A/N: Hey guys, sorry for the LONG break, as usual. Instead of struggling through the summer, I decided to take the whole 3 months as a break, but now Im back! I will try to update continuously throughout the next 3 seasons, and maybe, if I get incentive (a.k.a. an increase in reviews numbers) then Ill attempt to continue through the summer. But that is a long way off. Anyways, in accordance to how many readers and reviewers Im getting I would like to update at least one chapter a week, but not always for every story. But I will do at least one chapter for this story once a month. There, Im not making promises that are too far fetched. But if you want to read more, more reviews always encourage me, hint hint. Also, if youve read the page when you first open up mm.org, it mentions that reviews really help authors. And I totally agree, nice comments always make my day, but flames and constructive criticism, not to group those together necessarily, are ALWAYS helpful. RECAP:
We last left Inu Yasha and Kagome as they fell asleep in each others arms after becoming mates. Before then we were introduced to a new, transformed Kikyo, and according to Kikyo, a new and transformed Kagome as well. What exactly did she wish for? Then Kikyo left in what seemed to be fear, heading towards the West. Could she really be enlisting the help of another of Inu Yashas enemies? Then we were introduced to a mystery man of shadows, and that is where we last left our heroes
And so the lovebirds have mated have they? That changes little. One more thing to destroy, but what of this new aura Im sensing, what is this blue color that seems to be surrounding them both. It matters not, we will surely defeat them, they think too little of the threat we pose to their lives, and with those words, a mysterious shadow who had been watching the entire interaction leapt off one tree and to the next. Making its way towards the West, it chuckled at the stupidity of their so-called victory.

Chapter 6: Deception
No need to worry, we both shall exact our revenge, Naraku, Kikyo said as she bowed her head deeply to the small figure in front of her. Theyll never suspect, she continued, not this, the fools! She began to giggle, Enough bitch, I have no desire to hear you, you live only until I no longer have use of you. Our guest arrives.
The candles in the room were put out as a fast wind swept through the area. Soon footsteps were heard and an outline appeared beside Kikyo. I see you have accustomed yourself to my home, I usually dont allow such filth. But when you allow me to avenge my fathers death and claim what is rightfully mine, I will consider your depths paid. Until then, remember whos castle you reside in, and that you will follow my orders. Kikyo giggled seductively and coiled her arms around his waist, nuzzling her face into his chest. Lord Sesshomaru, darling, Im so happy youve returned, she squealed. Disgusted, he pushed her to the floor, It matters not that you no longer have a body of soil and decay, yet I am curious as to why. Explain to me, exactly what you to achieve in battle a few weeks ago.
Gladly sire, Naraku boyish voice mocked, as he stepped forth from his corner and snapped his fingers. At the order Kikyo created a blast of purple aura and lit the candles around the room revealing Narakus new form. The room was quite a sight, filled with three unlikely allies, each with their own incentive. A beautiful, yet frightening priestess, who seemed human, a young, solemn Lord of the West, and the body of a young boy, Kohaku. Before we begin, let me unveil something that should be to your liking, the boy cooed, motioning forward with his hands. A hidden door behind him moved forward revealing 3 figures. They stepped forward and kneeled beside Kohaku, all with eyes that held no souls. Lord Sesshomaru, let me introduce you to Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. Sesshomaru smirked at this, and wondered what else Naraku had up his sleeve, he motioned for him to continue.
And now, I digress, you wanted a story, and you will have one. How shall I begin? Perhaps we shall start at the beginning, with the story of a despicable human and a repulsively kind priestess. Shall we entitle our little tale, Onigumo and Kikyo, or is there another title more to your liking? Kohaku giggled, Well, it appears I have caught your interest.
