Sesshomaru marched down the halls towards the front door. Everyone was in his wake and Kai walked directly behind him.

"Where are you going?" Kai asked.

"Away from here. Kirara's not safe. I suggest you all leave until that thing has left," Sesshomaru said kicking the front doors open and started to descend the stairs.

Sesshomaru went to step down from the last step but was hit by an invisible force and thrown back into Kai, Ali, and Ryu. Sesshomaru growled. Kirara remained still in his arms. Kjell took a step forward and reached out. He felt the barrier and it allowed him to pass. Sesshomaru stood and tried again. The same thing happened. Kjell thought a moment.

"Sesshomaru-sama. Could you bring Kirara here?" Kjell asked.

Sesshomaru moved next to him, "What's on your mind whelp?"

Kjell took Kirara's hand and reached for the barrier again. He was shot backwards. Sesshomaru had to duck to avoid him. Luckily Kjell landed on his feet.

"It's a barrier alright. Meant to keep Kirara in. She can't leave even if carried out," Kjell said moving next to Sesshomaru again, "Whatever this thing is, it's not letting her escape easily."

Sesshomaru growled. Kai turned to everyone.

"Everyone, I suggest you leave. There's no point in staying," Kai said.

Lesser lords began to take their leave. Koga was off in a flash. Only the taiyoukai and their families remained.

"What are you planning?" Ryu asked.

"I'm sure Sesshomaru isn't leaving without Kirara. I also can't leave. This thing trespasses on my lands. I'll stay as well," Kai said.

"Then so will I," Kjell said.

"No. You have to accompany your mother to the smaller castle. She needs to be protected," Kai said.

"And what about you. This thing has killed seven men already. I doubt even you and Sesshomaru can take him alone. I mean, he got past Sesshomaru's barrier with ease and it didn't alert Sesshomaru in the least bit," Kjell argued.

"Then if we fail you have to be alive to take my place. That is final!" Kai yelled.

Kjell bowed, admitting defeat and escorted his mother out of the barrier. The other lords and their families bowed and left. Kai looked to Sesshomaru and Kirara. She had fallen asleep in his arms at some point.

"Shall we?" Kai said motioning inside.

Sesshomaru nodded. The two took refuge in the dinning hall where the pillows still sat from when the ladies were locked in there. Kai ordered the servants to catch up with Kjell leaving just the three in the huge castle. Kai returned to Sesshomaru laying Kirara down on the pillows.

"Is she alright?" Kai asked.

"She's sleeping. This whole thing has taken too much out of her. She's been having nightmares so bad she'd wake up screaming, I think she's feeling some pain from those who had been killed, she had nearly been raped, and she knows this thing is after her. I don't think she can take anymore," Sesshomaru said.

"Nightmares? Then is it a good thing she's sleeping? She might have another," Kai said sitting down next to Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru glanced at her. He had forgotten that tid-bit of info. He silently prayed to whatever Kami listening that she'd have peace for a while.

Inuyasha picked himself up from the crater Kagome just put him in.

"How was I supposed to know?! I didn't think you were in the way!" Inuyasha yelled.

Kagome turned around reveling that she was covered in a lot of mud and dirt.

"That's because you can't think!" Kagome yelled.

Inuyasha was about to retort when Koga burst through the fighting couple.

"Kagome, your friend…wait a moment," Koga said then turned on Inuyasha, "What the hell did you do to her puppy?!"

Inuyasha growled, "I wasn't my fault, ya mangy wolf!"

"SIT! And it was too!" Kagome yelled.

Koga turned back to her, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. But what were you saying about my friend?" Kagome said.

Koga shook his head, "Your fire neko is in trouble. She's locked inside the Southern Castle by a barrier and she was nearly raped. As far as I know, Sesshomaru was staying with her," Koga said.

"I told you not to let Kirara go with my bastard of a brother!" Inuyasha yelled while dusting himself off from another `sit'.

Koga froze and turned around to face Inuyasha again, "Y-your brothers with the taiyoukai of the Western Lands?"

"Feh," Inuyasha said crossing his arms and turning away, "So what?"

`T-that means dog-turd is a higher-ranking demon than me. Meaning Kagome would like him better? No,' Koga thought.

"Don't," Inuyasha said.

Koga snapped out of it, "Don't what?"

"I know what you're thinking. I gave up on that life years ago. Just show us to Kirara and explain what's going on," Inuyasha said.

Koga nodded. Kagome climbed on Inuyasha's back. Inuyasha motioned for Sango to do the same. Koga looked on.

"Well?" Inuyasha asked.

"Well what, dog-turd?" Koga asked.

"Get Miroku! I can't carry him," Inuyasha said using Sango's boomerang to hold the two girls up (A/N Like when Sango passed out from her wounds when she first met Inuyasha and woke up on his back).

Koga looked over at Miroku, the houshi smiling at him. Koga began muttering curses to every inu youkai alive and allowed Miroku on his back. Inuyasha and Koga took off for the Southern Lands.

No! I can't believe you slapped me! Wait…you…slapped…me. Which means you touched me…**faints**

Inuyasha: **standing over Pari** What's with these fangirls of yours? Even if you slap them they faint.

Sesshomaru: Bonuses for when I try to shut them up. It works.

Inuyasha: But…why?

Sesshomaru: Because, you baka, they worship me. Or hadn't you read what she wrote in one of her fictions. She can't torture me because she worships me.

Inuyasha: Oh but she can tie me up in dock type.

Sesshomaru: **smirks** Another plus to having fangirls that worship you.

Inuyasha: -_-*

Sesshomaru: **picks up cue card** Oh. Pari wants you to review. She'll update as soon as she can. She's having a little trouble with time. Some…school thing? When did women start going to school?

Inuyasha: Since 500 years after our time.

Sesshomaru: What? That's it. **picks up Pari and carries her over shoulder** Pari and I have to talk.

Inuyasha: o.o?
