Inuyasha looked over at the woman. It hadn't been her that had spoken. At that moment a strange man entered the clearing. Inuyasha sniffed the air. He was no human, but like the woman he wasn't a demon. The man looked over to Inuyasha and Inuyasha instantly knew what he was. The man had pale skin, long dark hair, and fangs. The man was a vampire.
" Damian, don't call him a half-breed!" Amaris said.

" Why not?" he answered. Amaris ignored his comment and turned to Inuyasha. She stared deep into his amber eyes.
'Your name is Inuyasha, isn't it?" she asked. Inuyasha flinched when he heard her ask that. He was curious to know how she had known that, but only nodded his head.
" If you agree to not attack me, then I'll let the vines let go of you." She told him. Inuyasha was confused.
'How could she let the vines let go? Is she a miko?' he wondered. Once again he simply nodded his head. At that the ground began to shake again as the vines left Inuyasha and went back into the ground.
" Who are you?" Inuyasha asked.
"Iam Amaris, and this rude bastard is my companion, Damian."
"I thought vampires couldn't travel during the day." Inuyasha said.
"Not unless they still have a pure soul." Damian responded.
"Inuyasha, I need your help, and I know you don't trust me. I won't harm you or any of your friends. I'm looking for one of my sisters and I thought I sensed her around here." Amaris told him

Inuyasha stared at Amaris. "What do you mean you sensed your sister?" he asked.
" We have a mental connection, we can sense where the other is, but only to a certain degree." she replied. Inuyasha thought for a moment and then said, "Well, I haven't seen anyone that looks like you around here."
" She doesn't look like Amaris," Damian told him. Inuyasha was confused. Human siblings normally look alike, yet she didn't smell like a human. Inuyasha noticed that she was staring directly into his eyes.
"Maybe some of your friends can help me. Maybe a monk, or perhaps an older miko?" Amaris asked.
"How did.. why.. " Inuyasha stummered. 'How could she have known about them?' he wondered.
" Amaris, means to ask if we can camp with you and your commrades while we try to find her sister." This time the panther spoke.
Inuyasha jumped back a bit when it did. The panther seemed to be of another world.
"How can this animal speak? " He asked.
"I'll explain once I can rest." she answered.
"All right, but you are not to harm any of my friends." he told her.
Inuyasha motioned for them to follow him and as they did, he heard a voice in his head. It was her voice.
'Don't worry Inuyasha, I won't harm anyone, especially Kagome. Even if I were to attack, you would find yourself very weak against me.'

