I tossed and turned all night unable to sleep, the look on Inuyasha's face when he saw Sesshomaru...it just plagued my mind even though it was dark out and I could barely make out the hair that fell down his shoulders I could see his face... I tried to chase after him, I looked all over the house for him, but he was gone from sight. I wish I knew what to do that would make this better. But what could I do or better yet what could I say he wouldn't listen to me...he probably hates me...

I stopped trying to sleep and threw back on my clothes from the night before and went back out onto the beach, only I walked until the house was completely covered by the trees. I looked back out to the ocean...and plopped down on the sand holding my knees and resting my chin on them. The stars were still out, but the moon was gone from sight. I figured it to be around four in the morning maybe almost five.

"Can anything else go wrong in my life! Fuck...ok God, Goddess, Siva, Odon, whoever the hell is up there give me a break!" I yelled not really expecting an answer. I just sat there watching the waves crash in and roll back out. I felt almost like a wave taking a step forward, but then taking two steps back. I wake up finding out Mom really isn't my mom, but Dan walks out...I was happy, then Mom dies I go back to Dan, I run away and come here finding friends, then I find out Dan is brothers with the guy that killed most of my friends family...and now this. Wow does my life suck.

I heard a noise behind me and I turned to see a shadowed figure. He was hidden by the darkness provided by the trees with long hair and a relatively muscular build.

"Inuyasha!" I got up and ran over to him embracing him in a hug. But when I looked up about to plead into his golden eyes I saw a smirk spread across a guy's face that wasn't Inuyasha. He grabbed on to me and clamped my mouth shut. I bit him and tried to break away.

"Inuyasha!!!" I yelled before the stranger picked me up and muffled my cries.

All my training to be able to stay hidden and deal with situations like these, yet I ran straight into his arms. Inuyasha of all times I need you...that was the last thought, it was all black from that point.



When I woke up I was chained by the leg in what looked like a cellar. It was cold and water dripped down from the ceiling. My head was aching and I felt dried blood on the side of my face. I tried as hard to get the chain to break from the wall, but my effort to free myself was futile. I looked around for object that I could try and use as a leverage to break the iron chain. A skill I had learned in training...but all that was in this cellar was a light bulb hanging a few feet above and a chair in the farthest corner and to my left was a door frame with a toilet which I was only two feet from.

I fell back down and I saw Naraku's and Dan's plan unfold before my eyes. They set the house on fire so that we would go to the summer home...and it was through dumb luck that Sesshomaru and I kissed that lead to Inuyasha running off leaving me alone. This is all a trap...Dan is finally going to have the final say.
If this was just three months ago...none of this would have happened, but why have us go to the summer house? There was more too this story than what was being lead on.

The cellar door opened and I looked up seeing that it was my captor. That son of a bitch...his hair was black and wavy as it went down to his shoulders. From the dark you would think it was Inuyasha. ..same build and long hair...only the guys face was hardened and his eyes cold without feeling I estimate his age to be about fifty or so.

"Look who finally rose from her sleep." The man said sitting in the chair that was by the corner of the cell.

"Who the hell are you and why the hell am I here!"

"Oh pardon my manners, but you should know little miss assassin. After all you are my niece." He smirked and my eyes narrowed.
"You are not my uncle! Now tell me what the hell do you want!" So this is the Naraku that everyone speaks of.

"Nu uh uh...a magician never reveals his secrets.”

“Some magician...don't think that my friends won't come after me. Your going to die!”

“You, the one who is chained up and hidden away is the one that is threatening me.” Naraku let out a laugh that sent ice down your spine.

“I may be chained, but you are the one that is going to die Inuyasha and Sesshomaru will make sure of that.”

“Ahh yes the sons of Inu No Taisho. Look little girl you don’t have any idea what you got yourself into. But I’ll save that for my brother to explain to you.” Naraku just got up let out another chuckle and went back up the concrete stairs.”

I put my back against the cold wall and closed my eyes. Dreaming of a better place.

I had been cooped up in this wretched place for a day now trying so hard to claw my way out and get the chain off of my ankle which was red and very bruised from how tight the chain was around it. I was miserable.

As I sat trying to hard to keep hope I looked to see that the door upstairs had crept open and Dan was coming down the stairs. I was really hoping that I wouldn't have to deal with him. I just don't want to hear him speak to me at all.

