In the morning, everyone woke up except for Angela. They were discussing in how she could get back. But no one noticed that Angela was already awake, wondering what he or she was talking about.
`I wanna go back home. I miss my mom, dad, and my little brother Stanton. I wonder how they are doing without me,' she thought.
Angela made a slight movement and Shippo caught it.
“Kagome, I think that girl is awake,” he said. Kagome looked back and walked towards her.
“How did you sleep Angela?” asked Kagome in English. Angela rolled to face Kagome.
“I slept well, thank you. It's weird sleeping on the ground. I guess I have to get use to it,” she replied.
Kagome giggled, “I know what you mean. You'll get use to it in time. Would you like breakfast? InuYasha caught some rabbit.”
Angela nodded her head. She got up and walked over where the group was sitting. She sat next to Miroku. All of a sudden, she felt a hand on her butt.
`Oh Miroku, would you ever learn?' she thought as she slapped him across his face and gave him an evil glare. Miroku knew what she was trying to say and sighed. Even though they knew different languages, body movements are great ways to communicate.
Kagome passed a plate to Angela and the girl ate quickly. She was hungry and it tasted very good.
When she was finished, she asked Kagome when she could teach her Japanese. Kagome guessed that they could start now. So, Kagome stood up and walked over to her infamous yellow bag. She pulled out paper and pencils and a small book from her world.
(A/N: I am not going to spend all this chapter, telling how she learned Japanese. I am just going to start writing her knowing Japanese. Let's just say that she's a quick learner!)
“Wow, Angela. You're a quick learner,” complimented Kagome. Angela blushed and smiled. She looked at the three and told them, “Hello, my name is Angela. I hope I won't burden you all when I travel with you.”
“Keh, whatever wench. Just don't get in the way when I battle,” said InuYasha. Angela just rolled her eyes.
“I don't think it won't be a problem. But, would you do the honor of bearing my children?” asked Miroku. All of a sudden, Sango smacked the back of his head.
“Ignore him. It's nice to meet you. It's just amazing how you got here,” said Sango.
“Tell me about it,” laughed Angela.
“Now, what are you wearing?” asked Sango.
Angela looked down, She was still wearing her black pajama bottoms and her black pajama t-shirt. Angela blushed, “Oh, I am wearing my pajamas. I came here wearing them, obviously.”
Sango nodded. It's the same type of clothing that Kagome wears basically. Even though she never saw her in her pajamas.
“Come on, we wasted enough time. We have to find more jewel shards,” said InuYasha, “So pack up and let's get moving!”
Everybody started packing his or her things, except for Angela. She didn't have anything to pack up. She decided to help everybody with his or her things.
Once everybody was done, they started heading to a nearby village where Kagome sensed a shard.
They arrived at the village and they saw a rather large demon terrorizing the poor villagers. Everyone immediately went into action to stop it. Shippo and Angela stayed behind since they couldn't do anything. Shippo had his foxfire and tricks, but it wouldn't do any good. Angela didn't have any fighting skills or any powers.
Kagome took out an arrow and had her purity powers flow though it. Then, she shot it at the demon. The demon howled and was about to slung at her when InuYasha came to rescue her. Next, InuYasha took out his Tetsusaiga and used Wind Scar, but the demon easily escaped it.
Sango used her boomerang and it sliced the demon's head from its body. The demon was easily killed.
“Kagome, where is the shard?” asked InuYasha. Kagome scanned the body and saw it in it's left leg. She told him where it was and InuYasha carved it out. He handed it to the Miko and she purified it.
All of the villagers went to them and thanked them. They were trying to convince them to stay. Eventually, they did. It was actually five to one. InuYasha was the one trying to get out of it, but he was outnumbered.
“But we wasted so much time because she came into the picture!” he whined. Angela was slightly upset, but didn't show it.
“We needed a break anyways, InuYasha. Let's just make the villagers happy and stay for the feast,” said Miroku.
Everyone walked away, not noticing that Angela wasn't following. `Am I a burden to them? Would I really help them at anything? Would I hold them back?'
A tear fell from her eye, and she walked into the dark forest.
