up, at seeing who it was the servant whose name was Miroku almost fell back again to the floor."Master Inuyasha aren't you supposed to be getting ready for dinner already? Oh don't tell me you are late again!!??
"Miroku shut up i just got held back in the forest doing stuff it's not like they started serving the food already besides i can make it in time if you let me go now" at this Miroku let the young prince go and smirked, it was always the same thing, the prince would go out into the forest he would chase whatever thing he thought would be entertaining then nap the whole afternoon to wake up at sunset and realize what time it was, then dashing through whatever thing stood in his way to make it in time to dine with his family.The Master of the house did not permit any kind of lateness not even if it was the one person whom he spoiled.Inuyasha ran to his room changed his normal red attire for a black and white one then brushed his hair cursing lowly when the brush got stuck in the tree branches he collected in his long hair while getting home.He looked at himself in the mirror thought he looked acceptable and again started running towards the dinning room.Seeing the door Inuyasha smiled ' yes!! i'm not going to be late today then i can probably ask father to let me go in that journey with the traveling merchants' this were his thoughts right before he completely crashed against someone and fell flat on his ass " Damn why don't you look were you are going!! it's the second time today that i crash with someone!!" a furious Inuyasha said while getting up and getting ready to beat the crap out of whoever dared throw him in the floor. All thoughts stopped when he saw a familiar fluffy white thingy and looking completely up he winced as he recognized the face of his father ' great now i'm in so much trouble i ran into him for god's sake !! i wonder how he'll punish me oh please not the one of keeping me in the castle for a whole week i'll go insane' while Inuyasha was dealing with his paranoia and phobias to closed spaces his father helped him up all the time golden eyes scrutinizing his younger son "What did you say about who looking where he was going?" Inuyasha laughed nervously and said " Forgive me father i was just ummm uhh trying to be on time for dinner" Inutaisho looked at his son with a knowing face and sighed "Were you out again today?" now Inuyasha was scared, if his father found out about his little escapedes even though he had told him not to go out without a guard or a servant to watch him he was dead and yes literally dead." Well yes dad i was out but i took Miroku with me you can ask him if you want we went to the hot springs close by and then we saw this caravan of merchants they had amazing things and so many half-breeds it was great..." While Inuyasha kept up the rant about the traveling merchants they made their way towards the table and sat down neither noticing the three figures already there who were looking at them with surprise well two were with surprise the other was pure hatred mainly focused on Inuyasha though.The reason of this being that Inuyasha looked almost seven with big puppy eyes and a beautiful smile on his lips while he told his father something; now Inuyasha never acted like that in front of anyone aside from his father, he was either scowling, arguing, or just plain bored, so for him to be smiling was like an apocalipse. On the other hand Inutaisho always had the perfect poker face you couldn't tell what he was thinking or feeling no matter how hard you tried and now you could see he was beaming with happiness and of course this was only done by Inuyasha the son of his only true love Izaoyi. When they sat down Inutaisho was the first to notice they were not alone so he threw Inuyasha a stern glance which the other didn't understand at first but when he looked around he realized what was going on and he closed his mouth although he was pouting a bit he wanted to tell his father some more since dinner time it was the only time Inutaisho didn't have to be doing paper work.Inuyasha was sitting at the right of his father who was sitting at the top of the table, to his left was a woman who was Yasha's step mother and whose name was Lirael, and at the end of the table was Sesshomaru Inuyasha's older brother to Inuyasha's right was a little girl sitting her name was Rin. She had been adopted since she did not have any family left. On one of Sesshomaru's travels he had been badly injured in a fight and the little girl had taken care of him and nursed him back to health Yasha thought that Rin was Sesshomaru's daughter but the bastard was too proud to say he had done a human female but since the child was always with him Inuyasha did not have time to ask her if what he had said about her was true.Now they were sitting there waiting for dinner to be served and Inuyasha could have sworn he felt the tension in the air actually maybe that was just the window open but then again he knew that letting the woman and Sesshomaru see him and his father talk like that was almost as if you initiated a fire on spilled oil you have to let it burn until it runs out. The little girl was fine she was always happy smiles anyways ' maybe sessh took her brain or something i mean aside from "lord sesshomaru wait for me" i haven't heard her say anything else maybe i should kidnap her and as a ramson demand sesshomaru lick dirt of my feet that would tickle though and gross i don't want him touching me' Inuyasha suppressed a shiver and concentrated on the conversation at hand which if he was correct was about some demon mating to some other demon or something and that it was almost time he mated to someone or something 'WHAT??!! hold on did i hear right stop right there and rewind' "Father what did you just say??" Inuyasha looked near histerical almost like a lunatic who had seen a white jacket with black straps. Inutaisho saw Yashas reaction and very slowly but clearly repeated "You are nearing the age when you have to start thinking of choosing a mate" Yasha openly stared at his father mouth opening and closing without anything coming out. Then as if he had regained his voice he shouted "WHAT??!!! how come that bastard over there doesn't have a mate?? No way!! i'm not giving up my freedom for some witch like her" Inuyasha pointed to Lirael "You had better kill me right now because over my dead body would i live my entire life with a wench and life-sucking greedy and needy bitch like her!!" At that he stopped when he noticed his father's eyes were starting to turn red at the corners.Inutaisho closed his eyes took a deep breath breathed out then repeated the action a couple of times when he opened them it was the same expression as before cold and distant."Now Inuyasha we will speak of this alone you and me i don't want to hear anymore of this and your brother does have a mate she's just very sick and thus you have never seen her and you will apologize to my