~Angela Speaks~
I ran through the forest with my tears going down my face. Never have I felt so low and a loser.
The thorny bushes were ripping my pajama bottoms. My legs started to bleed slightly when the thorns were scratching my legs.
Since it was nighttime and the sky was dark, I tripped over a small pothole. I fell flat on my face and I got more scratches and I twisted my ankle. Then, it started to rain. I started to cry. This was not a good day.
“Why, why me? What did I ever do wrong to deserve this?” I cried to the heavens. The starts were twinkling down at me, like they were laughing at me.
I moaned in pain and limped on. I was cringing as pain seared through my body. It seemed to me that my ankle wasn't twisted; it was broken! The worst thing that could happen would be a demon attacking me.
`Don't think like that Angela!' I thought. I kept on limping until I came across a hot spring. I moaned. Should I or shouldn't I?
Let's see, I have tons of scratches and I broken ankle. Will it hurt when I get into the hot spring? It looks very comforting, but I didn't want to risk it. All I should do is make a splint.
I started looking for a very durable tree branch. I found two and I ripped a strip of cloth from my already destroyed pajama pants. I placed one branch on one side of my leg and the other on the other side of my leg. I tied the cloth tightly so the branches would stay in place.
“Crutches would be good now,” I mumbled. I started to walk with a limp.
`I must find a way to back home, even if that means to be myself. I can't ask for Kagome and her friends, I am a burden to them. I had them waste time to look for shards because of me,' I thought.
All of a sudden, I heard a low growl. Hair on the back of my neck stood up. `No,' I thought. I knew what it was. A demon.
I started to walk a little faster, ignoring the pain that went straight up my body. It was either live or die, simple as that.
I heard the demon coming closer and closer. I couldn't run anymore. I leaned back to a tree, waiting for the demon to show itself.
It finally did. It looked like a hyena demon. It started to cackle, “Ha, ha, ha. Hello little human. Today is your death day. Get it? Ha, ha, ha!”
Crap was all I could think. How can I defend myself from a hyena demon that tells crappy jokes?
The demon came closer and closer. I felt its breath on my face. I squeezed my eyes shut, welcoming my new destiny.
But, the demon never killed me. It fell onto me. I opened my eyes and saw a tall man with long blond hair. He had a silver band around his head. His demonic ears were poking out of his hair. (A/N: OK, imagine the man wearing the same clothing as Kouga, but white). He had armor over his clothing. He wore sandals that had strings tying around his calves. He had a sword on his left side and a mason on the other. His wings were big and so purely white. He looked mouth watering.
But, weirdly, he looked like my brother, Stanton.
He knelt beside me; he placed his hands on my broken leg. Bright golden light was shone. I could feel that my leg wasn't broken anymore. This man healed me.
“Who are you?” I asked the man.
He replied, “My name is Angelo. I am here to give you a message.”
“And what would that be?”
“You are here for a reason. You are here to help your friends defeat Naraku.”
“How can I do that? I have no powers and no fighting skills whatsoever.”
“Ah, but that is where you're wrong. You see, you are a warrior angel. You weren't living in reality. Where you think that you lived, wasn't real. Actually, you were under a spell from Naraku. You were freed by your own powers.”
“If, that is so, how did I meet Kagome, InuYasha, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo?”
“Well, you were flying in the sky and was poisoned somehow. You fell and they saw you.”
“I guess that makes sense, a little. But, why did I think that I saw them on television?”
“I guess one of Naraku's incarnation went into Kagome's time with a shard and explored her world. Except, Then, it came back and told him information. He must have programmed your mind thinking that everything wasn't real. Also, that you weren't Japanese, but American. Somehow, he knew about the Americas, in Kagome's time.”
“How was I captured?”
“Well, that was my fault. We were picnicking and the sky turned dark. We were immediately knocked out. It's my fault. I should have sensed it. Please forgive me, Princess Angela.” He knelt in front of me.
I couldn't speak. Me? A princess? That's ludicrous I am just a girl that went through a television, right? But, everything he said made sense.
Everything in my head started to clear up. I remember. I remember my father, King Eugene. Yes, he was king of the heavens. Then, there's my mother, Queen Angelica, who died in a siege at the castle.
Angelo and I were picnicking that day when the whole incident happened. But, why did Naraku want me? Why did he think I was living another life? Damn, this whole thing is fucking confusing. There is only one way to make it sense, go to Naraku. But, I need to remember how to use my powers.
“Angelo?”
“Yes, your majesty?”
“Can you teach me how to master my powers?”
“Well, you can master your own powers, by trying to remember them. You had amnesia in a way. Here, let me place my hands to your head. I will command your memory to come back.”
He placed his hands on my head and in just a few seconds, I remembered everything. I opened my eyes and I could feel my powers flowing through my veins. My tattered clothes changed into the same thing Angelo was wearing. Except, I wore knee high boots and wore gloves that went up to my elbows and there were no fingers. I was holding the sword that my father's welder made and on my left side was another side that was my mother's.
“ I am going to have a small chat with Naraku. Tell my friends that I am OK and that I will catch up to them.”
Angelo bowed and I flew up into the sky.
