Epilogue:
Still sitting in their tree, Inuyasha and Kagome had to come up for air. They stayed in Goshinboku till late in the afternoon talking about what had kept them apart for far too long. Neither one really wanting to go back and face the teasing from Miroku for his being right.
“I think we need to stop,” Inuyasha said, his breathing ragged.
“Why?” Kagome asked leaning forward into his chest. As the kissing had progressed, somehow she'd found herself turned around to face her mate.
“Because we're gonna fall out of this tree, that's why,” Inuyasha grumbled.
“You? Fall out of a tree?” Kagome teased.
“Keh, you have me a little distracted, wench,” Inuyasha grinned at her blush.
“I think I know which side of the well I'll be staying on,” Kagome smiled as he wrapped his arms around her torso.
“Guess so,” Inuyasha sighed, content.
“We should probably start back to the village now,” Kagome said tilting her head up to look at him.
“Yeah,” he said. Inuyasha gathered her up against his chest and jumped down. He set Kagome on her feet and took her hand. He smiled and moved to put his arm around her shoulders when she leaned into him.
“When do you think I should make my wish?” Kagome asked after a while.
“You don't need to now,” Inuyasha murmured.
“What?” Kagome looked up surprised.
“You don't need to wish for the well. You'll be bonded to me. It will prolong your life so you can see your family again someday,” Inuyasha said. He continued while she stared at him in shock, “You can't be in two places at once, so you'll want to let the well close and just wait.”
“But wouldn't we know if that's what we did? We would have seen ourselves,” Kagome said sounding bewildered.
“Maybe we just stay really far away. There'll be too many of us if we let the well stay open,” Inuyasha explained.
“But, no!” she whined.
“What's wrong?” Inuyasha asked, concerned.
“What am I supposed to do with the jewel now!”

AN: Done! Now what am I supposed to do with it? Nobody wants to review it, so I can't figure out why not many people want to read it. I know its clichéd, but so is everything else. On to my other story...As always, happy writing!
