Nakamura sat down next to InuYasha, who was happily slurping on Ramen. Nakamura couldn’t help but smile. Her brother had always had a habit of thinking with his stomach. She leaned on the tree behind her and looked up at the full moon. She almost hoped a fight would come along tonight, simply because her and InuYasha’s demonic powers would be at there greatest.

Meanwhile, back at the river, Koga was pacing back and forth, many thoughts dashing through his head.
But I love Kagome,” he thought “Why does a mere mutt make we feel this way?
He growled softly in his throat out of frustration, and another thought crossed his mind: mating season was approaching quickly.
Oh great, now the other mutt will never leave Kagome alone.” he thought “But, maybe his protectiveness for his sister will be stronger than his need to mate,” he thought hopefully. He didn’t know, He’d just have to wait.
“Koga?” a familiar voice rang softly from behind him.
He turned on his heel, happy to see Kagome.
“Yes Kagome” he answered, getting ‘that look’ in his eyes.
“I’m making dinner, and I didn’t know if you wanted...”
“Thanks, I’m starved” he said with a smirk and he followed her back to camp.

“He wolf, why’re you wearin’ Nakamura’s ribbon?” InuYasha demanded.
Even through the mangy wolf’s blood, he could still depict his sister’s scent.
“She let me borrow it for my wound, mutt” Koga snapped back.
Nakamura rolled her eyes, “Here we go again...” she thought.
“Well, you’d better wash your nasty wolf blood off it when done,” InuYasha snapped back..
“I plan to, stupid mutt!” Koga yelled back.
“Mangy wolf!” InuYasha screamed.
“Oh my god SHUT UP!!!” Nakamura finally screamed, her ears plastered to her head to muffle the sound.
When silence was, heard, they popped back up to their normal post.
“Thank you! Jeez, you two fight worse than an old married couple” she said, relaxing and closing her eyes.
“Finally someone who understands!” Kagome said.
The others nodded in agreement, as they too had tired of the constant bickering between the two.
Our fighting, makes Kagome and Nakamura, unhappy...” Koga thought.
“Well, he started it!” InuYasha yelled.
Koga narrowed his eyes and opened his mouth to say something when he felt a sharp tug on his ear.
“OW!” He and InuYasha both yelled as Nakamura had grabbed and ear from each other them. She pulled them back from each other, then let go.
“If I hear you two argue again tonight, I’ll pull those ears OFF!” she stated, walking back to the tree she was leaning on originally and hopping into it. She sat down on a low branch so her feet dangled just off the forest floor. She leaned on the branch and sighed, breathing in the wonderful scents of the cooked food that still lingered in the air, a fresh spring night, and InuYasha,. She had been longing for his scent since they had parted when they were young. She went into a relaxed, deep lumber, probably the first one she’d had in months.

Nakamura’s Dream:
Nakamura stood in a dark room alone. “Where am I?” she thought. It seemed familiar. A door opened and light rushed into the room, along with a horrible, wretched, but familiar scent and face. “Naraku,” she growled in a mumble, unable to speak any louder for some reason...

Back in the Real World...:
InuYasha looked up at his sister as he heard her mumble/growl. Her ear twitched and her teeth bared a bit. It was just a dream, so he thought nothing of it and simply went back to sleep, but it still slightly nagged at him in the back of his mind. He thought maybe he should wake her up, but when he looked up again, she seemed fine. He assumed it was just a part of a dream, and it was over now, so he drifted back into a light sleep.

Back in Nakamura’s Dream...:
Naraku came closer to her. He reached up and grabbed her chin. Nakamura thrashed her head from side to side as Naraku tried to kiss her. Naraku suddenly turned into an Earth demon with long, black hair, green eyes and dark green clothing. He lifted a hand and slapped her across the face. “Fuckin’ mutt bitch” he yelled.

Nakamura’s eyes flew open. She was sweating in cold sweat and shaking slightly. “Whew, it was only a dream,” She thought. It was still dark, and she was still up in the same tree, InuYasha sleeping down below on the ground, leaning on the trunk. She smiled lightly and leaned back against the trunk, drifting back into a slightly uneasy sleep.

“Nakamura, come on, get up” a familiar voice whispered.
Nakamura’s eyes flutter open to see a pair of amber optics matching her own. The sun was just beginning to come up and the sky was just turning a light shade of pink, brushed with orange. She looked around and everyone was still sleeping. She understood immediately that he wanted to talk. She smiled up at him, and he back off a bit, letting her stand and stretch before the two hopped down to the ground silently.
InuYasha turned his back to her and whispered “Here, get on, you won’t know where we’re going.” Nakamura nodded and got on him for a piggy back ride to this secret place.
“Take a nap on the way there, I want it to be a surprise,” he said once he had ran out of ear shot of the others.
“What are you up to?” Nakamura ask, resting her head on his shoulder.
“You’ll see...” he said, just looking ahead. She couldn’t help but smile as she closed her eyes and drifted off.

Meanwhile, InuYasha stopped every so often and would sniff the air, then turn into a different direction. After about ten minutes, he stopped.
“Nakamura” he said quietly, gently shaking her slightly.
Her eyes opened and she smiled when she looked up “Wow” she said in awe.
It was a magical place with a hot spring, a waterfall and a lush surrounding.
“I remember this place” she said, getting down off his back.
“I’m glad” he said smiling lightly.
It was were their mother used to bring them to bathe them. The smiled at each other and sat down, letting their feet dangle in the soothing, warm water. Nakamura looked up and the sun was almost completely up by now.
“We’d better get back before the others worry” she said standing. InuYasha nodded and turned for her to get back on.
“Nah, I can keep up” she said with a smirk. Though she did like to piggy back, she also loved to run with the wind rushing through her hair.
“Speaking of the others,” InuYasha said, walking out of the lush forest to return to the path, “Show this place to Kagome and Sango, I know they like to bath in the hot springs, but I didn’t want them to know about it until...” he couldn’t finish the sentence.
She understood. Coming here without her would bring back too many painful memories for him. She smiled and gave him a large hug.
InuYasha suddenly smelt salt in the air.
“Nakamura?” he asked.
She looked up and tears were coming down her cheeks.
“I-I’m sorry” he said hugging her and stroking her hair. “I shouldn’t have-“
“Shouldn’t have?” Nakamura said looking back up at him. A smile cracked on her face. “I’m crying because I’m happy InuYasha”
He looked at her, confused.
“I haven’t felt this loved, this cared for since we were little and mother and you took care of me. For the first time in a long time, I feel like I’m wanted” she said.
InuYasha smiled, glad that he hadn’t upset her. He pulled her into another tight embrace for a moment, then motioned for her to follow. He took off in a run and she followed, easily keeping up. He was shocked, as when she was little, she would run two feet, and trip. His little sister had grown up a lot, but she still hadn’t changed at all inside.