We all know how Onigumos love for Kikyo was the only thing that ever allowed Inu Yasha and his friends to win a battle. Always distracted, I, Naraku had to create entities from my body in order to keep my human heart at bay. So what better way to solve this problem than to rid myself of this burden, and what better way to do so then to allow Inu Yasha the honor. So we staged a battle. The priestess allowed my soul to inhabit her body, and I gave Onigumo my body. It was quite easily done, I absorbed all of my creations, Kagura and her siblings, and then left my body and entered the priestesses. She has some developed skills in several useful areas. Onigumo too had useful skills, the most useful perhaps being his hatred for Inu Yasha and the relationship he and the priestess shared. So he willingly fought Inu Yasha, and didnt even refuse the myriad of demons I brought to his aid. Sadly, he was easily defeated in battle, not even a proper strike from your Tetsusaiga destroyed his soul, my body, and my useless fortress. Kikyo and I escaped and left Inu Yashas friends, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo to clean up the mess. Whilst we watched from a distance and regained our strength they deposited Inu Yasha and Kagome in the priestess Kaedes willing hands and ceremonially buried all the bodies. Including that of young Kohaku, the child whos shard had been removed without too much of a second thought from his sister Sango. Seizing the opportunity, we traveled dug out the boys body and preserved it in a nearby village and then followed Miroku and Sango, back to the Kaedes hut. There we used Kikyo to lure Kaede out. Kikyo performed quite a little speech, didnt you? Show the lord your skills! Naraku ordered.
Smiling Kikyo stepped towards Lord Sesshomaru, dropped her gaze to the floor, and then fell to her knees. She looked up at him, with tears in her eyes. Sister, I have wronged you and myself, and Kami take mercy upon me. I ask you to heal my soul and rid me of my sins, and I am well knowing of the consequences. Will you help your only sister? Or will you allow hell to claim me in my finals hours?
Kohaku laughed, My, she is quite a spectacle. Well the old hag bought it and easily gave up her life, thinking that her sister was to follow her to the afterlife. How wrong she was, pity, she wasted her life. Kikyo absorbed all her miko powers and was purified and given human form. Using her new powers, we returned to our little village and restored Kohakus body, to which I transferred my soul. It feels amazing to have full control of an entire body. I no longer have the burden of that fool Onigumo, and can easily kill Kikyo with my powers, I have complete strength, considering I no longer need to create pathetic beings such as Kagura to do my bidding. To prove his control and power Naraku, in Kohakus body reappeared next to Kikyo and took her by surprise. Raising her off her feet by her neck and causing bleeding. Suffice to say, defeating a mere human is far beyond me, yet I need her, he said tossing her aside, so I will allow her to live. Inu Yasha and Kagome dont have the will to kill her yet, and this may come in handy.
Ah yes, I must continue with my lovely little tale, Kohaku grinned as silken words spilled from his mouth. After Miroku helped our little Sango to get over her brothers death by a night of comfort, low and behold, he appears once more before them. Easily drawn into my trap they followed me far into your territories, where I was able to contain their souls and harbor shells into their bodies. I can easily control them, which should be of use. And here we are at your service, to do your bidding, and retrieve your Tetsusaiga so you may exact revenge upon the hanyou whos mother caused your fathers death. Quite simple, if I do say so myself. But, then the question can easily be posed, why would we ever want to help you? There is nothing in it for us? Well, I must contradict you my good friend, for Kagome may have wished on the jewel, but in order for her wish to be granted and stay that way the jewel must remain intact within her body. So when she dies, they jewel will be easily retrievable for use. So why not just kill her, you may ask? Well, first we must taint the jewel of four souls, and what better way than to put confusion and pain into their lives? And so my Lord we suggest you come into play, perhaps you can win Kagomes heart, and then we will be well on our way to accomplishing our goals.
And if I decide just to kill you now instead Naraku?
I prefer to be called Kohaku now, Naraku died when Onigumo was given his body, I am a youkai no longer burdened by the human heart. But you seem to be my lord, or am I mistaken? For we do have a young girl, Rin is her name, correct? I would hate to see anything happen to her. Besides, how better to exact your revenge then by causing your lowly half-brother pain and then being able to kill him after he was suffered all possible emotional hurt? I think its an excellent plan.
You seem to be well planned out Kohaku. I will allow you to continue your plans and you may stay in the Western most part of my lands, but remove yourself from my castle immediately. I believe a young girl named Kagome will soon become my guest.
As you wish, my lord, Kohaku smirked as he, Kikyo, Sango, Miroku, and Shippo all disappeared with a gust of purple wind.
Jenken, show yourself, Sesshomaru growled. Jenken appeared cowering before his masters feet, keep an eye on those fools, do not allow them near the castle, and do not allow them to harm what is mine, or else it will be your head I will claim. Jenken nodded and rushed off through the door which Naraku had brought Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. I will not be made a fool in his little game! Sesshomaru yelled as he quickly transformed and left the castle to roam the Western territories and make his way to Inu Yashas forest.
