InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A Fluffy Little Tale ❯ A Human Encounter ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

A/N) Weird dang fic. Too many odd Sesshy pictures inspired it. I thought that it would be a neat idea. Don't worry, Sesshy is only nice for the first couple of days, then he's back to being Sesshy again.

Be nice and review please. You won't get any more chapters outta me otherwise.

disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha and I definitely don't own Sesshoumaru, though I would do anything to call him mine. >.<

A Fluffy Little Tale
Chapter One: A Human Encounter

This was impossible.
Kagome looked at her cousin and sighed. "You can't come, Stella."

Stella glared at Kagome. "I think that you're wrong, Kags. I am coming. You got my hopes up. I'm going now."

"How did I get your hopes up?" Kagome snapped. She was irritated with Stella now. The girl had taken it too far.

"First, you told me about Inuyasha. Then you told me about the other pretty demon guys there. Let me put it this way, just the concept of demons is good enough for me." Stella crossed her arms. Her blue eyes were shining dangerously. Her long black hair was swaying in the wind.

She was Kagome's American cousin.

"No, Stella. You're not coming." Kagome snapped at her and tugged her yellow backpack higher on her shoulder. "It's too dangerous there. You wouldn't be able to handle it."

Stella's eyes narrowed dangerously. She had a feeling that she knew why Kagome didn't think that she could handle it. "Why?" She demanded.

"You aren't from here." Kagome rolled her eyes, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "You lose your way in modern Japan. You wouldn't survive in the Fuedal Era."

Stella glowered and walked over to the well house. She slid the door open. "You think that just because I'm American that I am completely incapable of taking care of myself, huh Kags?"

"No!" Kagome exclaimed. "It's not that!"

"That's what you just said." Stella stated. "It's true that we do things differently there. Everyone who isn't from America thinks that we're all idiots. Well, we're not." (AN: yeah right) She sighed. "I bet you've never done any of the fun stuff, Kagome."

"What fun stuff?" She came to meet her cousin. "What could there be to do that's fun over there?"

"Ever played with a church sign? Ever drove a truck through the mud just for the heck of it? Ever tried water skiing? Have you ever done something for fun without worrying about the consequences of it all?" Stella frowned at Kagome's bemused expression.

"Sure I have."

"That didn't happen in the fuedal era?" She raised a brow.

Kagome bit her lip. "No." She finally admitted.

"Well, then." Stella stepped into the darkness of the well house and stood over the rim of the well. She gave Kagome a skeptical glance before she jumped. Half way to the ground it reacted.

Kagome watched many colored lights shine out of the well and groaned. She had been hoping that the well wouldn't work for her cousin. "So much for that." She said, jumping into the magical abyss.

Sesshoumaru stared at the sorceress in disbelief. "What the hell did you do to me?" He growled.

Sesshoumaru, Lord of the Western Lands, stared at his hands in astonishment. He felt completely different now. This could not be happening. "What did you do?" He repeated.

Lady Aline was a beautiful sorceress who had a fancy for picking on pompous demons like Sesshoumaru. "I just made you human. It will last for three days. Until then, you're just going to have to make do." She laughed and vanished into the night.

This is not happening. I am dreaming. That is the only logical explanation. He thought this and drug himself to a nearby spring. His reflection in the water angered him considerably.

Sesshoumaru was human.

There was no escaping that fact. His eyes were no longer golden. They were just a soft muddy brown. His skin was pale, but no longer held that ghostly sheen. His hair, he grimaced, was jet black.

"I am going to kill that bitch." He muttered.

Stella grinned as she skipped through the forest ahead of Kagome. She was not planning to wait on her boring cousin. Her plan, if it pulled through correctly, was to get lost so that Kagome could never find her. She was perfectly aware of the dangers of walking in a demon infested forest, but she couldn't bring herself to worry over it.

Humming with glee, Stella walked for three hours and just looked on. I bet that when Kagome first came here, she hadn't even been in the woods before. Stella frowned. She was probably right, but she felt a little guilty for being mean to her cousin like that. Well, if I hadn't said something, she wouldn't have let me come anyway.

At that, Stella scowled. It wasn't Kagome's choice to make anyway. She had always hated the way her cousin treated her just because she was from another country. She supposed one couldn't help but be proud of her origins, but Kagome was always so blunt about it.

She would never forget the time that Kagome had said that she couldn't do something because she wouldn't know how. When Stella asked why, her cousin simply remarked that she was from America and that they didn't do that there.

Stella had gotten really mad and bonked Kagome on the head, challenging her to a fight. Kagome snorted and laughed with her friends about Stella's brash behavior. She had never forgotten.

Huffing with annoyance at that memory, Stella spotted someone on the road. She had a fun time with guessing its gender. Well, it has really pretty hair, so it could be a woman. But it's very tall, so it could be a man. But it has pretty white clothes, that could make it a girl. But it could be gay, and it does have a manly build to it.

Stella gave up and approached the traveler. Oh goody, her mind implied, it's a smexy guy! "Hello!" Stella said, catching up to him.

His eyes flickered to her momentarily. She frowned. He was slumping oddly and looked horribly out of sorts with himself. "Cheer up there!" She cooed. "You look like you've had an aweful day."

"Get away from me." He told her.

"Kind of moody aren't ya?" Stella patted his shoulder. He flinched back. Then she remembered something Kagome had warned her about. Shrugging, she asked. "Hey, are you a demon?"

"Do I look like a demon to you?" He hissed. She sensed something hidden under his words.

"Well, one can never be sure. I was told that some demons have human forms. Mostly, those are the ones you should worry about. Although I was also told that there was some way to tell or not if a person was a demon. They usually had odd little things about them."

He grunted.

"So, what's your name?" Stella asked.

He frowned, contemplating on whether or not he should trust this odd girl. "Sesshoumaru, but be sure that you do not repeat that."

"Cool. I'm Stella." She said. "And I am traveling where you are."

"Why?" He said cooly.

"Cuz I don't want to have to deal with my cousin, and you are far more interesting.

"There will be a time when you won't care to like me anymore, girl."

"Stella. And I doubt that. I like you too much already. So where are you going?"

He scowled. "No where."

"Me too. So we shall go there together my friend." She crossed her arms. "Do they have food in No where?"

He smirked. "Sure."

She nodded. "I will surely like that place then."
