InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ A Hanyou's Love ❯ Damn it Kouga! ( Chapter 10 )

They woke up late in the afternoon, had breakfast and started debating on what to do next...

 

-“I say we sleep more...” Inuyasha said with a big yawn.

 

-“No way! I thought you wanted to find more jewel shards today!” Miroku exclaimed.

 

-“Well, I changed my mind. I'm tiered!”

 

-“Miroku's right Inuyasha. Once we find more jewel shards we can take out Naraku and

everyone can get they're revenge!” Sango exclaimed with some anger in her voice.

 

-“Plus, I can get rid of this accursed hole in my hand!” Miroku said, re-enforcing the fact that they should get going soon.

 

-“Ok, I guess you guys are right.” Inuyasha said with a sigh “Let's get going.”

 

-“Great!” exclaimed Sango “I'll go get Kilala!” she finished while running back to the hut.

 

 

After about 2 hours of walking and talking, Kagome's head shot up.

 

-“I can sense 3 jewel shards! And they're coming this way, fast!”

 

-“Wolf” Inuyasha said with a low growl. A few seconds later, Kouga was there.

 

-“What are you doing here, muttface?” he said with distaste in his voice.

 

-“We're here for your jewel shards! So hand `em over!” Inuyasha said angrily

 

-“No way! I ain't givin' up MY jewel shards to a muttface like you!”

 

-“Look, Kouga, we just want your jewel shards. Then we'll go away, okay?” said Kagome, getting kind of frustrated. Kouga just looked at Kagome, then back at Inuyasha.

 

-“I'll trade my jewel shards for Kagome as my mate.” he said. Inuyasha turned red with rage and Kagome looked pretty angry herself.

 

-“KOUGA!!!!” Kagome yelled (me: Okay, maybe angry is the wrong word...) . “WHAT DO YOU TAKE ME FOR??!!!!! I'M NOT JUST AN OBJECT YOU CAN AUCTION OFF!!!!!” Sango and Miroku had to hold her back so she wouldn't rip Kouga's head off.

 

-“Kagome's right! I wouldn't trade her for ALL the jewel shards! So stop wasting time and hand em over so we can beat the crap out of Naraku!” Inuyasha yelled as he took out his sword, ready to fight Kouga.

 

-“Fine, have it your way!” Kouga yelled as he charged towards Inuyasha.

 

-“Kagome, stay here with Sango and Miroku. I'll take care of Kouga” He said, not taking his eyes off Kouga.

 

-“Okay. Be carful Inuyasha.” she said.

 

Inuyasha just smiled at her and ran at Kouga.

Seconds later, Inuyasha and Kouga collided, sending each other flying in different directions. Kouga did a flip and landed on his feet, but Inuyasha didn't see it coming and wacked into a tree.

 

-“No, Inuyasha ....” Kagome whispered still being held back by Sango.

 

Kouga took advantage of Inuyasha's fall and charged at him, claws ready. Inuyasha moved at the last possible second, making Kouga jam his claws deep into the tree. While Kouga was aggressively trying to pull his claws out of the tree, Inuyasha was getting ready to unleash his Windscar. He unleashed the Windscar just before Kouga got his hands loose. The attack hit the tree, shredding it instantly.

 

-“Inuyasha has done it!” Miroku said, half happy, half relived.

 

-“Wait.....” said Kagome. “Kouga's not gone yet, he's still alive!”

 

-“What?! How could he survive Inuyasha's Windscar?!”

 

-“Inuyasha......missed.” said Kagome.

 

-“What?!?!” Sango and Miroku exclaimed.

 

Inuyasha walked up to the remains of the tree, not knowing that Kouga had survived. Suddenly, Kouga jumped out of the bush beside the tree remains, heading straight for Inuyasha!

 

-“INUYASHA! LOOK OUT!!” Kagome yelled, but she was too late. Kouga had slashed Inuyasha deep in the chest when he had turned around towards Kagome's voice.

 

-“NO! INUYASHA!!” Kagome cried while she ran to him. He fell to the ground, barley breathing.

 

-“I'll finish you off now, muttface!” Kouga said, flexing his hand.

 

-“No Kouga!” Kagome was now standing between him and Inuyasha, arms outstretched. “Don't come any nearer!”

 

-“Out of the way Kagome! This half breed doesn't deserve to live!”

 

-“I won't let you hurt him anymore! To get to him, you'll have to go through me!” she cried with tears in her eyes.

 

-“Fine, you can die along with your lover!” he said with a growl.

 

-“She will do nothing of the sort!” It was Miroku! He had his hand out in front of him, ready to unleash his Wind Tunnel. “I'll suck you into my windtunnel, never to return to the light of day! I'll do it, unless you leave.....” Kouga backed off slightly, from seeing what Miroku's right hand was capable of once before. “....NOW!” Miroku yelled and Kouga turned around and ran away at full speed. Kagome looked at Miroku and gave him the best smile she could muster.

 

-“Thank you, Miroku.” she said. Then she looked down at Inuyasha.

 

-“We better get him back to Kyeade's.” Sango said. Kagome just nodded.

 

-“Yes, let's hurry” she said.
