A Dog Demon and His Sister

This is my first one so please be nice…this is my own work!

 

Story up to this point- inuyasha's mother had originally had another child by a human father but he had died in a war. When inuyasha was born she was around 6 years old. Inuyasha's father had thought of her as his own child. She became a demon slayer and a demon “protector”(for all the good demons getting attacked by bad humans) this demon slayer always surprised her opponents because she had the powers of a demon and yet she was only human. She later died by a demon who had attacked her village. Inuyasha was too late to save her. Before she died she had a son who would pass down her lineage. Her descendant's name was Ayame, who lives in kagome's time. She was one of kagome's best friends. One day she followed kagome down the well (normal people can't go down the well….she must be important in the past) she discovered her ancestor's past. She traveled with inuyasha and the gang on all their adventures until one day…

 

 

“Inuyasha!” Yelled ayame. “Yeah what do you want?” “Whose turn is it to go and find food?” “Isn't it yours?” “Inuyasha, I did it for you last time!” “Yeah so I didn't ask you too.” “YOU WERE OUT COLD OF COURSE YOU DIDN'T ASK ME!” Inuyasha turns away. “Fine inuyasha, I will go and find food.” “Hey ayame be careful villagers say that a demon has been in these woods for some time.” Said kagome. “No need to worry. I am taking my katzunas and my batosai. (her big sword and her mini swords…they have strange powers) See you guys in a bit.” “Inuyasha I think I will return home for a couple hours.” Said kagome. “Ok” said inuyasha

 

In the forest

 

Hmmm…..these should do…..no that one isn't ripe…”ha ha ha we have finally found you ayame.” “NARAKU!” Ayame said as she turned around quickly. “Since we have tried to find the perfect vessel to be manipulated by my poison shards, I have missed seeing your ancestor.” “Naraku you vile creature, you tried to control my ancestor, what do you want with me?” “You fool, I didn't have jewel shards then, my plan failed when I tried. Now I can exact my revenge on you!” “No you won't!” KLANG!..ayame had pulled her sword out just in time to ward naraku's attack. “I see you have improved since the last time we fought.” Suddenly a second arm appears from naraku's back and slices ayame right in the stomach. “but obviously you haven't improved enough” “Na…ra..ku…inuyasha…will…ki..kill…you.& #8221; “I don't think so. You see I wont be fighting him you will” …after that is said she falls to the ground unconscious. Kagura appears. “Naraku I see you have succeeded.” “Of course I have you fool I am the great naraku.”

 

Night fell

 

“Why hasn't ayame returned.” Said inuyasha worriedly. “Maybe she got lost.” Said shippo. “Maybe but I doubt it.” Said inuyasha….if she is wounded I should be able to smell her blood…I don't smell any so why hasn't she come back…a lady comes through the woods yelling “a demon girl is attacking the village please someone help!”....inuyasha and miroku check it out as sango tries to calm the women down. “What did this demon look like?” “She had short brown hair, a long sword, two short blades, a short mini green kimono, and amber eyes.” Sango thought that sounds like ayame except the amber eyes her eyes are blue…

 

At the village

 