"Kagome." Dan said, but I just looked the other way and refused to even acknowledge his existence.

"You will look at me when I talk to you!"

"I have nothing to say to you!" I snapped.

"Naraku is willing to make a deal with you if you just cooperate." Dan was obviously lying. I wouldn't come out alive.

"Tell Naraku that he can shove his offer right back up his ass! You disgust me Dan."

"Just like your fucking parents."

"What do you have to say about my parents!" Dan just shrugged me off.

"By the way, Kagome, how long do you think you can keep your act up...eventually you will break." He said heading back up the steps.

"Dan what the hell is going on!" I shouted after him, he looked back at me with a smirk and then continued up the steps.

What does he mean act? Why did he just come down here to say so few words... Oh, Inuyasha, Sesshomaru come save me.

Meanwhile back at the Summer house:

"Sesshomaru this is all your fault!" Inuyasha yelled.

"You can't blame me for Kagome's disappearance! I refuse to believe that she ran off just because you happened to find us together and run off! If anything it is your fault! Kagome went looking for you and I heard her leave the house early in the morning probably still trying to find your dumb ass!"

"I have never seen Sesshomaru so upset." Sango said staring at the fight that had broken out.

"It gets worse..." Miroku replied.

"Sango? Why did Kagome leave us...does she not like me anymore..." The young kit said tears developing in his eyes.

"Oh Shippo, no Kagome loved you and something happened to her...she didn't leave she wouldn't do that, at least I wouldn't think." Sango trailed off.
"You know what Sesshomaru you can stand idly by and wait to see what will happen, but I'm going after her!" Inuyasha stormed out of the house slamming the door as he left. Sesshomaru just sighed and went into the living room.

"What do we do Miroku?" Sango asked.

"Nothing...."

"What ! Miroku how can we not do anything!"

"Just trust me Sango, we just have to wait a little longer."
"I hope you know what you are doing...because I won't forgive myself or you if something happens to Kagome. Come on Shippo you should take a bath." Sango said turning and guiding the kit upstairs.

"Bath time!" Miroku whispered as his face brightened with excitement.

Inuyasha walked all over he beach hoping to find any trace of Kagome. He finally caught a scent and followed it to a sand dune about a mile down from the house. He saw a pair of shoes lying next to an indent in the sand dune.

"She was here..." Inuyasha said picking up the sand that had been left from the place she sat down. He then saw footprints paced far apart and then stop as it headed further into the trees.

The foot prints then went on into a drag mark. Inuyasha clenched his teeth and had a vision of what had probably taken place that night she left. He couldn't help, but think that if he hadn't left he could have prevented her abduction.

He tracked the scent all day and into the night without stopping. He was persistent to free Kagome. What happened that made her leave didn't matter anymore, the kiss she shared between his brother didn't matter to him for the time being anyway...all that mattered was getting Kagome back and that was all he cared about.

He had followed the scent all the way to another mansion and it reeked of the awful smell of Naraku. He couldn't pick up Kagome's scent any more it was completely masked by that of Naraku's. Inuyasha stealthily circled the house and tried to find a way in.

Inuyasha finally concluded that the best way in was to jump up to the second story window and
take it from there.

When he managed to get to the windows ledge he saw that the room was a library and inside of it Naraku and who Inuyasha assumed to be Dan from the tapes that Kagome showed him.


"Naraku, are you sure you know what you are doing?" Dan asked.

"Brother are you having doubts in the plan? Do you not trust me?"

"Naraku...I don't think I can kill her." Dan looked over to the window and I pulled myself out of sight.

"Why is that?"

"Because her parents were one thing. Naraku we killed our brother...and Kagome is his daughter..." Dan was silenced as Naraku began to speak.

"Dan we had to do it. If we don't follow the plan than we would have killed him for not. Besides where does this sudden change of heart come from? You never showed remorse about it before...are you suddenly caring for the girl?"

"No, but I hate how Emily got involved...I hate how she found out and now.. she is dead."
"Dan, pull yourself together. She is dead you had to do what was planned. If Kagome isn't dead we will be...and it doesn't help at all that the sons of Inu No Taisho wants us dead." Naraku snapped.

"You're right...I'm sorry I had any doubt." Dan trailed off and left the room. Inuyasha eyes grew wide and as soon as Naraku followed Dan Inuyasha busted into the room. He snuck over to the door and slowly opened it peeking around the edge to make sure that Naraku and Dan were really out of sight. He then started to wonder around listening through the second story doors and looking at every possible cranny that Kagome could be in.