A shiver went down Inuyasha's spine as the voice stopped. When he walked out of the woods, he noticed that Kagome still wasn't there. He looked behind him and saw that Damian was walking with Amaris's hand in his. Inuyasha quickly turned around when he realized the vampire was giving him a death stare. They kept walking until they came to the camp. Sango was once again smacking Miroku across the face. She looked up when she heard a giggle coming from Inuyasha's direction.
"Inuyasha, did you just giggle?" she asked.
"No, it was probaly her," he answered as he moved so that Sango could see Amaris and Damian.
" Oh, Hi! Who are you?" Sango asked. she tensed up a little bit when Damian smiled, exposing his fangs.
"I am Amaris, and this is Damian. Don't be alarmed by by him Sango, he's really harmless."
" Hey, I am not!" Damian replied. At that moment, Miroku stepped up to Amaris and got down on one knee, and asked, "Amaris, will you bear my children?" At that moment , Amaris put her arm on Damian's shoulder because in his eyes was pure anger.
"Calm down , Damian, I can take care of myself." she told him. At that moment Amaris turned to Miroku and as she stared at him, the wind around him began to pick up speed. A second later he was dangling upside down in the air.
"Bitch!! How dare.. Ohhh my stomach." miroku replied as he began to spin around. Then the wind stopped and he fell to the ground.
"How can you do that?" Sango asked.
"I would prefere to explain everything if I was sitting down because, it's quite a long story."
"Of course." sango said. Everyone walked over to where the stew was cooking. Well, everyone but Miroku who was still laying on the ground. Amaris sat down on a log, and so did Sango.
"Well, I am not a human as Inuyasha already knows, but I'm not a demon either. What I am is a type of creature unknown to many. That is why you are so confused Inuyasha. However, if Sango were to have your sense of smell, she would know what I am. Her people, the exterminators, learned what they know from my people. I am..."
"An Elf!!" sango said interrupting Amaris. Inuyasha looked extremly confused as Sango said that.
"Yes, that is what I am and always will be. Inuyasha, I can hear your thoughts, I know you're wondering why I look like a human. That is for my protection. I also know you are wondering why I need to be protected that is because..." amaris obviously was having difficulty with her next words.
"It's because she's royalty." This time it was Damian who spoke. Sango noticed that his voice was so deep and rich, nothing like she had heard before. She also noticed how his arm was around Amaris's shoulder, almost as if it was comforting her.
"Royalty?? But, how can that be? Demons killed all of the last royal family centuries ago." Amaris shuddered as Sango finished speaking.
"Demons?" this time Inuyasha spoke. He seemed upset by what sango had said.
"No, they only killed my parents, and my grandparents before they could recieve their immortality, and before our powers fully awakened." Amaris answered. "I was born after my mother and father recieved a visit from two angels. My mother, thinking they were poor, elderly humans, had taken them in and had showed them kindness. For a few years, before that my mother had given birth to a son. Unlike the customs of most societies, only the women could inherit the throne. My mother yearned for a daughter. When she helped the angels, they told her that the gods would give her anything her heart desired, but they would also multiply it five times full. My mother didn't even hesitate. She asked for a daughter. What she didn't know was that the gods intended to give my sisters and myself abilities that no other living being possessed. When I was born, a curse was laid upon me. Beginning on the eve of my 7th birthday, if I were to openly admit that I loved someone, then... death would visit them, and I would not be able to stop it. Over the next four years my sisters were born. We all had extraordinary powers. They each controlled a single element and had a power reserved only for angels. But, I had them all. I still do. But, when I was born I killed the man who placed a curse on me. Or so my parents thought. They believed the curse was gone. "But on the eve of my seventh birthday, tradegy struck. I was awoken in the middle of the night by my mother. I was rushed out of the castle and placed in front of my brother, Radella, on our horse. Before I go any further, Inuyasha, I know you are wondering about Sirama and how he can talk. I believe Sango can explain this one."
"Well, I do remember being told about this when I was little. Every elf recieves a guardian when they're born. The guardian is in the form of an animal that represents the person's future self. The guardian is in charge of protecting the person's soul. Sirama is Amaris's guardian." Sango stated.
"That's right. Now you understand Inuyasha?" amaris asked as inuyasha simply nodded."Good, now where was I. Oh, my sisters were also awakened and were sent in different directions. Radella and I were told to ride away as quickly as possible. They said that our horse knew the way. And with that, we were gone. After we left, the castle was attacked by hords of demons. Everyone, except for a few hidden servants, were slaughtered. I didn't know it until a few years later. We arrived at a village and for several years we were trained. But Radella secretly was jealous of me because he had no powers. Then he was captured one year. I went and searched for my sisters. I found them and met Damian along the way, before he was a vampire. We had to battle and we were victorius, but it was not the end. We were weakened, so monks incased us in stone. All of my sisters awoke in a different year and some, in a different country. Then, I awoke. I had no memory of who I was. Two years later, I remembered everything. My powers were awakened. I searched for my sisters again. I then ran into Damian, who happens to have his soul, but only one memory of before he was bitten. I have found all of my sisters, but one. Her name was Gaia, but I believe it has been changed. She looks nothing like me. Her hair is as dark as a raven's wing. Her eyes a bold, earthy color. She is kind, and caring. She may have already began to show signs of her powers. To you, she would look like a human, and seem like a miko."
" Shit!" sango explained. The description that Amaris had just given them matched Kagome exactly.
"Inuyasha, she's talking about Kagome." she told him.
"It can't be, I mean she's human. I would have known if she wasn't!" he yelled back at sango.
'inuyasha, calm down. Kagome may not be Gaia. If I were to meet here, then I would know.'

Once again Inuyasha heard the voice in his head. Inuyasha looked at Amaris. There was something different about her all of a sudden. Her eyes had changed color. Instead of the lively green, they were now a dull gray. She looked almost sad.
"Inuyasha, I know how you feel about Kagome. I just need to find my sister, or else the world is doomed."
Inuyasha looked angry and worried. "I don't have any feelings for Kagome, we're just friends!!"
"I'm sorry Inuyasha. But, may I still meet her??" Amais asked.
" I guess." Inuyasha said. "But only if I can see your elven form."
"How dare you ask that of her!" Damian yelled. He was obviously angered.
"Damian, it's about time I do this. It won't hurt me to show him." Amaris told him. "Inuyasha, I can't show you until tonight. I have to rest before this pain in the ass will allow me." Damian did not seemed pleased at all.
" All right. You can camp with us if you wish, but we don't have room in the tents." Inuyasha told her.
" Don't be rude Inuyasha!" Sango said to him.
"Sango, it's alright. We don't to sleep in tents. If you don't mind we'll feel better in the woods." amaris said.
"ok, I guess. Do you guys need anything to eat?" Sango asked.
" No, elves don't need to eat that often. We'll just get some rest so that I will enough energy to show Inuyasha my elven form."
And with that the three newcomers headed to the woods.