“HA HA HA! You villagers are so weak…this body is exceptionally strong.” “Huh!?” Said miroku and inuyasha simultaneously. “Ayame why? Why are you slautering innocent people?” Said inuyasha. “Why inuyasha didn't you know that I would one day turn on you. I despised you inuyasha from the very day I met you.” “Ayame please we are your friends.” Said miroku. “Not anymore.” With that she picked up her sword and tried an attack but the only thing that happened was a giant spark. This sword why can't I pick it up? This body should be able to hold it so why can't I touch it? “ She cant pick up her own sword!?” Said inuyasha. “That ain't ayame! Miroku use your wind tunnel!” “I don't think so.” Said kagura. Suddenly naraku's poisonous insects showed up. “I can't inuyasha!” “I see you figured it out huh inuyasha.” “Your not ayame, you have a demonic aura, and ayame isn't heartless.” Said inuyasha angerly. “That's right. Your friend ayame's soul has been taken away. This is her body but I am not her.” Her soul…what happened? Suddenly a giant tornado appears with naraku appearing after it. “Naraku! I should have known it was you behind all this.” “Ahh…inuyasha I have missed fighting you….meet your ayame's body just without ayame.” “You beast how could you do that to her?” Said inuyasha. “It was simple. Kanna took her soul. afterwards I implanted a piece of me in a wound I had inflicted upon her. Thus is the personality you see before you.” Wait she was wounded then why couldn't I smell her blood? “I am sure you are wondering why you couldn't smell her blood…well you couldn't because I hid her scent under my baboon fur. Although she has a strong pure aura so kanna put a necklace on her allowing that part of me to maintain control. I did not realize that she wouldn't be able to hold the batosai.” “Inuyasha!” Said kagome as she flew in on kirara. “Kagome stay away! Ayame…something has happened to her.” “Did you think that would keep her away?...this body has more abilities than just that sword!” ”HYA!!!” “AHHHHHH!!!!” “kagome!!!” yelled inuyasha…..kagome falls to the ground. Inuyasha catches her just as she almost hits the ground. “Kagome!? Kagome!? Answer me kagome!” Screamed inuyasha. “Why ayame?” Asked miroku. “Don't you get it monk I am not ayame!” She used her powers to slice through miroku's barrier and knocked him to the ground also knocking him unconscious. “Hirakots!” Yelled sango. This knocked the ayame impersonator off her feet. “Ahh…the demon slayer has arrived.” “You are one evil” “Hiya!!!!” “you are too weak”….she slung the hirakots right back at sango. With sango, miroku, and kagome unconscious. Inuyasha is beginning to wonder if he can defeat the imposter. “Tell me inuyasha….how does it feel to be slaughtered by your own kin?” “naraku I swear I will defeat you and save my sister.” “I doubt that”…just then kagome regains consciousness. “inuyasha I can shoot an arrow at the mirror.” “Alright kagome lets try it”…..kagome readies her bow….inuyasha distracts ayame's body….as kagome lets go of the arrow a yell comes from ayame's body. “no without the mirror I cant control this body!”….the arrow pierces the mirror…a giant ball of light comes flying out of the mirror and into ayame's body as soon as it does the necklace binding her soul to the mirror disintegrated….her body fell to the ground. “ayame!” yelled sango(after regaining consciousness) “will she be alright now kagome?” Asked shippo. “i hope so shippo”……suddenly her body begins to move. “inu…inuyasha…. inuyasha help me!!”…she screams out in pain and clutches her chest as naraku lets out a giant laugh, “HAHAHAHAHA!!!! did you really think I wouldn't have a back up plan?.....i am disappointed in you inuyasha….i have implanted within her sacred jewel shards that have been inside my miasma.” suddenly her eyes begin to go black and she starts to get up. “I can now have complete control over her body while slowly killing her” “naraku so help me God I will kill you for what you have done!” “look out inuyasha, your sister wants to chop your head off” just then ayame swings her sword and barely misses inuyasha's head. She can hold the sword now I need to be more carefull….but first I need a plan thought inuyasha. Although it is ayame's body her soul is inside getting poisoned by the shards. “ inuyasha if you don't kill her the shards will…..but they will be much more slow and painful” ayame slashes at inuyasha and all he can do is defend…I don't want to hurt her. “I have no choice!” he slashes at her…..but wait the tetsusaiga is thrown back….apparently inuyasha has forgotten the strength of ayame's batosai. He is finally able to knock it out of her hands. “Miroku get kagome and the other out of here!” “but what about you?” asked kagome. “I will stay and find away to save ayame” the gang does as inuyasha said. Not willingly mind you…..just then ayame takes her katzunas and slices inuyasha right in the stomach. “ack!..ACK!!....ayame!?....please snap out of it…” he stared into her cold dark emotionless eyes. “ you have to fight it!” “ayame destroy this worthless dog” ayame raises her katzunas…so ayame you are going to give up? He closes his eyes and suspects his life to end…..only when he opens them he finds ayame's katzunas lodged in her own sides knocking out 2 shards. “…..inuyasha……I am trying to fight it…but….i can't do it alone….i need you to help get these shards out…” “how many are there” “seven” just then she falls to the ground and starts hacking up blood. “ remove the shards in my chest, stomach and back…..” “are you crazy? If I do then you will die” “inuyasha if you don't then i will kill you and everyone else!....you have to” suddenly her eyes go black again. Inuyasha raises his sword only to get sliced 6 more times by her katzunas…shes write if I don't do something me and her will die. “hahaha…..inuyasha you are pathetic…can't even kill a worthless human” ayame then uses her powers to blow inuyasha back and knock over several houses….she walks closer to his body to discover that he is unconscious and bleeding. “kill him now” she readys her katzunas for an attack as inuyasha gets up and flips behind her and ……ayame please forgive me…..slices her in the back knocking out 3 shikon shards…..she falls to the ground as her normal self but in great pain. “….thank you inuyasha ….on…..only…2 more left…” she falls into inuyasha's arms. “ayame….you have to wake up…..come on ….i know that you aren't dead yet ….you cant be” her eyes open but the don't open as kind ayame……oh no naraku is still controlling her. Her katzunas go right through inuyasha's midsection….and out of instinct slices his claws through her chest(technically the front of her right shoulder) knocking out only 1 shard while one still remains. Darn I was only able to remove one of the two shards left…with that being said he passes out….although this weakens naraku's control…she can at least fight for control. “ayame why don't you go ahead and kill him now….end his suffering….go ahead you know you want to” “no I don't…..i….i wont….i wont kill my own brother…..but I will kill my-self…to save…him…” inuyasha I am sorry for not being strong enough to fight him from the start. She grabs her katzunas while still fighting naraku's hold……..and thrust one of them in the middle of her sternum (for those of you who don't know what that is it is the bone in the center of your chest between your ribs)….she pulls it out and the shard out with it…she catches it in the air……as inuyasha regains consciousness….she falls to the ground….as inuyasha catches her….her breathing ceases and all you can hear is inuyasha screaming her name and naraku's laughter….he disappears into the distance….