Inuyasha quietly went downstairs and still no sign of anyone. He let himself breath and that is when he was crept up upon. Inuyasha could hear the breathing of another person behind him and spun around throwing back his hand to catch the guy. The guy behind him which he saw to be Dan caught his throw.

"You bastard! Where is Kagome!" Inuyasha gritted retracting his arm and got a punch in Dan's chest.

"So you are Inuyasha." Dan smiled grabbing Inuyasha by the throat.

"Tell me where she is!" Inuyasha yelled again pushing Dan off of him.

"You will be seeing her in just a moment." Dan smiled and then from behind him he drew a knife and stabbed Inuyasha twice in the chest. As Inuyasha grasped his bleeding chest he looked over at Dan who just walked away and then all Inuyasha saw blackness as something struck his head with a fierce force.

I awoke from a restless sleep to see that I was laying in blood. I panicked and looked to where it was coming from only to see Inuyasha's lifeless body chained like I was and with a circle of blood around him. I scream escaped and I ran over to him and picked his head up. I knew it was a trap...and now Inuyasha is dead because of me. I was besides myself I couldn't lose him. I need him.

"Inuyasha!" My voice was cracked and tears flowed down my face without a pause.
"Inuyasha...please wake up...please." I was trying to plead for him to wake up, but he was losing to much blood. I ripped up the hem of my skirt and put one strip around his head wound, but I didn't have enough cloth to keep myself covered and stop his bleeding. So in a panic I threw off my shirt and ripped open his then proceeded to mop up the blood from his chest and stop the bleeding.

I sat there with Inuyasha's head in my lap and cried like I had never cried before. He was so badly hurt and I couldn't do anything to help him. Part of his hair was stained with blood all the way from the bottom of his ear and down. I stroked him and tried so hard to wake him up.

"Come on Inuyasha, you can't die on me damn it! I don't want the last thing that you saw of me to be with Sesshomaru...I want it to be with me...Inuyasha! I...I love you God Damn it!" Fear riddled my mind and my hands were dripping with his blood. I leaned down and rested my head on his tears were rolling off of my cheek and falling on his. I can't believe this...you can't die..

I don't know how long I remained like that...I had no sense of time anymore. It could have been ten minutes or it could have been half an hour. It didn't matter to me Inuyasha was gone...I couldn't understand why this was happening to me why everyone I love eventually dies, but I'm still here.

"K..Kagome..." Inuyasha whispered his head beading with sweat.

“Inuyasha!” I jumped and threw my arms back around him.

“You’re on my arm...” He gritted and I realized my knee had nestled itself onto his elbow. That wasn’t really what I was hoping he would say, but he is alive!

“Inuyasha I thought you were dead! I didn’t, I don’t, it’s all my fault that you’re here..” Tears developed again and Inuyasha brought his hand up and held my face.

“Why cry? I’m not dead yet.” Inuyasha smiled.

“I’m sorry Inuyasha...this was a trap to get you here...I don’t know what’s going on.”

“Kagome, I’m just glad you’re ok.”

“Even after...Inuyasha I really didn’t want to kiss Sesshomaru...you shouldn’t have come here.” I looked down at my hands still covered with his blood.

“I heard what you said...when I was past out. I was trying to find you in my sleep and I heard your voice in the background.” Inuyasha reached back over and placed his hands on mine. A blush spread through my face.

“Kagome we will get out of here. I promise.” Inuyasha sat up and scooted over to the wall to where he could prop his back up and beckoned me over. When I went over I nestled into his chest which I was glad to see had stopped bleeding and rested my head on his shoulder. His arms held me tight and for the first time in my life I felt like I had nothing to worry about even though I was chained to a wall while the guy I love had serious injuries.

I looked back up at Inuyasha and he moved his hand to cup my face and the next thing I knew our lips were locked. Warmth and giddiness swept through my body and I ran my fingers through his hair. I had completely forgotten that I wasn’t wearing my shirt.


A/N: Well guys that was the sixth chapter and sorry for it taking me so long to put up I had a really long weekend oh boy...anyway the chapters from this point might take a little bit longer to put up with school starting, but wish me luck as I start a program that allows me to start college early. ^^ Thank you all who have stuck with this story.
