Alex's Origins

~Shesso-maru's P.O.V.~

Shesso-maru walked towards the scent of Jaken, his servant. “Damn you Jaken. Where are you when I need you?” With that The Demon Lord of the Western Lands passed out in the grass by a pond.

 

~Alex's P.O.V.~

I smell blood. Alexx thought. Blood, from someone who is gravely hurt. I must go to them. It is my duty. She thought. “Pardon me. But I have other business to attend to.” Alex pointed out to the Inu-Yasha gang. Celest nodded. Alex jumped out from the hut and over into the direction of the woods. She was about a mile from where the battle had taken place earlier. “Here.” She whispered. As she landed on a branch she saw him. There. On the ground. She jumped down and hesitantly walked up to him. “My name is Alex. I wish to heal you.”

 

~Celest P.O.V.~

“Where is she going?” Shippo asked hesitantly.

“Not sure. Alex doesn't like talking much unless she likes you. She also has a tendency to run off at times. Its just who she is.” Celest replied.

“You say she is half Vampire. How is that possible?” Sango asked.

“Yes, Vampires are created of pure evil, yet she is very kind and walks in the sun” Miroku responded.

“Remember how I said me and my comrades came from a different world? In that world, Vampires can breed.” Celest retorted.

“Hey there Celest! What's up?” A voice asked sarcastically.

“Hello Silver. Just in time.”

A girl with white hair stepped into the hut. Her clothes seemed to be loose fitting robes. Her eyes were a piercing gray. It was hard to see any expression at all on her. Her grin was the only thing with a hint of emotion on her shapely face.

“I am Silver Watson. The Angel of Protection.”

 

~Shesso-maru's P.O.V.~

Shesso-maru could hear a rustling in the bushes. “Jaken?” He asked almost dumbly. “No, My name is Alex. I came to heal you.” Came the reply. A girl no older than 19 came from the bushes. “Hn. What do you want? Gold? Power? Revenge?”

The girl smiled down at his face. “No. I came to heal, that is what I intend to do. Heal.”

“Then, Alex…”

“Alex, In truth, its Aurora Alexandria Teontonas, the Wolf demon/Vampire hybrid.”

“Vampire?”

“Yes, I as born in the other worlds. My mother fell in love with an Vampire sent to kill her husband. She left her betrothed and had a forbidden sexual intercourse with my father. I was born even though my parents were threatened by The Vampire King not to have me. For the first 3 years of my life I was raised in hidden till…”

“Till what?” Shesso-maru was suddenly compelled to hear this girl's story.

“Never mind. I must attend to your wounds.” Alex reached to untie his kimono top.

“No. Tell me. I have an interest now that you have started.”

Alex laughed. “I've never really opened up before, or even told this story that often either. But, if I must, then I shall…

“Demons came from my stepfather-the Vampire King-, to get my mother. They killed my father in the process. My mother committed suicide just three days afterwards. I ran into the forbidden woods where the wolf elves found me half dead. For the next seven years I was raised by forest elves, wolf elves, and even the fair river elves, who seldom even let themselves be seen. On my tenth birthday, I was sent to the dragons to learn the art of dragon taming. Since my birth I had an odd ability to summon, call, and tame any beast. I once even tamed a Cerberus.” Alex laughed.

 

“Go on.” Shesso-maru urged, no longer caring for his wounds. She to, seemed to have forgotten about them. Now all she did was speak to him while staring into his eyes. Such beautiful blue eyes. This girl is strong, her aura reflects it. But those eyes. So calm, cool, beautiful. He thought. No! She said she is only half demon. I shall not fall for such beauty! even if it is half Vampire!

“Yes, well, The dragons quickly took me in as a apprentice. I quickly, in less than three years became the youngest dragon knight in my post. About two years later, I became a dragon master of Night, Darkness, Ice, and Water dragons. I left the Dragon Clans soon after my 15th birthday. For about two years I wandered the earth killing rouge demons and anything else that was wicked in the eyes of others. That all changed one night.” Alex let out a heavy sigh.

 

“I was hunting a fallen Angel named Zeil. I was told that of his home in the forgotten forest and fallowed him there from a tavern I saw him at earlier. You must understand, In that realm by body is different, impure, yet in each realm, our bodies our purified. So, uhh…”

Shessomaru let out a small laugh. “I understand, go on.”

 

“Well, uh, I was around the end of my Eighteenth birthday, around the end of May. The flowers were in full bloom. It was a nice spring day filled with the aromas of scents you could only dream of. I fallowed him for about a day or two, until I had fallowed him to his encampment. That was a big mistake.”

“Go on.” Shesso-aru urged.

“When I reached the encampment I was caught. It turned out that was where his camp was, but in it were half demons and other half beings that obeyed him. They took me to him and chained me up so I couldn't move. It's hard to describe the fear, because, even though I had been fallowing him, he never once took the hood off of his face. I was shocked when I saw him. His eyes were red like my friend Celest's, his hair was ebony black like mine. He asked what I was doing here something struck me. He was like me. He had no intention to hurt me! But his men did.”

“Continue please.” Shesso-maru urged.

“As you wish.” Alex continued.

Such kindness. Who knew half demons weren't this proper?

Shesso-maru thought.

“His voice was like silk brushing along your skin, soft yet cold. `Why O' great one temptress born of blood from both races of dark and light come to me and my men?' he asked. I swallowed my pride and answered. `I was sent to destroy you, but upon seeing you, I know now why I can't.' He asked why. `I, like you and your men, have been shunned by my, or should I say our, kin. I understand why people fear us now.' He said something in an odd tongue to his men who led me to his tent. He undid my chains a sat with me. As we drank tea we discussed our past lives, who we were, and so on. I felt so free with him. Then I noticed how he was dressed. His clothes were made of the finest silks I had ever seen. I took be a minute to realize this but he was the son of Stephan, an angel that fell in love with a mortal, a tale like my father's and mother's. `Do you like what you see?' he asked. I stared into those eyes of his. `Yes' was my only response. That night I gave myself to him. To be forever his, and his alone. The next morning he fitted me with the finest clothes and jewels. I was in love. Such foolishness it was yes, to love a man only I had just met not even a day ago. About two months later, I was summoned as the Guardian of Water. The Vampire King, angry that even though he had told me multiple times to leave Zeil, I did not stop loving him. Zeil was my lover, my only, as I was his. The Vampire King, more infuriated than ever, sent his Vampires to kill Zeil and his men.”

Tears welled up in Alex's eyes.

“Please don't cry, many can understand why you are sad.” Shesso-maru whispered. He stroked Alex cheek with his hand.

“Its odd. I have to cry. I want to cry, not out of sadness, but out of hate. Hate towards The Vampire King and his people.”

Shesso-maru looked at her in confusion. “Go on.”

The tears dropped not on his face but on the grass, she had removed from hunching over him. Her voice was now full of hate, spite, resentment, and anger. “The Vampire King had me chained up in his castle to watch it all. With my powers of the dragons, I sent Azul, my most trustworthy water dragon to save Zeil and take him to the safest place on earth, the dragon haven. Azul took Zeil their and I have not seen Zeil since. For the next three years up until now, I have served The Vampire King, as his servant. As his most worthy servant he says.” Shesso-maru looked at the tears disappear from her eyes. Bitterness filled her voice.

“As his slave for all eternity.”
