Chapter 8

Kagome was lying on the floor blood stained her snowy white skin and dark violet hair, she wasn't breathing and behind her in the shadows was a figure. A dark figure with fiery red eyes. …the figure was laughing….Sesshoumaru was powerless he could not move…and Kagome was dieing.

Sesshoumaru woke up with sweat trickling down his face and he was in a panic….'KAGOME!!'

Sesshoumaru looked franticly in the room and sniffed the air….she wasn't in the room.

Sesshoumaru dashed out of bed and headed for the door when it creaked open……Kagome's head popped in and she smiled brightly at him.

"What's wrong Sesshoumaru?"

She now looked worried seeing Sesshoumaru's eyes blazing red.

"WHERE WERE YOU??? YOU COULD HAVE GOTTEN HURT!!!"

Sesshoumaru was holding Kagome's arm and yanking her towards him.

"SESSHOUMARU!! You're hurting me!" Kagome then back flipped and brought Sesshoumaru down with her. She pinned him to the floor and held him there.

"What is going on, Sesshoumaru what has gotten into you?"

"Kagome….forgive me…I had a nightmare and I was worried." Sesshoumaru was definitely shaking.

"So you decided hurting me would help?" Kagome was uneasy now, she looked into his eyes, `what could have made him act so emotional, even around me he is not this open in his feelings…'

Sesshoumaru told her about his dream, how she had died and he had been powerless to stop it. Kagome sat there stroking Sesshoumaru's hair as his head was laid on her lap. She did not know what his dream meant but she could only imagine how he felt, Sesshoumaru was a control freak and not being able to do something or being powerless must have felt …like hell. The only thing that bothered her was the figure…the eyes…how he described them they were so `...familiar.'

Kagome had met Rin, this little girl about a week ago. It turned out that Sesshoumaru had had the little girl traveling with him for a while he saved her and then took care of her. She in turn loved Sesshoumaru like a father. Sesshoumaru had sent the girl to an old teacher of his to be taught certain things about human life and how to speak properly….well at least the speaking was better she no longer used the third person.

Kagome loved the little girl, just as much as Shippo, but she wondered why Sesshoumaru had not told her sooner. Then she thought, `he probably saw it as a weakness then…hmmm oh Sess-chan you are so stubborn and proud sometimes'

She watched as Rin gave Sesshoumaru a bunch of flowers she and Shippo picked. Then the little girl ran off to play with Shippo. Sesshoumaru felt her gaze on him, he turned his head to face her and at that moment the breeze picked up both their long loose hairs and it floated along like a beautiful sea of purple and white.

Kagome decided it was time to head in, the wind was picking up and the children might get sick. So they all headed inside.

The next morning…

"Sesshoumaru, I think it's time we go visit my home."

"We? Kagome, I don't think it's wise for me to go."

Kagome looked at Sesshoumaru, "Please, I want you to meet my family and I want them to meet you, besides I miss them."

She looked into his eyes and, he in turn looked into hers. He knew that she had not gone home since he was with her; her family probably missed her a lot.

Sesshoumaru nuzzled her neck and gave her a soft kiss on the lips, "Very well, but I have to make some preparations…okay?" He began to kiss down her navel, when Kagome brought his face to hers, "Thank you."

In three days they would head to the well and they would be off to Kagome's time.

Meanwhile…

Inuyasha was traveling with Miroku and Sango. Ever since Kagome left he had been seeing Kikyo at night. Every night she would kiss and hold Inuyasha and she would ask him for the Shards, but he would not give them to her. Keade had told him how she no longer possessed the power to purify the shards, so he had no choice but to keep taking them to Kagome, besides he no longer possessed the need to become fully human of youkai for anyone, so all the shard would end up with Kagome. She was the guardian after all. He knew that he had to defeat Kikyo and get the last shard but when he would finally get the courage to attack her she would just disappear.

"I have to do this for Kagome…..for the souls, for myself."

I am so sorry but this chapter is really short I am still working out some stuff and I will soon reveal some stuff okay, there will be some new enemy's and some old foes, but relax…there will be more Kagome/Sesshoumaru goodness soon to come…hehehehe