mate if you don't want to be stuck in your room an entire month and don't think i don't know about your alone trips into the forest or how you associate with low-class demons and humans" Inuyasha looked up and found the stern gaze of his father followed by the hurt expression of Lirael then the scared face of Rin and last the smug face of his brother. Now he could take the apologizing to the woman but like hell he was doing it in front of Sesshomaru and so he stood up as fast as lightning stuck his tongue out to Sesshomaru and ran out of the room through the open window while screaming "Like hell i'm gonna apologize screw you all, make me if you can". Inuyasha ran and ran through the forest he knew so well he ran to the one place his father or any demon would not dare go to well any demon except him of course.It was late almost past midnight but Yasha knew the priestess Kagome would not be mad if he came at this hour and so he knocked and called her name after a couple of minutes a sleepy voice said "Come in come in,Inuyasha? what are you doing here? are you running away again? i can't believe this you are not a little kid anymore yasha you have to take responsibility for the things you do" she was older than Inu's father but she looked the same age of Inuyasha "But i swear i have a good reason this time" Inuyasha pouted "Everyone is against me in that house father wants me to find a mate and go away that witch wants me to treat her like a mother and Sesshomaru would sell his soul if it would make me disappear of the face of the earth and i bet Rin is wishing i go away too so she can take over my place in the family, and you tell me to take responsability when i have to deal with a full room of conspirators who wish me gonne" by this time Inuyasha was laying down with his head resting on Kagome's lap while she with her right hand scratched his little ears and with her left played with his silken hair.Little time after Yasha was dozing off which gave Kagome some time to think she wanted to help him and she knew he felt lonely but maybe he if chose a mate who would not demand anything from him and let him have his liberty he could find a friend and someone who loved him and filled that emptiness she felt always radiating from him.'Well i'll speak with him tomorrow morning maybe we can find a solution to his problem" while she pondered on what solution that would be the priestess summoned a spirit bird and sent him to the castle to give a message.

AT THE CASTLE
Everyone sat stunned well everyone except Rin who didn't have any idea as to what was going on.Not one person had ever dared raise it's voice to Inutaisho or dared to defy him as Inuyasha did by not apologizing but instead of being in a rage and chase his son to teach him a lesson the demon lord just sat there looking hurt a storm of feelings going through his face, Lirael started crying and excused herself Rin did so as well when Sesshomaru gave her a nod signaling the door."Well father looks like spoiling him and giving him all the love you never gave me it's starting to pay off don't you think? he defies you, lacks any form of manners,rejects to study anything that could help his brain develop some form of rational thought was that what you had in mind?" at those words Inutaisho looked about ready to cry but of course he would never do so it was true that Yasha defied him it was true that he lacked manners that a demon of his status should have and it was true he did not study.The thing was that Yasha was the only one who dared to defy him and that was what made him special because it was a challenge, he lacked manners but that made him act more natural and it was like fresh air when you have been in a meeting of stiff demon lords for 10 hours,maybe he did not study with his tutor as he should but Inutaisho knew that Yasha read by himself and when he had a question he asked his father and it were not stupid questions besides he knew that the priestess of Time taught him a great deal of things and that they were friends.In the end nothing bothered him about Inuyasha on the contrary everything was perfect to him.Now this deal about mating was what bothered him he did not want his son to go far away with some demon he did not know about.It would be too painful to be away from Yasha."Sesshomaru do not speak of your brother in that ill way in front of me respect him or else" a threating growl was thrown in for good measure."Father i understand that he is young in your eyes still but he's almost 500 more than ready to mate and even if you do not desire so when he goes in heat it would be very dangerous to let him run around free and doing whatever he wants" explained Sesshomaru in a lifeless tone, he could not understand his father he always obeyed always followed every order father gave him but it was never enough Inuyasha always received the praise and the love that he craved and he got none that's why he hates Inuyasha so much it's always about Inuyasha when he had been ready to mate he did as his father said and mated he didn't protest or ran away even though he wanted to."Yes i know Sesshomaru but i did not think he would be against it this much i was willing to give him more time but seeing how reacted i think it would be better if we get it over with, you may be excused now" Sesshomaru got up and started walking towards the door then he stopped and turned "Father you won't go after him?" he asked Inutaisho nodded "I will go if he takes too long to come back but i'm sure i know where he is and if i'm right i will receive a messenger tonight or tomorrow morning" Sesshomaru gave a small nod and left the room closing the door behind him gently and starting to walk towards his room ' I wonder what kind of place Inuyasha always runs to it seems like father knows must be a cave or something that half-breed has no taste or decency it isn't my business anyways stupid Inuyasha hopefully he'll get lost and never come back' such were his thoughts as he entered Rin's room to check if she was asleep and there she was without anything covering her and shivering in the cold Sesshomaru came closer and put a fluffly blanket over her and watched as she snuggled to the warmth he gave a little smile and left the room walking to the next door which was the one to his room.Taking all his clothes off and laying down in his feather soft bed his thoughts drifted once again to Inuyasha 'It would be very quiet in here without him no one to insult or have witty remarks thrown in his face and the rage in those eyes ...... it doesn't matter i enjoy silence everything will be better once he is gonne' and so Sesshomaru drifted into a deep sleep were pools of yellow mellow drowned him.In another room of the castle a little bird made it's way to the side of a chair and singed a little tune which reached only the sensitive ears of the Inutaisho who smiled he know knew where Inuyasha was he would send Sesshomaru to get him in the morning.