 

Back at the village of the bone eaters well

 

“ayame…..we….we will make it….back to the village” inuyasha said werily as he carried an unconscious ayame on his back….jumping around as fast as he could …he didn't care about his wounds…..i will make it back to see kagome…..and save ayame…I have to….with kaede and the others waiting he walks through the door…taking one step inside….and falls….”INUYASHA!?” said in unisen by the whole group….they realize he must be exhausted ….his kimono covered in blood…both his and ayame's…

 

 

 

Later that night

 

“kaede inuyasha still has a fever….so I will go to fetch more herbs” said kagome “go ahead child I will watch him until ye return” I am not sure how that girl is doing though…I should go and check on her. She walks in to the room where ayame is resting…..she is still out cold….she may not survive….her fever has worsened. Kagome returns with plenty of herbs for the both of them. “inuyasha?” “yes …kagome” “how do you feel?” “I am feeling better….how is ayame?” “she still hasn't regained consciousness.” “I see” “I am sure she I will be fine inuyasha….right no you need to rest.” Ayame….you…were ready to die …..to save me…you almost did die too. Later that night inuyasha got up enough strength to walk to the next room but that was about all the strength he had. “ayame?” she doesn't respond (still out cold) althught he can tell she is still alive by hearing a rasping noise coming from her lungs “I just want you to know I am sorry for arguing with you about the food…if I hadn't….this would never of happened.” After saying that he props himself against the wall sits down and falls asleep.

 

That morning

 

Uhhhh….my head is pounding….why is it so bright? Her eyes open and she realizes where she is….i now where I am …but..how did I get here?....WHERE IS INUYASHA!?....looking around the room she notices his half demon self sleeping beside her bed still wounded and still feverish(but it is better)…..he stirs and wakes up. “ayame I am glad you are alive…..i want to ….” “don't….i don't care what you have to say…because I want to apologize for being so weak” “but you aren't….after all ….your still alive aren't you….that proves that you aren't weak” ….she chuckles a bit and says “thanks inuyasha” “thanks…..thanks for what?” “thank you for being there when I needed you”

This is actually a continuation….a sequel if you will……to another inuyasha story….its a short little insert actually….but I wrote this one first…..this was the first fanfic I have ever written …please enjoy…R&R!!!!
