The sun shone brightly on the castle of the Higurashi's. The kind was studying a map of his boundaries, and his enemies trying to decide wether or not they should attack to extend his kingdom. The queen was in the kitchen baking sweets (although they had servants to do that sort of thing) and their daughter however, loved being outside. If you couldn't find her in the castle she was assumed to be outside.
"Milady, dont travel to far this time! you dont want any wild youkai to attack you!" Sango, her best friend and caretaker/bodyguard yelled out twards the young woman.
"Dont worry Sango-chan! ill be fine!" She called out, flashing her a sweet smile.
Kagome started running through the forest, her long black hair flowing wildly behind her. She ran until her legs decided on their own that they didnt want to run anymore. By this time she was almost on the outskirts of her father's kingdom.
'I wonder where i am' she thought although she had no clue where she was. She gave up on trying to figure out where she was and continued walking forwards in hopes she would eventually find something she recognized.

*~* Kagome's POV *~*

'hmmmm' I thought as i walked forward still. I reached the edge of what looks like a large cliff. 'ooh now this really doesn't look familiar' I thought frantically as i stepped onto the edge of the cliff. I felt the ground shift beneath me but thought nothing of it. The view was breath-taking!
I was on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The water was a clear sparkling blue color, 'oh how i want to go and take a swin, wait... my father never had an ocean in his territory.. didn't the demon lord in the next kingdom..... OH MY GOD!' i thought frantically as i spun around quickly getting ready to run the ground shook beneath me again and then broke off sending me falling backwards twards my death in the icy water below. A hand reached out and grabbed my wrist and pulled me against their hard chest.
'Oh no, I'm really introuble now' I thought slowly glancing up.

*~* InuYasha's POV *~*

I watched her as she walked through my father's woods, her long black hair cascading down her back like the finest silk. Her dress was light blue with long sleeves and dark blue trim. Her face looked like that of a porceline dolls. She looks like a goddess. Her body had all the right curves in the right places, nothing was overly large or under small she was, perfect.
'Wait, why is she walking twards that cliff? Doesn't she know that it's unstable?!' I thought angrily. I slowly started making my way twards her, slowly, not to startle her. I watched her jump slightly and i smelled her fear as she turned around quickly, too quickly for the soft earth as it broke off, causing her to fall backwards and twards the ocean.
'shit!' i thought as i reached out and grabbed her arm and pulled into my chest. Trying to protect her from the fall.

*~* Normal Again *~*

InuYasha held tightly to the girl in his arms as she stiffly stood with his arms wrapped possessively, trying to figure out what just happened.
"Are you alright?" he asked somewhat angrily.
"Y.yes, thanks to you" she said softly, her voice ringing in his ears.
"Feh" he huffed and shoved her away roughly.
She turned around and started walking to where she thought was home.
"Where do you think you're going wench?" he asked quickly
"Home, although i dont know which way that is." she simply stated and walked into the forrest.
"So you dont know where you are going but your going to walk through the dangerous forrest by yourself?" he asked with a worried expression on his face that quickly dissapeared into a mask of nothing-ness.
"Well, yes, I walked here by myself didn't I?, so i will be alright if i walk back home, besides, i think Sango will be looking for me by now." she stated simply, and continued walking away.
"Here" he sighed "let me walk with you, it's dangerous walking in the forrest by yourself expecially during this season." he finished, walking slowly beside her.
"This season?" she asked.
"Yes, the mating season of all Demons. They will be on the lookout for anyone they find attractive and your... " he trailed off, blushing a light pink, looking away.
'Oh, but as i said, i came all the way here by myself and nothing happened!" she stated calmly as she walked past him and deeper into the forrest.
His ears perked up as he looked to the left quickly "MOVE!" he yelled as he tackled the young girl to the ground. As soon as he did so, a gust of wind blew overtop of them as a tall black bear was standing over the two young people.
"Release the woman!" it roared loudly, bearing its long white fangs. **A/N Corny i know but hey! you think or something else ^^;;;**
InuYasha got up from sheilding Kagome and stood infront of the bear. "How about this, you walk away and let me finish walking her home" he stated with a smug look on his face.
The bear growled feircely and swatted at InuYasha. He jumped out of the way, gracefully landing behind the bear, unsheathing his sword. "You dont do it my way, then im going to do it my own way myself!" he yelled as he swung the sword at it's head cutting through it almost instantly. It slumped down quickly, spilling it's crimson blood all over Kagome's silky blue dress and all over her body.
"I... i... AAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE" she shreiked, causing InuYasha to cover his ears and cringe.
"GEESH SHUT UP!" he yelled out as he saw her slump forwards, he reached out and caught her before she fell. Picking her up bridal style he started walking twards his hide a way cottage that he often used when hunting to get her cleaned up and get her something she could wear until at least she got to where she was going.
